Like the Beast - I have problem with heel spurs. I have worn Brooks "The Beast" with Lynco L405 orthotics for nearly a year and my heel pain has been reduced significantly. These shoes also retain their shpe very well.

Very comfortable shoe for the bigger guy. Not as heavy as I was led to believe, looks great, does not stand out as an eyesore like some. The material breathes very well.

Oh you beast! I'm really pleased with these shoes. I am a big guy (6'1" and 200lbs) and severely overpronate. I tried various shoes from Asics and Mizuno that are designed for motion control and stability, but have found the Beast to be the most comfortable, stable, and durable (when used in conjunction with my custom orthotics). I only run about 5 miles a week, but this seems to be one of the few running shoes out there that lets me do so without getting knee or ankle pain. If you're a big guy that's had a hard time finding a comfortable running shoe - give this one a try.

Helped me - I jog about 20 miles per week on concrete roads and I weigh about 185 and am 6'. These shoes are the reason I have been able to jog. With other shoes I had terrible ankle pain and discovered I over pronate. I purchased these and the problem was solved. I am on my third pair and given the cost I wish I could get more miles out of each pair but the soles seem to wear down rather quickly and once that happens my ankle pain begins to return. I'm getting about 4 months out of them tops. I wish they offered more color choices. I have somewhat flat feet and I should state that good running shoes are a real pain to find. Everybody has different feet so be careful when buying based on reviews. If you can find a brick and mortar store with a knowledgeable staff to help find the right shoe for your feet then go there first....and then buy future replacements from Zappos.

Best Comfort Shoe Ever!!! I bought these shoes for my husband and he says they are absolutely the most comfortable shoe he has ever run in. They have great arch support and contour to your foot! HE said it is almost like running on pillows for him!!!

Brooks Beast - I have flat feet and have had a very difficult time finding good shoes. The Beast is comfortable, durable, and gives me great support. I won't buy any other running shoes!

Great shoes - This is my husband's second pair of this shoe. He wore the first ones out because he wears them all the time. He has very wide feet and problems with his feet. This shoe has helped his foot pain better than any other.

I have an arthritic knee and I found the Beast the best shoe I have worn. This shoe has allowed me to get back to my normal workout on the treadmill and gives excellent arch support and does an excellent job of absorbing shock.

Great comfort and motion control/stability and cushioning for the larger runner. Very comfortable.

A great shoe! This is the 3rd pair of Brook's Beast shoes I've had, and I can't find anything that is a better fit for me. I tried the women's shoes, and it just doesn't have the support that the men's shoe has. I have a lot of problems with my feet, and this is the only shoe that I've tried that allows me to go walking 4 or 5 times a week for 3 to 4 miles. The only complaints that I have are that the shoe could have a little more arch support, and some more color selections would be great.

Fantastic! Definitely, without question, the best shoes I have worn in probably 40 years. The support is fantastic and the comfort is wonderful. Last week, I walked (and sometimes ran) all over both Disneyland and California Adventure without any pain whatsoever at the end of those days. What a difference!

Great shoes - I was suffering from bone spurs on my heel and found that better stretching techniques and these shoes are just what I needed before my daily runs. These are great shoes, I took the advice from other reviews and ordered a half size larger and the shoes fit perfectly.

Amazing shoe! I have had Brooks Beast shoe for two weeks now and they are simply amazing. Fit me like a glove. I bought them, took them home and I am running faster and longer now (and with no knee/hip joint pain!). Brooks owns.

Worth every penny! If you're considering buying these shoes, you're obviously a serious runner/jogger. Unlike most people, I over pronate and I have very low arches. Jogging was a painful experience until I purchased these shoes. It was a miracle. The first time I put them on, I can feel the extra cushioning. While jogging, they felt great. I was able to run longer and faster. But that's not the best part. After a long 5-10 mile jog, my foot would be sore, my knees would ache and I may get a blister or two. That's no longer the case with these shoes. I'm on my 3rd pair and I'm never turning. They are a bit more expensive than your typical running shoes, but these aren't your typical shoes so they're worth every penny. They are my secret weapon for the upcoming Long Beach Marathon.

Brooks "Beast" The "Beast" is the only shoe I have found that gives both stability and good arch support in a wide (4E) athletic shoe. A very comfortable shoe.

Flat foot perfection - I walk a few miles every day and have flat feet. These shoes feel great and keep me from feeling the aches and pains I usually feel toward the end of long walks. I heeded previous reviews and ordered a ½ size bigger...I wish I would have gotten a full size over my measured foot length as my toes start to cramp a little as my feet swell on a walk.

Beast is the Best Ever - About 3 years ago, I injured my big toe hiking; something of inflammation like tendonitis, to this day I never fully recovered. I have had professionally designed orthotics made by my doctor to help with this problem. Until I discovered Brooks brand no gym or walking shoe was truly comfortable. I have tried all the top brands: Nike, Ecco, New Balance, Puma, etc. After wearing the "Beast", I have found what I have been searching for. A remarkable shoe that is comfortable and supportive. I use for walking and gym workouts. It is stylish also. Love them!

The Beast Rocks - I am very happy with the performance of the Beast. The sneakers are comfortable. The sneakers tend to run small so I recommend getting a larger size. The width is perfect.

Brooks Beast - This shoe is great because it offers a lot of support and stability. Even being a big runner (200 pounds +) it has no problem providing support, cushioning and stability.

Still my favorite - This continues to be an outstanding shoe. Nothing more can be said.

Great support if you are overweight and active - I have been wearing this model shoe for many years. It is a great support shoe. I wear it with custom orthotics and it has cured my heel pain. When the shoes get muddy, I wash them in my washer and air dry. They hold up very well to this cleaning.

The Best - This is my third pair of Brooks Beast. I use them for every day kick arounds, plus long walks. I have never had a more comfortable shoe bar none. I have a high arch, no problems. Well worth the money. Zappos is the BEST. No hassles buying or returning shoes. I highly recommend ZAPPOS.

Perfect if you have tendonitis - I have tendonitis in both of my Achilles tendons mostly from being too active after an injury and within a year I was unable to swim, bike or run more than a tenth of what I could do normally. No shoe but the beast has allowed me to become athletic again. It is not perfect and I am not at full capacity but it is better than anything I have tried. Oh and it is very breathable...can feel the wind in your feet, kind of an odd feeling actually.

Great Shoes - I have a problem with my foot and my Doctor recommended these. They are very comfortable and if you have wide feet like mine (E), then this is a great shoe. I've found Brooks to be great shoes overall and I seek them out whenever possible. The last pair I had wore well. They are light and well ventilated, so they are easy to wear all day.

A Beast About Comfort! This shoe beats out all the rest!
