Great boots very comfortable. I typically wear a size US11 in Doc Marten's lace up shoes. I ordered US11 in these boot but they were way too tight. I replaced them with a US12 and they fit perfectly. So be wary of sizing if you are used to a lace up Dr. Marten's shoe. For me at least, a slip on boot like this needed a full size step-up. They are super nice looking and not too heavy. Very durable.

Love these boots. Best boots I ever bought. Good steel toe, comfy good fit. Super cool style.

Great design and nice fit. The only problem I had was the seams where the two fabrics meet at the back scrapes the back of my feet. I put in a foam layer in the back and everything is good. Other than that, it's very comfy once you break into them (which didn't take long).

A great boot out of the box. I am always reluctant to buy a boot over the net being that I know how bad it can be if you are on your feet for a long time. I have had these boots for about a week now and did a 13 hour stint this last weekend and am amazed at the fact that is wasn't my feet that was sore by the end of the day. I am very impressed with the product.

Great boot. On my second pair. Takes a while to break-in, but becomes very comfortable. Great for climbing roofs. Soles do not hold mud and dirt to track back inside.

These are great boots. The break in process was uncomfortable in the beginning but just give them a chance to stretch. They fit great now and I will buy them again for work.

I absolutely love these boots for work. A steel toe is required for me and they need to be comfortable since I am on my feet eight hours out of the day. They look so good that I am considering getting another pair just to wear casually. Traction is very good, and they are very comfortable after a week or so of breaking in. Two minor complaints I have are that the original insole does not offer much arch support, but I fixed that easily with a cheap set of Dr. Scholl's and they are not so great if you have to walk through snow to get from A to B (as is the case here in lovely Minnesota) because the moisture will come through eventually, and it makes for a soggy, cold experience. Then again, nobody claimed these to be winter boots, so it is not really a complaint. I just had to get a pair of Kamik Workday 2 to get me through the winter until I can start wearing my awesome Docs again.

I've had these boots for 2 years and I'm on my feet daily... most comfortable boot ever once you get them broke in. Highly recommend!

Excellent boot very heavy duty feel, will definitely order again but at 1/2 size larger due to opening being tight.

The wide toe is very comfortable and the low heel makes your busy day easier. The steel tip protects my toes from my overly playful 8 month old Golden Retriever Pup!

Bought these for style and motorcycle riding rather than work. I have had Docs before and I liked the style of this particular boot. The quality appears excellent but I would recommend an insert. A little stiff out of the box but were broken in by the end of day and extremely comfortable since. They look like they would hold up great as a work boot. I ordered the Gaucho Volcano which is identical to the photo. I would recommend them and of course Zappos had them to me within two days!

I work in a lumber mill that requires steel-toed footwear, so I went onto zappos.com to find a back-up pair of work boots. I've always been a fan of Doc Martens, and naturally gravitated to their link. Zappos.com always offers speedy delivery, and I had the boots within a couple of days of ordering them. My other pair of boots started wearing out, so I started making my Riggers my go-to footwear. These boots do not disappoint: they were easy to break in and provide much needed cushion since I work 12 hours shifts. We're experiencing more downpours than usual in Alabama, so I decided to walk through a couple of puddles to see how they dealt with water. It was like water off a duck's back. My only complaint is I have to wear over the calf socks since there are no laces, otherwise the socks slide down into the shaft. Regardless, these boots are still worth the money and then some. Great job Doc Martens and Zappos!

My husband purchased this boot for work. This is his first slip on boot. He works in concrete and has to have a sturdy boot. At first he thought it was too tight across the boot and after several wears its comfortable and he is really happy with it!

These are great boots. I use them to ride my dirt bike to work. It might take a while to break these in.

Dr. Martens 2295 - Got these boots 2 days after ordered, I have very bad feet normally wear size 10.5 got the 11's very comfortable. I went and tried on 10 pairs of Wellingtons elsewhere and they were all 20 to 30 dollars more, even for same shoes. The second I put them on they were very good feeling. I have purchased about 8 pairs of shoes from Zappos. I am completely satisfied; the best customer service I have ever gotten anywhere a+++++ Kevin.

Don't mess with this boot - I am a loyal customer of Dr. Martens and these boots have not let me down. They are amazingly comfortable and easy to slip on and off. They work for both hiking and daily activities. They may chafe your leg a bit around the top so I would recommend wearing a tall sock. Overall a wonderful boot.

Top notch boot - I have 5 pairs!! These are the best money can buy, bar none.

Comfortable Wellington - It's difficult to find a good Wellington in a traditional round toe, especially one that is comfortable. These fit better than the other similar DM boot at size 11; closer fit, good footbed support. No break-in out of the box. Nice padded ankle shaft. I wear them alot. Prefer a lighter tan color but these seem to be lightening with time and a little brush off as needed. Not difficult to get on at all. Steel toe adds no appreciable weight. Will be wearing these awhile, I'm sure.

Wowed again! Love, love, love these boots! I ordered them two days before Christmas for my son and got them overnight with free shipping. Really? Does it get better than this? I think not. Service & selection is always second to none.

Great pair of boots - This is my first pair of steel toe boots and can't believe how comfortable they are, almost like wearing a tennis shoe.

Narrow Top- The ankle portion is a little tight pulling the boot on and off.

Replacement pair - I ordered a pair and the toe on the right boot was crowding my foot. I called Zappos and they said they would replace them w/ 2 day shipping. Second pair is great. No worries. This is my fourth pair of these from Zappos. Love the Zappos!!!

VERY COMFORTABLE! Just got my boots yesterday and couldn't believe how comfortable they were right out of the box. I thought I was in for a tough break-in period but wore them for 12 hours without a problem at all! Easy on and off, great fit and sooo easy on the feet. I'm a firefighter and work 24 hour shifts. I can be on my feet for 18+ hours on concrete so comfort and shock absorption is paramount. I think I've found the perfect boot. By the way, I wear 10.5 and the 11's fit perfectly.
