For a walking shoe, Mephisto is THE BEST! This is my second pair, the comfort is like no other and absolutely worth the price. In stores I tried many other highly recommended less expensive shoes, but none felt right. When I tried these I knew immediately they were the shoes for me. Zappos is a pleasure to deal with either on the net or by phone if you have a particular question. Prompt, efficient, helpful, and they have a very generous return policy.

I love Mephisto shoes. Very satisfied.

Rush is a great shoe I have many Mephistos. I loved the Holi - Mephistos are great! Alittle expensive but worth the price. I loved the Holiday and the City Walker which I bought in Provence, France. If anyone has it let me know 8 and one half{cannot get this typing right} I walk a lot and they cured my Planter Faciitis.

The most comfortable shoe--ever - I was working on a film crew in NYC in 1988 and saw quite a few guys were wearing Mephistos. I had never heard of them and when I asked, they said, 'these are the most comfortable shoes you'll ever wear and after 18+ hours on your feet, you'll never want to wear anything else.' They were right and I've been wearing Mephisto Match and more recently Rush (since they come in narrow width) ever since!

Perfect shoe - I am always looking for the perfect comfort shoe. Little did I know I had already found it. Bought the predecessor to the Rush nine years ago in multi-color nubuck. I call it my airport shoe. They still look as good as when I bought them. So I decided to buy another pair in black leather to be a little more dressy. I go to Washington DC every year to a conference with several men who love to WALK. Not stroll! Wore the new black ones this time with no break-in and they were wonderful. Not soft--too heavy--but wonderful. And Zappos is wonderful, too. What service.

I'm in heaven - These shoes are perfect, just what I'd hoped for in a walking shoe.

Probably a great shoe.... I think this is going to be a great shoe. I got it for a European walking holiday. So far it is incredibly comfortable, although it is a heavier shoe than I'm used to. I think I will adjust though. I have not yet walked on wet surfaces though, and I'm hoping that there is sufficient traction. I can having -- and wearing -- this shoe for a long time!

Mephesto Rush - The best walking shoe ever made!! I couldn't walk until I found this shoe because of spine and arch problems. Now I am walking better than ever before I even had the spine and arch problem. I can also walk barefoot, arch has been restored with this shoe.

Mephisto Rush Shoe Review - This is my 4th pair of these shoes. They are WONDERFUL. They fit my feet perfectly and have a terrific arch support that I cannot find in any other shoe. I think they are very expensive but they are the only shoe that I found you can put on the first time and it feels like it was made for your feet. You don't have to "break it in".

Well worth the money! I hesitated to buy Mephistos--cost more than a microwave! What could be so special about a pair of shoes? But I'm very, very pleased with them. I have Morton's neuroma (wickedly painful little toe sizzling/cramping) and get lower back pain when standing or walking for a couple of hours. No problems at all with Mephistos! None. They managed San Francisco sightseeing new out of the box. A shopping trip no longer tires me out. I wear my Mephistos all the time now and never feel like I have to get them off as soon as I get home. I keep them on. Great decision...even though they are the kind of ugly shoes I once swore I'd never be caught dead in. Excellent shoes, though.

Buy these a half size larger than normal. The Rush was my first Mephisto, and I'm getting ready to order another pair. If you are fitted for these shoes in a Mephisto store, you will be fitted with a half size larger than you normally wear. They want you to start out with a roomy shoe when you are walking, and the ties will allow you to hold the shoes on your feet. I have big wide feet, and these have been a dream walking. It took me a couple of days to break them in and get the feeling that they were fitting like a glove instead of fitting a little large, but after that I could walk five miles over bumpy streets and hilly hard-rock terrain without feeling anything but the greatest comfort. Warning: they actually do feel true to size when you first put them on, but you should get the slightly larger size anyway. Also: they have a nice roomy toe box unlike some of the dressier Mephisto styles.

Wonderful, Comfortable - These shoes are wonderful. I have wasted a lot of money in my quest for comfortable shoes because I have very bad feet--neuropathy and diabetes. Not since I was a child have I had shoes that felt as good on my feet. With a "good" pair of socks, these shoes cause me to notice how comforting they feel on my feet. I have 3 pairs. I wish Mephisto made more Stules in the narrow shoe. You will not be sorry you spent the money on these shoes. Wear them for several days before you make up your mind--they gradually hug your feet like no other.

Magnificent Mephisto - This is my third pair of Mephisto Rush shoes. When my last pair started looking bad I didn't even have to think about it, I just ran right to Zappos and ordered a brand new pair. Yes they cost a lot of $$$ but the great payback is super comfy feet in great looking shoes!

The Most Comfortable Shoes I've Ever Worn - These Rush shoes are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. They look great and feel even better. If I had the money, I would buy one of each color.

I have had 3 surgeries on my foot, consequently have a lot of scar tissue that make my feet very tender. I work as a cake decorator therefore on my feet constantly. These shoes have been wonderful for my feet. No tired feet. I have had 2 other Mephisto Rush shoes, along with 4 sandles. Best $$$ I have spent!

Good for bad feet - I have hard to fit feet, painful heels, fallen arches. These are the only shoes I can wear that don't hurt. Also, I don't get tired walking in these. Great shoes. Wish I could find something this comfortable in a dress shoe in my size.

Mephisto Rush - Very comfortable shoes. I stand and walk on marble museum floors during the day. I've experimented with many brands of shoes, but these shoes provide the most comfort and cushion for my arches, ball of foot, and heel.

A great all around shoe - These are very comfortable casual shoes. I walk very long distances in town and these shoes have the strength and support for city walking. I would highly recommend them.

My feet love them. I'm a hairdresser and on my feet all day everyday and I had been trying everything to help my back, legs etc...nothing including the sandals helped resolve my problems like Mephisto. I love them! Will wear nothing else.

I Love My Mephisto Shoes - My first two pairs of Mephisto shoes were purchased 10 years ago and I still have them. I have sent them to a Mephisto site to have them resoled and they always come back looking like a new pair. To date I have not owned any shoes that have given me comfort as Mephisto shoes. The workmanship of the shoes, comfort cannot be beat.

Clunky But Comfy - This isn't the most elegant-looking shoe I own but it is very comfortable and required no breaking in to reach that point. I bought it and took off for Southeast Asia a week later. It also stood up well to mud, dust, rain, and other weather-related assaults. I did have to return the original size I ordered (my usual 9) and get a half size larger. The 9 felt too tight in the toe box. The extra half size worked fine.

comfort plus!!! This shoe is extremely comfortable. It has a larger than normal toe box. can be worn for hours on end for all activities.

Extremely comfortable and as complimentary as a sport shoe gets

I bought my Mephisto Rush shoes about four years ago. I have worn them more than any other shoes I own. Not only are they the most comfortable shoes that I have ever had on my feet, they are also the most durable by far. After all these four years of hard wear, these shoes look new!!! Unbelieveable!!!

Great shoe - The Mephisto Rush is comfortable and attractive. I would recommend this shoe for people needing cusion for their back.
