I've had my last pair of Birkenstock's for 15 years and wear them almost everyday 9 months of the year. My old pair fit my feet like a glove so I found the new pair rather stiff...but, I know it is worth breaking them in; I expect to wear them for many, many years and many, many miles. It had been so long ago that I bought a pair I didn't remember a problem with sizing however; these ran a full size larger than marked.

Just heavenly - This is my 13th pair of Birkenstocks, but my first Arizona’s. I was afraid that a sandal without a back strap would fall off my feet or cause me to twist my ankle, but no! Then again, I ordered a narrow in these, whereas all my other Birks are regular width. I couldn't be happier with the fit or the color (the olive green leather). They did take a bit of breaking in (the leather is stiff at first, but stretches easily enough), and now I wear them all the time. I even use them for my daily walks instead of gym shoes. My feet actually feel better at the end of a long walk in Birks than they do in gym shoes.

Great, but the narrows are really narrow - My teenage sons both have these sandals and wear them all the time (and the oldest ones are holding up quite well after 2 years). Be sure to buy the glue that you use to paint the cork (made by Birkenstock--I bought it at a shoe store) and do it every so often to maintain the cork soles. I bought the narrow for my younger son who has a true narrow foot, and the width is just barely wide enough. Only get the narrow if you have a really narrow foot. Also, these tend to run big. We all got a size smaller than what is suggested when you compare your American shoe size to the metric size. Example: I wear a 7.5 or 8 normally, and that would correspond to a 38 or 39, but my Birkenstocks are 37. Both my boys have suede Arizona’s (black and taupe). The suede stretches a lot, and the sandals that are two years old stretched so much that we had to cut some off and punch new holes. Don't know if the black ones will do this because my other son just got them. They are great looking sandals for a young guy to wear with jeans or shorts.

Birkenstock Arizona - First: These look like a pretty PINK in the photo on line, but they are VERY DARK RED. Unless you have very wide feet, don't bother. I have tried in the past to wear Birks; but until they make a narrow shoe that fits American feet I will order another brand. They are very well made & would be a great shoe if you have wide feet.

I love my Birks! Great shoe! I wear an 8 in US sizes but in Birks I wear a 38 so keep that in mind, also I would not consider my foot narrow but in Birks the narrow fit works the best for me.

My son's Birkenstock - These are my son's first Birkenstocks and he loves them. He usually wears men’s size 8.5 or 9 street shoes but we had to go down to 39 for the Birkenstocks. I would advise people to go down one full size for ordering.

These are simply the best. If you've never had a pair of these, you should. If you do, you understand. Birkenstocks are simply the most comfortable sandals made, the Ultimate Walking Sandal (a la BMW's line - plus Birk’s are made in Germany). The foot bed somehow evolves into becoming your sole shape, making them the most shaped footwear you could possibly have. I highly recommend these.

A basic comfortable sandal - Takes a bit of breaking in, but they are comfortable when fit is adjusted to your foot. Only problem is that the leather is not water proof. So far, these are the most comfortable sandals I have found for everyday wear, and they feel like an orthotic arch support for my flat feet. Choose regular (wide) unless you have a very narrow foot. Also plan to have extra holes punched in the straps to adjust to your foot size. If you are like me and never wore a sandal without heel straps, it does take some adjustment. As always, Zappos is the best shopping site for viewing & choosing a style to match your feet.

Fabulous - I have worn Birkenstock for years, the Arizona is my favorite, and I returned for new insoles and have quite a collection.

Love my Birks! I love my new Birks! They are comfortable and give my high arches plenty of support.

Extreme comfort - I bought these as a gift - he loved them, could not believe just how comfortable they are.

It took me a couple of tries to find my size. I usually wear a 7.5 or 8, and ended up with a 37 N. Zappos handled all my returns well, and I am very happy with the shoes. The materials are good quality. The navy blue color looks nice with jeans. They are comfortable, even on days that we walk for many hours, and show off the multicolored wool socks that I knit as a hobby.

summer sandal - I have worn this style sandal for many years now every summmer. Some of the women I work with laugh at me because I never wear heels or anything "sexy". Personally I think these are. I can't wait every year for warm weather so I can shed my socks and put on my birkes.

Birko-Flor Arizonas - I already knew I loved the Arizona style of Birkenstocks, but I wasn't sure if I would like these shoes. I don't usually like "faux" leather as it doesn't breathe. However, Birko-Flor is not too warm to be comfortable since this style is so open. They may not be leather, but they do look like it. The thing I really like is that they do not stain if they get wet or something is spilled on the uppers like the suede models do. They are not stiff or hard; they adjust comfortably to the foot. All in all, I was pleased with the Birko-Flor Arizonas.

Comfortable - These are as comfortable as I remember my first pair being 15 years ago. I wore my first 2 pairs for about 5 years each before the wore out. That was 5 years of wearing them alot! I ordered the narrow width, even though I normally wear a regular width in other shoes, and they fit fine. Zappos is great. I received these 1 business day after I ordered them.

An old classic; simply one of the best sandals ever made and one that others are compared to. What you see is what you get; a traditional, comfortable, tough sandal.

Another great pair of Birks - This is my umpteenth pair of Arizona Birkenstocks. They are the best shoes for my feet and are always wonderful to slip on after work and to wear on weekends. The bordeaux glossy leather Arizonas look classy and comfortable at the same time. Thanks Zappos for the speedy delivery.

Birkenstock Arizona's are very comfortable - These shoes are very comfortable. They are a little pricey, but last for a LONG time. I have had a pair for like 7 years now...and I really didn't even need a new pair..I just thought I was due!!

My first pair of Birkies! This was my first pair. It took three tries to get the size and width exactly right, but the final pair fits like they were made just for me. They are comfortable, attractive, and offer me a great opportunity to show off the hand knit socks that are my hobby. If I had it to do over again, I'd get the suede, I think. Love these, though. You can't beat the Zappos’ customer support team for being understanding and helpful. Excellent doing business with them.

Great for plantar fasciitis! This is my third pair of Arizonas since 1997. They are the best thing you can do for your feet, especially for those of us with pf. If you are new to Birkenstocks, be aware that you have to break these in slowly until they form to your feet (and straps must be loose). Also, be sure to order narrow if your feet are medium width. My last pair was also the navy blue silky suede and I enjoyed them so much I had to have another pair. Zappos is great since they match prices and I was able to order other colors just to be sure that these were the color I wanted. Thank you Zappos for not making me go out shopping at shoe stores!
