I'm buying another pair - I ran in 2 half marathons and a marathon in these shoes. After a few hundred miles of running, they still feel good. It's just time for a new pair.

I think this is a great sneaker... Looks and comfort are both top of the line.

Have Flat Feet? This shoe is for you. I purchased a pair of these and a pair of ASICS Gel-Evolution 3. I have had these shoes for about two weeks. There is plenty of cushion and arch support. The next test will be how long they last.

Worth the price - These were recommended to me by my podiatrist for my plantar fasciitis. The give plenty of stabilization and support. I replaced the insole with one from my doctor that gave more arch support.

Brooks Beast - I read through the overpronation information on your site and then looked at recommended shoes for my husband who wears a size 15. He never imagined a shoe could be this comfortable! He loves them! I appreciate SO much the suggested types of shoes for different foot problems. Thank YOU!

Great Shoe - This is probably the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn. My first time out on the pavement (vs. TM) I noticed that it gave me that extra bounce and comfort that I didn't get from my 2 new balances. Size wise I wear a 9 4E with new balance (or 9-9.5 with dress shoes/sandals), with the beast the 8.5 4E was the perfect fit.

Great Sturdy Shoe for Overpronators - I'm on my second pair of Brooks running shoes, both of which have been Beasts (model, not sobriquet). They may run a bit narrow; I've had to return normal width for the next size up on both occasions. They keep for months of semi-daily runs of three to five miles of track or light sidewalk running. Highly recommended.

Very supportive, comfortable. Stopped my legs and feet from aching all the time. I'd buy this shoe again in a heart beat.

Brooks Beast - I am 6 feet 8 inches tall. I have herniated discs in my back and numerous foot and ankle issues. These shoes are the ultimate for any foot issues. Even if your health is good these shoes will allow you to be own you feet all day and no pain. I’ve turned Cats on to them that are on the paws all day and Felix said all good. Zappos shoes and service is the BEST!! I placed an order on late Saturday afternoon for the Brooks Beast and they arrived on Monday. The shoes are very comfortable and are just what I wanted. I could not buy a Brooks shoes locally in the size and the colors that I was (I am 60 but didn't want to buy a shoe that made me look like I was 60) so I received a great looking shoe in a timely manner and everyone was the best!! Zappos is great company and reading all the reviews on line surely did help with my decision. I will be ordering many more shoes in the future!! Abe in Durham NC

Best shoe ever - I buy only quality shoes because I have flat feet. This is my favorite all time shoe!!

The "Beast" - I have used this style of shoe for more than five years - ran a marathon, many 5K, and more runs than I can count. Want a stable shoe built for big men (I’m 6'3" and 200 lbs)… look no further. If it can stand my running, it can stand anything.

I like the wider toe box of Brooks, but miss the cushioning of Asics.

The Beast is a BEAUTY - As someone with very flat and pronating feet, the Brooks Beast is a blessing. I have forsworn shoes in favor of the Beast since my foot doctor recommended them five years ago. I wear nothing else.

Beast is the Best - I ordered this shoe for my teenage son. He is tall, has a wide foot, and pronates. He wears a lot of Merrell shoes and once he put this one on, he has only worn this. He uses it for jogging and daily wear. The Beast supports his foot and ankle with the pronation problem. He says that they are sooo comfortable.

Best Shoes - I have been wearing these shoes for years. I have several pairs. When my feet get sore from other shoes, I wear these.

Love the shoe - Best motion control shoe I have ever worn.

Best shoe avail for motion control - Big guys with flat feet look no further. I’m a mixed martial artist and stand at around 240lbs. no other shoe fit right, felt right, and flat out worked for over pronation like these. I will never buy another running shoe, period. And I have gotten well more than the advertised 450 miles out of every pair I’ve ever owned. The pair I replaced today had at least 1000.

Excellent - Best shoe out there for flat feet... the only one I buy!

An Expensive Pair of Shoes Worth the Price - The Beast, while expensive and not very flatteringly styled in the blue, was the right shoe for an individual like me that wants to exercise but struggles with foot pain. As a whole, the shoe is designed to manage a number of issues that can emerge for people with foot problems. The arch support of the shoes is created for people with flat feet or sunken arches. The shoe is also designed to control pronation as it keeps the foot from rolling and forces motion stability. Finally, the shoe is made to be worn by people with larger frames (i.e. those of us who are bigger). While skeptical about the shoes ability to accomplish all of these purposes, I have been very impressed by this Brooks' product. The arch support is very good as it extends well to the middle of the foot rather than just the very edge of the arch. My feet, legs and knees feel better because there is less strain on them from inappropriate motion. In addition, I have less shin problems which may be from not straining to position my feet correctly so as compensate for my bad arches. I have used these shoes predominantly on a treadmill which seems to be harder on the body but will look forward to trying them outside when the weather warms up and I don't have to worry about ice. Unfortunately, I no longer have any more excuses for not exercising because I have a pair of shoes that will let me do so comfortably. And for someone who is stingy, as my wife will attest, these shoes are worth the money and deliver as promised.

GREAT SHOES! These are the second pair of Beast that I've owned. They are very comfortable and surprisingly supportive for my flat, narrow foot. Highly recommended for anyone with a pronation issue.

Living with the Beast! This is the 3rd pair of Beast I've owned. My local running shoe store ran out of them and I thought they were out of production but found them at Zappos. The fit, comfort, support and durability are second to none. I even found my adult son buys the same shoe without our ever having discussed it. I've tried others but none suit my needs as well as the Beast! RC

Hard to Beat a Beast - First the caveat: this shoe has a fairly hard strike so if you're looking for a soft landing (like the Fed) this may not be the shoe for you. This is a question of style, not quality. Personally I find that the build quality of Brooks shoes across their line is tops in the market (and in 35 years of running I've been through pretty much everyone). That being said I have no difficulty putting 400 miles on this shoe (at 165 lbs). They last and last. Fit is excellent and the motion of the shoe from strike (I'm a mid-foot striker) to toe-off feels near perfect to me.

Beast puts me back in action!!! This sneaker is exactly what you would expect from a stability plus running shoe. After I wore out my Nike Air Kantara I took a break from running. This year I got back in and went to the local runner shop. I am a wide and have a big instep, however, never wore a wide sneaker. They put me into a 2EE Asic stability shoe. It was much lighter and softer then the Kantara so I was very excited. Well after I broke them in with a few basic runs the pain started. The soreness was on the sides of both my shins. Not sure if it was shin splints or what, but it was terrible. It finally reached a point where I had to stop for two months and let all heel. My chiro said I should purchase orthotics, but I was not sold. All I wanted was my heavy, sturdy Kantara back. The research ultimately culminated with the purchase of the Beast and I will never go back. They are sturdy and firm yet still more cushioned then the Kantara. They are everything that I was looking for and prevent the roll that was causing all my problems in the Asics. I highly recommend this shoe. Sure it is a little heavier, that’s what it is supposed to be for it to do its job. Brooks have found themselves a loyal customer.

tried them all - I have run over 40000 miles since 1980. I've tried every shoe at every price. I will wear nothing but Brooks Beast. Can't say much more than that.
