This is an early review, since I have wore the item a few times. Comfortable for walking, good arch support. Hopefully for the price they will last. I just wanted to let everyone know, that Zappos Customer Service has been outstanding. These are a replacement for another brand that I purchase which with a few wear they starting to fall apart. Zappos diligence addressing the issue was exceptional. Honestly, it is hard to find now days such customer care. Thank You Zappos!!!

I would love these shoes if they weren't so narrow. So well made. I have a wide foot. I barely filled the length but was falling over the edges.

The sandals were beautiful and well made but too narrow for me.

I wear an 8.5 wide and the 9 in this is just fine. The print on the leather is beautiful and the suede footbase is pleasant to the feet. I wonder if they will stretch a bit too much over time, but I am really loving having such a feminine but comfy pair of sandals.

I got these to replace a pair of gold Helen's I have loved for many years, and after two sole replacements, and countless miles, the thong finally gave up and broke. I didn't realize though from the photo that they were all disco sparkly. More Kardashian/Vegas/Palm Springs than I would ever want. My family actually laughed out loud when they saw them. Please bring back the old gold style (not rose gold or bronze). They were so perfect California, casual chic.

These are beautiful shoes and I'm sorry to have to return them but they were just a little short. Navy color is lovely and very soft.

Cute sandals and generally comfortable. I don't think the toe strap would bother me but I didn't wear it for long. I returned them because the width across the balls of my feet was just a tad too narrow. I have never had a problem with shoes being too narrow before.

The materials are high quality and comfortable. The sizing is off a bit. I wear a 40 in Birkenstocks. And needed a 41 in the Mephistos

Of all the orthotic/comfort sandals out there, Mephisto makes the best. I had a similar pair 2 years ago that were much cuter and looked similar to the popular Birkenstock style, but they don't make those anymore, so these are the replacements. I cannot wear Birks because the heels are lower than the ball of the foot, which aggrivates plantar fasciitis. My podiatrist recommended Mephistos because they have a higher heel in the footbed, and finally! I can wear open sandals with no pain! I got at least 300 days of long wear out of my previous pair. I am very happy with these as well.

These shoes are true to size and fit comfortably after a little breaking in period -- much like Birkenstocks in the way the foot needs to mold to the shoe. I like the shoe but in the end I think for the money this sandal is over priced. They are getting the money for the name not necessarily because the comfort will blow you away.

This was exactly the type of shoe I was looking for and I loved the Bronze Star color, but unfortunately it didn't work for me. My true size fit, but the lip along the edge of the shoe bed was hitting my feet and toes. When I sized up, it fit better but there was too much space by my heel and the shoe just looked too big on me. I have very long toes and the lip on these shoes (and all Birks) just don't work for me because my toes hit the raised lip along the perimeter of the shoe bed.

These are great sandals, as expected. They are so light though I wonder how long they will last. I had a pair of Echoes several years ago with almost the same design but the leather was thicker and the soles were more substantial. They were practically indestructible. I gave these a 4 only because I think they are overpriced but they are very comfortable; I always wanted to try a pair.

These are cute but I have a rare neuropathy and they are too hard for my feet so unfortunately I have to return. Going to try Dansko Sandals next I think or Naot which I know works for me.

Overall a nice pair of shoes. I have wide feet and they just fit enough to not look ridiculous. Beware though, the strap on the foot is not lined with softer material. I learned the hard way and wore them in hot weather, walked 5 miles, and got two huge blisters on the top of my foot. But the style, arch support, and overall fit are nice!

I was so excited to try these! I sized up a whole size and they were still considerably small! Bummed, they are going back. (I’m a size 12, ordered 13... so i can’t exchange!)

expected to love. footbed comfortable. never got the strap adjusted to fit. too loose or too snug-foot numb after about 10 minutes-big surprise . loved the look of the sandal.

I really want to like this sandal but I’ve been wearing them around the house and it seems like they are stretching really fast. The white leather looks old like these were worn by someone else but not as pretty as I hoped. Going to trade for another pair and see if they fit better.

unfortunately, I tried the brown leather first order; had to return them because the leather was too stiff and cut my toes. Now I'm returning the navy nubuck because the blue is coming off on me, and I only tried them on... :(

This shoe is listed as medium and it is. The Mephisto Harmony will fit my wide foot, so I thought the Helen might also, but it feels narrow (it would be fine for someone with a normal or narrow foot). I also found all the leather strapping around the big toes to be kind of annoying. Very well-made, high quality shoe, but not for me.

I also bought these in the navy blue nubuck - a really nice color blue, and the nubuck was so much more comfortable. These felt a little stiff, so I'm returning these and going with the nubuck

I loved these shoes, but my feet are wide and they just looked too cramped in these shoes. Going one size up didn't help with width. They are definitely cute though and I can tell would be VERY comfortable!

The fit was a half to full size smaller, and the width was also narrower. The material and quality are just what I wanted but I will need to return because there is not enough room on the side of my feet, just a little too snug.

These are beautiful shoes! I have worn 38 in the past but they will go back as they are too long. I’ll try size 37.

Love this brand but fit is not great for me. I have several pairs that are about 4-5 years old and they seem to fit better than the new ones. Sadly, I'm returning because of this not so great fit.

I have been wearing Mephisto’s for many years and unfortunately feel the quality of the shoe has deteriorated. The cork breaks down after one summer, the arch support that they were famous for isn’t what it was. The leather upper is still nice but the cork breaking down is unacceptable for the short amount of time I wore them. No wear to the soles but can’t wear them out again. Now a yard shoe. Sad. Bring back the craftsmanship please! Loved this brand.
