I really like these sandals, they are Birkenstocks so they form to your feet. The style took me some getting used to. I was a reef sandal person for a long time but wanted to up the style. Overall they are comfortable for walking short distances (meaning not a whole day of walking in NYC but a half day is ok). They look nice, the titanium color goes with most everything, it has a bit of a green tinge to it. They hold up well, they can be dressed up or down.

Cute and comfy! They go with everything. They take a few days to break in, or at least they did for me.

I love these shoes. Back in the '90s I decided that I wasn't ever going to wear Birkenstocks again...I guess one can always change their minds though. These are cute and soon to be comfortable after I wear them a few more times.

Love these shoes. Have about 20 pairs. Feet swell a lot and this style is good for that. Have flat feet and the arch support is great. Try them. You will be hooked on this brand.My daughter is a nurse and she now wears them too.

I'm still trying to get use to the plastic between the toes so I only wear them for short walks. Actually had blisters from them. I have another style of Birkenstocks and had no problems with them. So still trying them out. Do like the way they look though.

Easy care Birko-Flor upper in a classic thong silhouette is simply the perfect fit for me. The color and design of these shoes is so elegant that I can easily wear them on evening hangouts as well.

I wear a size 7 and I ordered down to a 37, which is supposed to be 6-6.5, because the Papillio Gizeh in a 37 was too big but I read that the sizing is bigger compared to regular Birkenstock. That was wrong, because the 37 is still too big! So, I am now trying a 36 for my size 7 feet. The hard plastic between the toe is annoying... it seems that it is less bothersome with a smaller fit.

Color is true to the picture. I ordered my usual shoe size, and they are a perfect fit. They take some time to break in, but are still very supportive from the start. I'm looking forward to walking all over Italy in them!

Love the look of these! I normally wear a 7.5 shoe and I got these in 38. I have very flat feet and the ridge near the midfoot takes some getting used to. Overall, great shoe.

Shinier than expected. I like the dressier look. The plastic part does give me a blister only on my left foot, it's a small price to pay for fashion. I'm hoping they'll continue to break in.

I love Zappos because it only takes a few days to get my shoes from start to finish! This is the first pair of Birkenstocks (Gizeh) that I own. I usually take size 7.5 to 8 medium and I bought size 38 regular and the size is perfect for me. I like the adjustable strap so that you can make the fit more perfect for your foot! The color of Insignia Blue matches with everything I own, and the shimmer pearlized effect is really pretty. My husband says they look like Egyptian sandals and they really make my feet look feminine. I have Morton's Neuroma in my right foot for about 10 years, and wear custom orthotics in some of my closed toed shoes. These sandals are the best because they have a raised toe bar underneath your toes so that it helps the neuroma. I was not a "flip flop" girl so it took time to get used to the hard plastic piece in-between the first two toes. I started wearing them in the house for about 15 minutes and then worked up to 15 more minute increments until I felt I could wear them outside doing errands. It took about a month wearing them every day to get used to them. I now can say that I can wear them for about 6 hours a day. One piece of advice is to "push through the pain" and they will eventually fit your feet like gloves! I now want to buy another pair in the oiled brown leather to match with my other outfits. The look isn't my styles, however the comfort makes me overlook that! I'm a mom to 2 little boys, and comfort is the only option while chasing my little monkeys! The strap gets a little warm on my feet in the heat of the Texas summer, but I didn't want to spend the extra for the leather straps. Highly recommend for daily life!!!

The Euro to US sizing on this shoe is WAY off on Zappos. Birkenstock stamps the US sizes into the insole of the shoe--they put size 40 as US 11--Zappos puts it as 9-9.5. I sent back two sizes before going to a real shoe store to try them on to find the correct size. I ended up buying them there instead of on Zappos because of this.

I like these shoes now that I have broken them in. I had a real problem with the plastic piece that goes between the toes, I had to finally buy a gel pad made specifically for the piece that goes between the toes. I sent a complaint to Birkenstock but no reply. Taking the shoes to Italy this week and plan to tour Rome and Florence in them.

Normally wear a size 7, but the 7-7.5 were way too big. The 6-6.5 fits well, but I have kind of long toes and they sometimes hit the front lip of the shoe. Great arch support, lightweight, and you don't have to work hard to keep them on your feet when walking.

I have two pairs of in this style, but those are leather. I had hoped the patent would be a good fit, but they were too tight across my instep. As they are patent I know they will not "give" so I am returning them. That is why I gave them a 4 overall score.

After trying and rejecting many other sandals from other brands I went back to good old Birkenstocks. I appreciate the new designs and colors. The sole of this sandal will conform to your feet after wearing it for several days, making the footbed perfect for your feet. The middle strap was never an issue and was comfortable from day one.

Liked the shoe, but the toe piece hurt too much to wear for any length of time. Read the reviews and tried to break it in, but had too much pain. Great Arch support. I will try a shoe that is not a thong.

My first pair of Birkenstocks was more uncomfortable than I imagined. If I hadn't read up on the "break in" period, I would have sent them back. The plastic piece that goes between your toes was pretty stiff and uncomfortable for the first week of wear. After I actually wore the shoe in, which took about 2 weeks, they felt great. They're now my go-to sandal for when I leave the house. I like that they are casual enough to wear with shorts, but because of the silver, can pass off as a more put-together look when worn with a sundress.

These shoes make my feet look super wide and I will be returning them. I have a broad foot (but bony) and wear an 8.5 or 9. Following the advice of previous reviews, I ordered size 38 (black patent). They are just a tiny bit too short as one of my toes hits the front ridge of the shoe. I need a size 39. The footbed feels very comfortable - almost like a massage. I think I will try a different style.

I got the patent black, and love the look - it gives these classic sandals a modern twist! I originally sized down based on the other reviews, but needed to return them and get them in my regular size 9 (40). I have a wide foot so maybe that's why sizing down didn't work for me. It feels uncomfortable when you first wear them, and there is definitely a "break in" period, but after it conforms to your foot it is great!

Great looking sandal and good support. Unfortunately, it's just not quite wide enough for my EE feet - the outer edge of the footbed digs into the side of my foot.

I bought these shoes hoping they would help prevent lower back pain. They are very cute for Birkenstocks, but it is taking forever for me to break them in. I want them to work so badly, but they are not quite as comfortable as I would like yet. I'm going to keep wearing them, and I hope they get comfortable and help my back, too. I also bought a size down - I usually wear a 9 but an 8 fits well. Loved ordering from Zappos! Great customer service and promptness.

My absolute favorite shoe is the Birkenstock Arizona soft bed. However, there are times when needs a slight more elegant casual sandal - doing business in Austin TX or even Clearwater FL requires slightly upscale comfort, even for a crazy cat lady artist / writer of a certain age. This fits the bill. Not quite as perfectly comfortable for my feet as the Arizona, but damn close.

I just purchased these a couple of weeks ago. At first, they were a little uncomfortable, but after breaking them in, each time I wear them they feel better. I read online how to break them in so I understood. I am starting to love them now.
