Birkenstock Arizona, always a winner - What's not to like about the classic Birkenstock Arizona? Loved the cocao color, and as a wearer for over 20 years, the key is selecting the right size. Thanks to Zappos for the fast and reliable service.

Best sandal for comfort - Birkenstocks are one of the best sandals I have ever owned. The fit was on the mark and is great for walking distances. I also like the Birkenstock quality and reassurance that this shoe will last for years. The comfort of the shoe is terrific.

Great Shoe! Originally I ordered a size 42 Men’s Birkenstock Arizona for my boyfriend. I went by what other Zappos customers had commented about and ordered a size smaller than he normally wears. They ended up being just a tad too small so we returned them for a Men’s 43 in the cocoa nubuck. At first they felt weird on his feet (as they do for most first time Birk wearers) but after the first few wears they are the most comfortable shoes he owns. I was a little apprehensive about ordering the Narrow Width because he doesn't have "narrow" feet but they turned out to fit perfectly. I have a pair myself and wear them whenever I feel like dressing casual/comfortable. They are great shoes and Zappos return shipping was wonderful! So if you're concerned you might not order the right size don't worry about it because you can always return them. :)

More of the same - This is my fifth or sixth pair of Birkenstock Arizona’s. Obviously the shoe fits my foot, as well as my lifestyle, very well! I can wear the shoe all day without discomfort. It's all about comfort and healthy feet for me. I enjoy both with this shoe.

Birkies Again - Just bought my 5th pair of Birkies -- first from Zappos. The Arizona is the most comfortable of their styles for me & this is my 3rd pair of them. While their narrow is definitely not the AA I usually wear, with bulky socks they're perfect. And with an extra hole on the straps, they stay on just fine without the bulky socks.

Birkenstock Arizona the only shoe for total comfort - I have worn two pairs of Arizona’s for about 15 years. I wear them all the time: I keep one pair at the back door and one pair at the front door. The cork is starting to disintegrate, but I have not babied them, so it is understandable. A local dealer will refurbish them at low cost. Yes, they are a bit ugly, but for comfort they are the best. I broke both heels two years ago in a fall from a ladder and these were and continue to be Godsends. Big initial investment, but they last forever, and can be repaired indefinitely.

Birkenstock for Lance - This is a great price for a classic shoe. I was happy that you had it in the right size and right color. The best part was how fast you got them to me. I was leaving on a trip and really needed them quick. You came through and I am very pleased.

My favorite - Best sandals you'll ever wear; whether it's at a concert, at work, at school, in the house, in the park, you'll never be disappointed. You'll think you're barefoot, but with great arch support!

Birkenstock Arizona - I originally ordered regular width. Way too wide. Zappos excellent customer service had a narrow pair to me right away. Now that is great service. I am very happy with my Birkenstocks and even happier with Zappos excellent customer service.

Arizona's Rock! I love Birkenstocks and have several pair. I especially love the Arizona. I have Arizona's in every color, style, and all fabrics available. The original footbed is wonderful. I also love the "soft" footbed that has a layer of latex in the footbed. I wear the soft footbed as slippers! I also wear them out as well, but normally wear the traditional footbed out, and come home and slip into a pair of the softbed Arizonas. They are so much more comfortable than any slipper I have ever had. I have flat feet and back problems. The Birkenstock footbed aligns the body so your posture is improved. I would encourage anyone who hasn't tried Birkenstocks to try the Arizona first. It's a basic that has been around for years. The uppers are fun too. Everything from leather to suede leather to birko-flor. Don't shy away from the birko-flor upper. It's manmade but feels like a soft leather. And usually less expensive. They are worth every penny though and don't be discouraged by the price. Birkenstocks last forever! And if the footbed does wear out, they can be replaced! I asked my Podiatrist if it was OK to wear Birkenstocks, he kind of smiled and showed me what he had on his feet--Birkenstocks!! I think if a Podiatrist is wearing Birkenstocks, they must be good for out feet! They are wonderful and I wear nothing else. Try them!

They're not pretty, but... They're not pretty, but pretty isn't why you buy Birkenstocks. Actually, these were for my teenager, replacing a pair she'd worn down to the cork. They are comfortable and seem to go with everything a 17 year old wears.

Happy with Birks - Originally, the size was larger than expected and needed to be exchanged. However, once this was corrected, the sandals were excellent and I was very pleased.

This is my 3rd pair of Arizona and I still have mine which are 5 years old. They are finally showing the age because I wear them all the time including winter at home. The leather takes a while to soften up so I usually wear with the socks at home for a week to break them. They are the most comfortable shoes that I know and my whole family is in love with the Birkenstocks including my 3 years old.

Nice Sandal - I have had many pairs of Birks and this one is of the same quality as those I purchased 15 years ago. They do seem to change their product which is great because most companies make things shoddier.

Birkenstock review - What can you say about Birkenstock Arizona’s? Everyone needs a pair. They are perfect for any casual wear. This is my 3rd pair of them, they last about 10 years.

My first pair has gone 15 years. Plan to have them refurbished. The new model seems to run wide so we reordered the narrow and they fit fine. The transaction went smoothly and the new order arrived quickly. Thank you Zappos.

When It's Built Well, Wear It! Birkenstock is the best sandal. Just don't wear it in the rain! Save it for a rainy day, so to speak! The cork sole hates water! A Classic is built to last!

This is my 14th pair of Birks - I love these shoes; this is my 14th pair of Birks, second pair of Arizona’s. My last pair lasted 9 yrs of constant wear. If you have any type of foot problems or stand a lot these are the shoes for you. I wore these after I broke my ankle when I couldn't get my foot in any other shoe. I LOVE THEM!

Can’t beat the Birks - These shoes are such a delight to wear that I get home from somewhere wearing sneakers and I change to my Birks- They provide support, and just make my feet feel good.

Birkenstock Arizona - This shoe is very, very comfortable. It's ease of getting it on, for me (I'm "Physically Challenged"), is great and adds to the rating of 5 Stars. The only minus is its "Clunky" look but I have no suggestion for making it look "Sleeker". For me this is minor as the feel, fit and ease of putting it on are most important.

Great sandal, after minor field modification - After having these sandals a few weeks and making a minor modification, they now fit like gloves. Very comfortable gloves. First - the arch support is pronounced. My arches were a bit sore the first few wears, but I could feel my feet adjusting (for the better, it seems). Second - the field modification: I wear size 11M and originally purchased these in narrow on another customer's recommendation (that the medium is too wide). Well, it turned out that while the sandal was comfortably snug, the sole was a bit too narrow. So I returned those and ordered the 11M. The sole was a perfect fit but now I couldn't make the sandal snug enough! Solution: drill another hole in the straps (I carefully chose the right drill bit then used a power drill). The new holes are indistinguishable from the existing ones. Of course Zappos won't take them back now, but I have no plans to return them...

Birkenstock Arizona... I can't tell you how much I love this shoe. I have other Birks, but the Arizona looks like a Birk, feels like a Birk, and is the epitome of a Birk! I sold shoes for 25 years and I have never found anything that comes close to the comfort of this shoe. I've had people say they are ugly. As they say, beauty is in the eye...etc etc. I've worn them for years, but in 2003 I had to have back surgery and they were a life saver for me. Love them and will never wear anything else.

Great Shoe for "Problem" Feet - I have plantar fasciitis & have to wear orthotics in my lace-up shoes. After I also broke my foot and got my cast off, I despaired of what shoes I would wear, as my foot was still quite swollen & sore & couldn't fit with the orthotic in my shoe. Good old Birkenstocks' Arizona’s to the rescue. A year later, I'm all healed up & I'm still wearing them & they still feel great. A wonderful shoe!
