Mephisto Myths are TRUE - For years I heard people rave about Mephisto’s, and finally bought a pair. I now have five pairs, and love them all. Three are the Rush in black, brown, dark gray/green, and two are sandals. They all fit me as well as any shoes I own. They are sturdy and comfortable. I love them.

Mephisto Shoes - Love these shoes...last for years because I have them refurbished when needed.

This is without a doubt the best walking shoe I've ever owned. After 3 years of heavy use, it is as supportive as ever. There is a break-in period, but after that the shoe confirms beautifully to the foot. I also own Taryn Rose, but this shoe is in a league by itself.

These are great shoes! They are a wonderful walking shoe, and have some style which is hard to find! I use custom orthotics in my shoes and they fit very nicely.

Happy feet! These are my second pair of Mephisto shoes. My old ones (resoled twice) have been in many countries, making my walking easy. Now they are a little shabby so, I ordered a new pair from Zappos and am very satisfied and sure they will last as long as I do! MMB

Great walking shoes! I ordered my first pair of Rush in my normal size and they feel a full size larger than marked, especially in the heel area, so I have to wear them with extra thick socks to feel comfortable. In addition, with the expert advice of Zappos' team, I decided to order a second pair 1/2 size smaller in a different color. These feel very comfortable and I can wear them with thin socks.

Mephisto Rush - The only shoe I ever found that fit my feet. I wish more stores carried it in the narrow size.

Mephisto's Rush - Love the shoes. Shipping was fast and it’s so nice to know that if the shoes don't fit, etc., they can be shipped back at no cost to me. Zappos has my business from now on.

Errand Day Shoe - When you have about 100 errands to run in a day...this is the shoe to wear. Probably not the most stylish pair in your wardrobe...but it will be the most comfortable. The only major problem I have now is that it is hard to justify a Starbucks stop to rest my tired feet. Seriously, these shoes are very comfortable for long days on your feet.

Mephisto's the best! Excellent shoes again, thanks! Bought Rush last Christmas, my 2nd pair of Mephisto’s & worth every penny again. Daily wear, heavy usage, doctor recommended, outstanding comfort - honestly if you're reading this & not sure, you must try Mephisto. With Zappos excellent service, it's the perfect combination. Mephisto: please make model avail again: black nubuck women's wing-tip oxford from 10 yrs ago - a fancier Rush. Wore them almost daily for 7 yrs, 2 new soles. You are heaven for feet!

Great shoe - I only wear this style. Each year I buy at least 2 pairs of the Mephisto. I only wish they would go back to making a white or bone for the warm season. When I travel to warm climates it would be nice to wear a lighter looking Rush. It is the only great working shoe I can buy. Nothing else feels good on my feet. I have been wearing this style for 10yrs. I wish Mephisto would give its customers a punch card for the shoes bought. Happy Rush shoe owner.

Old Faithful!! These shoes are expensive, but if you are familiar with the Mephisto brand, you know they are worth every penny. Excellent shoes, this is my third pair. I find the leather a little tougher to break in than the suede version, however once they are broken in, they fit great.

Go Mephisto! I'm on my fourth Mephisto, and a proud owner. I've never felt the comfort and ease that this brand offers. It is a good investment for people who have foot issues and who are on feet most of the day. Try it - you won't regret it!

Happy Feet in CT - I have the Helen in size 40 with room to wiggle my toes. But the "Rush" was very small in my normal 9.5 so I had to order a full size larger (as I love to wear very thick socks with these work shoes.) Theses have the ultimate in arch support for people standing all day and my back and neck love the relaxed heel.

Mephisto Rush - This is my fourth Rush shoe. They feel wider than the average shoe and give great walking support. I was able to give up my orthodics when I discovered this shoe. I would recommend it for people with wide feet and for heavy people. I know Pavarotti likes Mephisto’s because of the support he gets.

Wonderful shoe!! So far, I own 2 pairs. I need this shoe because I have Plantar Fasciitis AND I need a narrow shoe. This shoe fits the bill. Too bad Mephisto doesn't have more narrow shoes. That would be the only brand I would ever buy

What a shoe - This is almost like a well made tennis shoe- feels light and supportive, but looks really good with slacks and jeans. I bought the shoes right before a trip to Italy, and really didn't have time for a proper break in, but banked on the time I had a brand new pair of Hurrikans- wearing them without socks on a wee outing only to have the outing stretch into a 15 mile walk...my feet never suffered....this shoe did the same.

Exactly what I wanted - The shoe fits like a glove for my very hard small foot to fit. The narrow heel is perfect. I have had this shoe in the past and wore it out. It is a great traveling walking shoe.

Great shoe - This is the 3rd pair of this style that I have had. They are comfortable from the first try-on and wear beautifully even with hard daily use.

Wonderful shoe - I've only had them a few weeks, but it required no breaking in, and I can wear them 15 hours with no problems.

Worth it! I use my Mephisto Rush shoes for multi-tasking...I am a decorative artist and stand on ladders, concrete, and stone most of the day, walking over uneven surfaces to get into job sites...but if there is a chance to escape the place and go hiking nearby, I will go for it. The Mephisto shoe has a more rigid foot bed than most shoes, and the form of the arch and foot support is not overbearing for my foot shape. So on ladders I can stand as though I am on the floor, my foot doesn't curl over the ladder step and wear me out. And on slippery surfaces when hiking or working, the shoe sole is grippy. I really DO NOT like the black or brownish leather style, the only color I like is the one in suede. I liked the two tone suede one even more, as it was neutral and interesting and looked slightly more hip. Zappos was the only place that had this style ready to go, and it came just as promised. So I am a fan of both the shoe and the shoe store!

The best Mephisto - These are the most comfortable shoes I have owned in a long time. Perfect fit, with, length and very good arch support. Even though I wear size 11. They make my feet look smaller. I am very happy with these shoes. I recommend them to anyone who wants look and comfort.

Style, trim look with great support- I can live in athletic shoes; however, sometimes a dressier shoe is needed. This is a shoe one can wear with socks or hose, it has terrific high arch support and I love wearing it all day. It can be my dressier shoe option without sacrificing comfort, support and warmth.

Great shoe- I have owned at least 6 pairs of these shoes, each lasting about 5 years, and will keep ordering more. They are the best travel shoes I've ever had.

Amazing arch support - I love these shoes! I have severe plantar fasciitis and have been in a cast for 2 months, got these shoes for their arch support and they are just great for walking---first shoes I have been able to wear for a few months!!! And the black ones are dressier than sneaker!
