Perfect shape for my foot - not too curved - Struggling with splay foot, I have found this to be a really good shoe that fits well while providing the support I need for my feet. My orthotics do work with these shoes though, for power walking, cutting the back half of the shoe liner allows the orthotic and foot to sit better inside the shoe. Have been pleased enough to buy 4 pairs.

Beast:: good for big ppl w pronation - I first tried this shoe on at a local running store to make sure it fit; after my first pair became worn I bought the second pair here. I hope to order again from Zappos. I recommend that for running shoes you buy locally first and then use Zappos for the second pair. Buy running shoes a bit bigger/wider than normal.

Great shoe. I have nearly flat feet and have been battling foot pain for about 2 years. I have always worn NB shoes with my custom orthotics. This is my first pair of Brooks and I love them. The shoe is very stable and has great cushioning.

Flat feet - I have about the flattest feet imaginable. Brooks Beast with insoles were the most comfortable running shoe I've found, and made it possible for me to get on a regular running program. They're even better now that I have some M.D. prescribed insoles to replace the originals. I believe I could run a marathon now without my feet hurting.

WOW - Wore NB my entire life but never again after wearing the Beast. Fastest training times ever along with a comfortable springy feel. By far the best shoe on the market for larger runners that need support and cushioning. Could be more eye-appealing.

The beast - My husband has severe foot problems and these shoes have been the most comfortable he has found. He actually will be having an ankle fusion in November. He will continue to buy this shoe!

Put the Beast on your feet - These are very comfortable, I have purchased others of this model. They are made for people that are heavy and last a long time. I'll buy more when these wear out.

A Beast of a Beast - This is the only shoe that can take my abuse as a larger person so I get 1 to 2 new pairs every year. It's the only shoe I get; it's that good!

Wonderfull shoes - The Beasts are very comfortable shoes good for people who need extra support. Worth the money. My shopping experience was very good; I was surprised how fast the shoes were delivered.

Recommended by Foot Doctor - I have heel spurs according to my foot doctor. He recommended a year ago that I wear these shoes everyday. They make a big difference and significantly reduce the pain.

Beast Rocks!! This is my first pair of Brooks shoes and I've loved them so far. A little pricey, but it's been worth it. I'm a 200 pounder with lower back injuries, but still manage to put 10-20 miles on the road during a week. The Beast provides the comfort and support I need better than any other shoe I've tried (including NB, Saucony).

Brooks Beast for life - My feet have always plagued me when trying to run. I experienced discomfort with tight toe boxes and constantly got blisters. Turns out Nike Shox are just for looks if you have wide feet. I looked these up on Runner's World under flat-footed over pronators. Many people favored them so I went to a specialty shop in town (sorry Zappos, but you've got my business next time). These were amazing, but cost more there, convenience fee plus supporting local economy, so I bought them and it's been a pleasure ever since.

Great shoe for lots of time on your feet - Running, walking, or just standing, this shoe is very comfortable.

Repeat customer - These are the only walking shoe my husband has worn for years, won't let me substitute!

The most comfortable shoes I own. These Brooks Beast are the most comfortable shoes I own. Mostly, I had been buying New Balance because they always fit so well. I didn't think NB could be beat for comfort, but I was wrong. They also look good.

Brooks Beast - Extremely comfortable, great cushioning support throughout the entire shoe. Excellent arch support to help my planter fasciitis problem I have from wearing shoes that did not support me like the Beast does.

Best Shoe Ever - Having just received my 6th pair of shoes from Zappos.com, I must say the Brooks Beast is the most comfortable shoe I have worn in the last 8 years. Being a diabetic for 33 years, my feet are very sensitive to shoes. I have orthodics to place in my shoes BUT when the Beast arrived I tried them without the ortho inserts. 2 days later I had still not put them in and no pain in the foot! Being afraid Brooks my discontinue them, I will be ordering 2 or 3 more pair for future wear.

Great fit for a boy with size 14 feet (and he's 12!) Good grief! it's hard to find the right shoe for a larger foot, especially when the foot (or feet) in question need good support for over-pronation. These seemed to do the trick. My son liked the style (he's picky about color) and felt they were comfortable. I suppose the only cons are the fact that they seemed to run a tad short and they don't make 1/2 sizes--after size 13-1/2 it goes 14, 15. Also, the laces seemed way too short for the shoe size. While I don't want him tripping, it would seem that a larger shoe would come with an appropriate length. I was able to swap them out for a longer pair, thankfully.

Great for flat feet - I mostly walk in these shoes... 5-10 miles a day. Since I switched to this shoe from New Balance I have had fewer back and shoulder aches following long walks. Go at least a half size larger than what you would normally wear.

Beast or Nothing - I love this shoe. I am a school teacher and stand up most of the day. My legs and feet feel so much better with when I wear them. I ordered the shoe on Sat. afternoon. On Monday the box was at my door and shipping was free! I put the shoe on and it felt like a pair of old slippers. I either wear the Brooks Beast or I wear nothing at all.

Brooks running shoe - Great shoe. 1st time I have owned a pair of Brooks Beast. They were true to size, and they are extremely comfortable and supportive. I will definitely get another pair.

Love these shoes! I am a big man, near 295 lbs. They are the most comfortable shoes I have worn in a long time.
