Love these sandals! I have suffered from feet problems playing tennis. I wear these everywhere! Including my house where I have hardwood floors. Podiatrist suggests I wear a supportive shoe at all times and to not go barefoot. Love this style, no break in period, and not bulky& wide like birkenstocks. I will forever purchase these shoes! Thanks to Zappos for carrying so many styles of this brand. Worth the money! I promise!

Having always worn Birks these are the first pair of Mephistos I have bought. Ordered the blue because everything seems to go with my blue sandals. The color is pretty and these are very comfortable as well. No break in period for me at all. I have high arches and plantar fasciitis -these work for me and I can walk with out pain. Thanks Zappos!

I love my Mephistos. I have delicate arches and require support. They have awesome support and go with everything. I have these in black and a similar design Naot in brown. They are great for dress slacks, skirts or casual. I won't be wearing anything else all summer long!

Very pretty sandals. I needed the wide (called +) and unfortunately this color doesn't come in wide.

Love these shoes. Great arch support for flat feet. The finish is so fun; it changes from every angle: almost glows in the dark!

These shoes are so comfortable! I wear them everywhere. They are less bulky than other shoes similar on the market. The style is perfect for wearing for either dressing up a bit or just for every day. I love my Mephisto's!! Thanks Zappos!

Love this shoe. Some things to consider: - I did have to go up one size. I usually wear a size 10/40, and had to order a 41. - the 40 fit better across the bridge of the foot, but my toes hung off a little - not something to walk miles and miles in, but more for support going around town - looks slimmer and more stylish than a birkenstock (IMO)

These shoes are incredible - no break-in time like Birkenstocks and a bit more cushion in the footbed. I put them on the second I got them and wore them for hours without any issues, blisters, etc. They're totally true to size. I've received compliments left and right, to the point that a friend sought me out for specifics so she could buy them immediately. I couldn't recommend these more - worth EVERY cent!!

Love this sandal! Very comfortable. I did not find that it was necessary to size up. I usually wear a size 8~sometimes can wear a 7 1/2~usually an 8 1/2 in running shoes. I originally followed the recommendation of ordering up and got the 9, but it was too big. My friend liked them so much that she bought the 9's. She usually wears an 8 too. My foot was thinner and I ended up with the straps at the top being too loose, but it fit her perfectly. I think size will depend on the thickness of your foot.

I love this shoe so much I have it in 13 different colors. Helen is the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned, I have an extremely high arch and it gives me perfect support.

This is my fourth pair of this model (Helen), over about seven years. I normally wear a 36 in other shoes, and that is what I order each time and they fit fine. So I had no need to order a size up as the site recommends. I wore them right out of the box. I did not have any trouble with my feet turning colors from the dye in the leather. I did have a little rubbing by the toe strap on a hot, humid day, and had to use a Band-Aid for the first few days. But they broke in quickly. There are some of my favorite shoes - they are great for being on my feet all day and they look good. I prefer the dark colors as the lighter colors show stains and do not look as nice for as long. I definitely love these and recommend them.

I love these shoes! I hot them about three days before a 10 day trip to Europe. They did not need breaking in and they were so comfortable on my trip. I highly recommend them.

I bought these sandals in my usual size (7) and they fit perfectly. I love the soft leather, the excellent arch support, the anatomical footbed, and the adjustable buckle. Of course, the style and workmanship are beautiful, which is to be expected from Mephisto. I love these sandals--they are so comfortable and flattering to my wide foot.

I did consider exchanging these when they first came. I am a size 10 and they were so tight, but they are leathee and they stretch. After a week of wearing them occassionally I am so glad I kept them. They fit perfect and are so comfy and have the arch support I was looking for. I may consider another style that aren't too casual for work.

I couldn't love these more! They are super comfortable, great quality and look so classy. Everyone where I live (in Oregon) has Birkenstocks but I like these better and I like that I have something different than everyone else! They're simply wonderful!!!

These are my favorite sandals. I've been wearing them for more than 10 years; every few years I buy a couple of pairs. They are pretty, sturdy, have great support and are really comfortable. I love the Helen sandal and recommend highly!

There's a reason Mephisto makes the Helen in so many colors and leathers: it is just a wonderful blend of comfortable and attractive, and it is timeless. I have been wearing these for so many years-- have probably bought at least ten pair over the past ten years. The brown scratch leather is my favorite so far but also love the black nubuck as it lets me have some of that contemporary heavier black sandal vibe without giving up any comfort. These run narrow which is great for me. I usually wear a size 8.5 but need a 39 or 9 in Mephisto sandals. These also accommodate a very individual need of mine -- since one leg is slightly shorter, I feel best when I can put a 3/8 inch wedge under my heel. Simple in most boots, but the only sandals that work are Mephisto and some Naot -- because the shoe service shop can insert a wedge right into the sole. If you choose the sandals with black soles, you can barely see it when you're wearing the sandals. I love these and am so glad that Mephisto keeps offering the same style, year after year. I know I can always get a new pair without stressing. Hope that never changes!

This is the third pair of the Mephisto Helen. Other reviews say this sandal runs small, but it fits true to size like the first pair I bought more than a decade ago. Oh yeah, these shoes last. They feel fabulous, look sexy (from my bird's eye vantage!). I have average feet but I like to treat them well so that my knees, hips and back feel great.

The first pair ordered was a 38 and they were too short and narrow. I have a little bit of a wide foot. Replaced for a 39, and they measure the same length as a croc flip, just not as wide. I can live with the width though because these shoes are so comfy great support and stay on. Zappos rocks with my exchange arriving next day. How do they do that? Would love to see wide widths but can live with this because feels so good.

Love! The color is kind of crazy but also fun. They're cute and comfortable. They are on the narrower side.

After trying two dozen sandals, I tried these and kept them. They leather is quite soft, the footbed comfortable and stable. I have almost narrow feet and had to buckle the last hole to make them fit the best. They also seem to be a little longer on my heel than other Mephisto sandals I have, but they have good arch support and I don't even notice I am wearing them. That's the sign of a good shoe!

This is my second time purchasing! I am obsessed! I wore my last pair last summer every single day. I think that mold was growing because when I pulled them out this summer I kept getting athletes foot so I threw them away and bought another pair. My recommendation is to not get them wet to avoid issues. These are the best sandals ever!

I think this is the seventh or eighth pair of Helens I have purchased over many years. I normally wear a 10 but wear a 11 in these sandals in order to have a little space at front and back of shoe. And they last for years though I do send them to Mephisto to have resoled every few years when the cork in the sole hardens. Love them and love Zappos.com as can get them in colors I've never seen in local shoe stores.
