Brooks Beast - Excellent shoe, especially for a heavy person. I weigh 295 pounds and have 2 artificial knees. These shoes provide super support. This is my second pair. The other pair was 2 years old and hardly showed any wear.

Great Shoe- Bought for my 12-year-old son who wears a size 13 4E and has flat feet. He says they're the most comfortable shoes he's had. He wears orthotics inside them with no problem. This particular style was on a list of shoes recommended by his podiatrist.

ER Nurse who loves this shoe - As an ER RN in a level one trauma center I am constantly on the move and having to move quickly on my feet. Either to get a pt off of one the helicopters or to rush a pt to trauma bays, my feet take a pounding. The Beast is one great shoe for someone who has a high activity job. The shoe supports my feet in all aspects and the offering of the dark color works great with a job where you come in contact with all sorts of different things. The air flow for this shoe is great. My feet stay cool and dry no matter how hectic my night gets. I would definitely recommend this shoe for anyone who is on their feet for 12 hour shifts on hard concrete and they are also great for their intended purpose of a running shoe.

Great shoe - In the past two years I've owned 6 pairs of the beast. I am a 230lb 35 year old with flat arches, and have not found another pair of shoes that compares with the Beast.

The only athletic shoe I buy. I weigh over 200 pounds and have had endless problems with the pounding my feet take day after day. This shoe has been the answer to my aching feet. I have 3 pair and will continue to buy them.

Best Shoe - I live by this shoe. Top of the tier. Bought at Zappos because I got the black ones, and local stores didn’t carry these. I ordered at 6pm and still got my shoes by noon the next day. BUY ONE SIZE BIGGER. I wear an 11, but I wear a size 12 in the Beast.

Great shoe - I've got flat, wide feet. These shoes in a 4E are the most comfortable athletic shoes I've ever had. Great support. I'll definitely be buying again.

Beast - This shoe is outstanding. It is the best motion control shoe available.

Grandson loved this shoe - My fifteen year old grandson loves this shoe, the color (black and silver), the length was correct, as well as the width. The name "Beast" is Cool! The style suited this size 15, 15-year old perfectly. I am so happy to have found your website. I just ordered his dress shoes yesterday and the delivery is today! Thank you!

The Beast of all Beasts - This shoe is amazing and felt better then the custom made orthotics that I have in my New Balance.

Great looks, classic performance - I have flat feet, and a large build, I have been using Mizuno Renegades, and Alchemy's. Thought I would try something new. These are outstanding shoes, I'm not sure that they are better than the Mizuno shoes, but they are excellent. They do a superb job of controlling over-pronating. Nicely cushioned. They were a bit stiff on the first few runs but they are breaking in nicely. That is one thing I love about the Mizuno's, they seem perfect from the first run. One thing I must give Brooks credit for on this shoe, is that it looks great. Of these types of motion control shoes, this is really one of the best looking ones. I wish the other companies would work on the styling, colors, and fabrics as much as they do the orthotics. Great shoe.

Good shoe for pronators - I take a women’s 9 or 9-1/2, wide toes & narrow heel. The size 8 Brooks Beast (men's) fits well. Brooks does market a women's Ariel as comparable, but I've seen other reviews that say the Ariel doesn't compensate as well for pronation. Depth of Beast allows insertion of another slim cushion for desired; without an additional (inexpensive, drug-store) layer for me, shoe felt a little high around Achilles.

Brooks Beast - My son wears a 10 1/2 EEEE. Although this shoe is of the same brand as his others, this particular style was much smaller all the way around. I would recommend if you have very wide feet to choose another shoe by Brooks.

Leg pain be gone - This shoe gives great support to my arches and also gives support to my legs.

Great shoe - I have 3 pairs of the 'Beast' in different colors. I wear a 14 D but after the first pair in 14 I realized I needed the 15D. Other then that they are great shoes, wear well and give me no problem with my overpronated feet, including walking or running.

Great shoe for flat footed runners - Great shoes. I've got the double whammy of both flat feet and wide feet and these fit me to a T.

A great shoe for people who have flat feet - Before I got these shoes my legs would be so sore after running 3-4 miles that I would be limping the next day. Within two weeks, my shin splints have gone away, and my tendonitis is almost completely gone. In those two weeks I’ve ran 20 miles, and have never felt better. In the past I’ve had professional orthotics and feel these do just as good of a job and are much more comfortable. A lot of these reviews I noticed were from people who said they were larger and heavy set. I'm 5'10, and 165lbs, and I feel these are the best running shoes I’ve had.

Awesome shoe! This is THE BEST shoe I've ever purchased for walking/running/treadmill use. Great support, awesome comfort, excellent grip. Initially felt a little clunky on my feet, but what a difference it made for me with the pain I used to suffer doing 3 miles a day on the treadmill. No pain anymore. My Plantar Fasciitis is improving dramatically since wearing this shoe. Highly recommended to anyone with this problem or anyone who has low/no arches (flat feet). Get this shoe BEFORE you have a problem or before you shell out a bundle for custom orthodics.

Great Shoe - The Brooks Beast is the shoe for me. I am a large person and the shoe provides me with support and comfort at a reasonable price. Zappos was right on with their shipping date.

The Best - I sell shoes in Washington, and I get more doctor recommendations for this shoe than anything else. I have been wearing Brooks for over two years now, and have never been as satisfied with anything else. Comfort is perfect, support is perfect, style is looking nicer these days. If you are a mild to severe over pronator, or are looking for a great blend of cushion and support, you will love these. I work in them all day and nothing else compares.

Excellent Support! Great Shoe - I've had these shoes for about 3 1/2 months and I alternate them with the Addiction 6 pair. Both pair are very comfortable walking and running shoe. This will be the brand I continue to purchase in the future!!

Great shoes - Finally a great pair of running shoes

BEST SHOE EVER - This is my second pair of Brook's Beast I've bought from Zappos and I love them as much or yes even more than my first pair. A great shoe for all the reasons that everyone else gives plus they lasted me 4 years and I walk in all over New York City. The only thing I might say somewhat negatively is that I sent back this pair for the next width up, my feet may have either widened or they are just making shoes narrower, anyway I love my purchase and Zappos were as nice and efficient as can be. I'll never buy from anyone else and I'll keep getting the Beast.

Great Shoe - My second pair and I am still very impressed with the Beast. A nice and roomy shoe, plus the looks have improved (looks in a running shoe?).
