Best Work Boot Yet - This is my second pair, and I love them! So comfortable and durable! They do tend to stretch out over time, but they have held up better than any other work boot I've worn. I buy a new pair every year!

Great boots - I've had these boots for 2 years, and they get even better with age. Always comfortable. I can even wear them without socks - never a sore foot!

Favorite Doc's - This is my husband's second pair of these boots. It's the only shoe he ever wears! Very comfortable and extremely durable.

Unbelievable - I bought these boots awhile back, right before I went to see Clapton in Charlottesville. If these are steel toe boots . . . you could have fooled me. I never have cared for steel toe shoes or boots and to be honest if I had read the description like I should have, I would have never bought them because of the steel. Thankfully, I didn't read it. I have worn Martens most of my life and these are the best. The most comfortable, easy to put on, go anywhere, fit perfectly, and they look good. My only complaint is the "industrial blah blah blah" etched into the outside heel of this great boot. Almost sent them back because of this bozo move by Marten. Glad I didn't. Gonna order them in black. Great boot. By the way, Zappos is the only place to buy your Martens . . . great people these Zappos.

Great boots. I use them primarily for commuting to work by motorcycle but they are comfortable enough to wear all day (I ditched the paper thin stock insole and got Superfeet). Leather is a little soft but durable enough. I've had them a few months and have a few scuffs. I don't love the ankle padding but it's probably very useful to someone. I've thought about cutting it out but not sure if it would look flappy like a belly after liposuction. My shins got the skin chafing described in other reviews but I simply wear higher socks and roll them over the top of boot, which seems to prevent the socks from slumping, too. Love the yellow stitching. Not light but not excessively heavy, either.

Comfortable boot after trying several other brands and styles these were the right ones for me. Sturdy, good looking, sure gripping soles. The service I have received from Zappos is most likely the best I have ever experienced. What a great company to do business with.

I purchased these boots around November of 2008 and have had a good long while to wear them. Admittedly, I don't wear them every day, but I've worn them enough now where I feel like I can write a review I'm confident in. These boots don't really need breaking in, because they are very comfortable the first time you put them on. I would say these boots are definitely as comfortable as sneakers. Even running in them is not an issue. The soles are the good Doc soles we're all accustomed to. My only complaint about these is the fact I really can't wear them more than one day, because the tops of my feet are very sore by the end. The boot is snug and feels great the first half of the day, but you really feel it after 6-7 hours. I thought that maybe it was because the boots were still new, and after a while they would break in to where it wouldn't affect the tops of my feet so much. Nope. Even after all this time, I can't wait to get them off by the end of the day, which is a shame because otherwise they are so comfortable. That is the only reason I don't recommend these boots.

Awesome steel-toed work boots but I recommend going wider since the toe-box is so tapered. I'm W size 8.5 or 9, depending. I wear wider styled shoes (Birkenstocks) even with a slender foot. I ordered my norm size 9 & went with the x-wide. Perfect fit considering these do the tapered thing which is so unnatural (no baby in any part of the world is born with tapered feet at the toes...they all look like Birkenstocks model till they're squished into 'european' style/tapered shoes.) Do yourself a favor & go wider. LOVE the pull-on style. Good looking, functional boots.

Buy a size larger! I wear a 13 and buy size 14. I use them for rural ems, some hiking and in snow. They fit well enough for those. The sole does wear out sooner that most but I wear them every shift. I've tried many others, ankle pad is great, composite toe, calf high. This is my fourth pair.

5th pair of docs I’ve owned (yes, I’m old). 3rd pair for work. all prior have been 1460’s. Only recently (within the last 5-6 years) have I been concerned with safety toe shoes. They are not required for my position (tons of walking, forklifts, slip hazards, and crush potential), but I’d rather be safe than sorry. I have since been through Wolverine durashocks (slip-on composite toe), Indestructible Shoes, and Timberland Pro’s. All required a break-in period, and lasted less than a year (durashocks aside). None were as comfortable as these. True to size (as far as docs go…), and comfortable out of the box. Long story short: Go with what you know. We all know that Dr. Martens makes a quality product that is as durable as they are comfortable. If the asian origin products are half as tough as the UK originals, every bipedal should have a pair, especially of the slip-on variety.

This is the second pair of this style that I’ve owned. The first pair, purchased over a decade ago, was medium width, and I’ve since learned that I have a wide foot. I love the steel toe and electrical hazard rating. My first pair is well broken-in, and still wearable, but this new pair is super-comfy, thanks to the extra room.

These fit true to size. The leather is buttery soft after break in. I have bought many pair of these and will continue to buy. These boots are a value at this price!

I’m shocked at how amazing these boots are. They feel solid, they go on and off easily and so far are sound. They have better arch support than some other docs I’ve owned.

This is the second pair of this style dr marten boot I have owned...I wear these boots 9-12 hours a day, 6-7 days a week. Basically these boots and two pairs of flip flops is all I own...so they have to be comfortable. and they are. As all boots they do take a little wear to break in...usually a little tight on top of foot but this goes away..after about ten days...These are more comfortable the the Red W's, Chippewa etc....I will buy these again! The steel toe is nice and wide. Heavy leather and padded ankle ....

Excellent form, fit, and function. No arch support but this was expected. Get a good set of insoles and you are all set. Doc Martens forever.

These boots are great! This is the second pair that I've ordered from Zappos. They are very comfortable, feel great and look great. I wore my first pair for about 4 - 5 years and got some good miles out of them. They did kinda loosen up a little bit along the way, but were still very comfortable and the construction of the boot & sole held up well. I don't work construction in them just wear them as daily foot gear. Would still have the first pair but I gave them to a barefoot homeless guy that was in bad shape. He was stoked to receive them. I ordered up a replacement pair and have them on my feet now. I like these boots better than a similar pair I ordered from Frye. The Frye boots were ridiculously overpriced at about $700. These $125 Doc Martens are better by far at a fraction of the price. Cheers!
