These are not your typical Birkenstocks! They are very feminine and stylish with the support you expect from a Birkenstock. Can't wait for spring to show them off!

Cute, but is lacking in quality (the upper straps). Comfortable, although my "rogue toe" (long second toe on left foot) may start to complain after a while. I'm a solid 8 medium, and ordered the 37. I picked the silver ones -- maybe I will like them better when I self-tan my sun-deprived feet (would look lovely on darker skinned feet!). I almost sent them back, but I haven't had a pair of Birks in a long time, so I will keep them for nostalgic sake. My boyfriend hasn't seen them, and I know he will say "yuck", but I don't care.

I got these in silver and love them. They go with everything. I do wish Birkenstock was still doing these in leather and not this cheap whatever it is, but I still really like these and have worn them with all my casual clothes. The Gizehs are really in style this year. I need the orthotic soles of Birks for my feet. Love the arch support in these.

This sandal has the wonderful supportive footbed, which is why I always wear Birkenstocks. My only comment is that the plastic piece between the toes is not comfortable. As well, the white "leather" is a rather cheap looking plastic covered fabric and would that it were leather! But I love the feminine look and much more feminine than most Brkenstocks.

I just got these today. I ordered in the Sangria and Insignia Blue. Both colors are fabulous! Rich and slightly pearlescent, very cool. Unfortunately the toe piece looks huge and wrong on my foot. It covers my 2nd toe completely and half of my big toe, it's just odd. They will be going back. Zappos rocks and have had zero issues with the return.

I love these shoes now that they are broken in, but they did take about 2 weeks to get really comfortable. Be patient! I would buy these all over again.

Finally a pair that fits. The first pair was too small (my regular shoe size is 9.5 and the first pair I ordered was the size 40). But because of the shape of my feet and length of a couple of toes, I needed a 41. Also I had to tighten the strap so my longer toes wouldn't hit the edge. So my message to you is to try different sizes and adjust the cross strap until you get the correct fit. I almost gave up on them...Hope this review helps someone.

I loved birks in high school and had the traditional two strappers. I decided to go back when the flip flops I was continuously wearing just were killing my back. This time I wound up having to get a couple pairs before I found the right size. I like my sandals not to have extra room at the heel or toe so I returned my regular size for one smaller (39 to a 38 - is that a full US size smaller or half? not sure.) These were not comfortable straight out of the box and I did get some blisters on the sides of my small toes - although not even badly enough to not were the shoes. I think because I may be wearing them a little small, the toe arch is not exactly where it should be. They are also a little more narrow than I would like, but Zappos only carries medium. The plastic ring in between my toes also got some taking used to, but again, after just a few days I barely noticed it. So they are not perfect, but they are pretty good. I walk and stand a lot and even though they aren't miracles, they are definitely better than the flip flops I was wearing before. Also, for orthopedic shoes they are pretty versatile and unoffensive / bordering on kinda ok looking. I assume I will own more pairs in the future.

This is a beautiful sandal. Finally! A narrow. The only issue is that I have a longer second toe and it was pressing on the front of the shoe. Great service from Zappos!

I have plantar fasciitis and was recommended Birks. Give it time to break them in (wear just a couple of hours at a time for first week or so) but they are a great alternative to wearing closed shoes with custom orthotics. The style is just a tad dressier too. My only gripe is the strap stretching, I'm afraid to tighten it further for fear of over stretching.

This is a good, well made shoe. I have two. But, the company's judgment in placing a hard piece of plastic as the thong was very poor. I can and will wear this shoe for its other qualities. But the quality is much lower as a result of this decision.

I really wanted to like these. I've seen them on other women and thought they were rather cute. But the cross strap was high and wide, emphasizing my ankles (not my best feature). They just didn't look good. Would recommend if you have thinner ankles. Otherwise, they were very comfortable.

I have super wide feet, but loved these shoes. They were ok but only for short amounts of time the first 4 or 5 times I wore them, and then they really conformed to my feet. They're now super comfortable. The only thing I don't care for is that the toe strap is hard plastic. Once my feet remembered how flip flops fit it was ok, but occasionally walking downhill it's a bit painful. No blisters yet!

I LOVE Birkenstocks but I didn't love the plastic thong/toe post in this pair. I was determined to accomodate my feet to the shoes. So, after a couple weeks of wearing them - my feet are totally fine and back to loving my shoes. So, I still give these shoes a very high rating, just taking off a star for comfort purposes.

These are my all time favorite sandals. They are so comfortable that I always choose them over athletic shoes even for very long walks. I love that they come in so many different colors and also widths because I have narrow feet. I can't say they are the most stylish (my husband hates them), but I don't care because they make my feet so happy! I have three pairs.

This is probably the most attractive Birkenstock style. The silver is very versatile and beautiful (can be dressy or casual). I bought 38 narrow and it fits fine. I do suffer from plantar fasciitis and can say that this is not the best sandal for that condition because one needs more arch support (and cushioning) than this sandal provides. For me, this is a sandal I wear for very brief periods. It does hold to the foot well if you adjust the straps accordingly. It is a stiff sandal (as you Birk wearers already know) so it takes some time to mold to your foot.

I ordered these and a pair of Orthaheels at the same time. I have problems with pain in my right foot from living in flip flops all summer long with no arch support. So I decided to quit being cheap and splurge on sandals with arch support. I normally wear an 8.5, sometimes 9, so I ordered the 39. It is definately way bigger than I had anticipated. I have been using a pair of Superfeet 3/4 long inserts in my shoes and knew from speaking with a salesman in a store that it isn't so much the cushioning, but the arch support and the heel cup that help the most. So I am use to the arch support, heel cup and hard feel from the inserts, but these Berks aren't as comfortable as I expected. I don't know if it is because they are too big or lack of cushioning or both, but they are not as comfy as the Orthaheels that I got. I am debating returning them. If I return them, I'm not sure if I would get a smaller size or just get another pair of Orthaheels. I do like the style though, they are very cute.

They are attractive and true to the picture. They have been a little more challenging than I would like for the breaking-in process. I wound up with a long airport layover and had to do a lot of walking during the layover and by the end, I was in pain. The top strap has cut into the top of my foot on more than one occasion and left a cut mark. I'm hoping this problem goes away as the footbed becomes a little more flexible for moving with me. I have had this exact same shoe/model in the past and it feels like more trouble getting used to it, this time around. I'm hoping the discomfort goes away with time and use. Bottom line, if you get these, plan to break them in slowly and gradually. Don't wear them for long days of standing and pounding the pavement. I gave the comfort a two stars rating because of this issue but I'm hopeful that once they're broken in, they'll become 4 or 5 starts rating for comfort.

These are literally the best sandals I have ever gotten! It's hard to wear them for a while they sorta hurt your feet until they are broken in! I wore these all summer! From working at camps, walking, and hiking! I loved them so much I'm ordering another pair for my trip to Europe! I got them in a size bigger than I usually wear, to have a little more room in them! I'm a huge flip flop person and these have replaced them for life!

This Birkenstock has changed a little bit since the same shoe (different color though) that I purchase a few years ago. The sole is noticeably not as tall as the older version. The bed is more narrow when held sole to sole. They've obviously cut back to save some money. But it's still a good shoe.

These are good sandals. Yes, the plastic piece between the toes hurts a bit to begin with, but your feet acclimate quickly and you do not even notice it. If you are replacing a worn out pair, like I was, your feet barely even register the difference. I must disagree with those who say that Birkenstocks last forever. Mine do not. However, these are the only shoes that I wear and I get about two years out of a pair.

I am first time owner and am very impressed how fashionable these Birkenstocks look! As many of the other reviews, it is annoying that the the thong is made of plastic! Overall the shoes are comfortable and really look great!

Very cute and very comfortable shoes. I was really excited when I found out that some styles come in size 35 (also marked as 4-4.5). However, when I tried them on they felt more like 6-6.5. I'm really disappointed that I have to send them back.

I am abou to order my third pair of silver. I wear them out! I need a full size larger than my shoe size. The plastic toe separator is great. I hardly know it is there and it does not irritate my toes. I usually don't like the look of this type of shoe; however, this is the exception.
