Classic Dress with Comfort - Very comfortable shoe with classic look. Good grip and bounce for walking.

Good Shoe--Good Looks - Comfortable shoe with good looks. Requires no break-in time. Did run a little wide.

Low cost dress shoe - This was a good deal for an inexpensive dress shoe. The pluses, they look like a good dress shoe, they seem not to scuff too much, and they weren't nearly as expensive as most dress shoes I was looking at. The minuses, the tongue was a little tight and had to be broken in. The wide I ordered was still a little snug. They are slightly heavy and they don't shine very well. Over all I would buy them again especially at the price but my favorite shoe like this is Foot- Joy $300 vs $70 isn’t a contest though.

Pleased - My Deer Stags came just like everyone else said, a little too big, but I think that they just ran bigger in the width. I bought the size 11 medium width and just wish that they were a little narrower. Other than that I love them. Had to wear band aids on one foot at the ankle till they broke in.

Dress work shoes - My only complaint is that my ankles on the outer side of the shoe get sore a bit as they break in. I found that while they are padded, it seems to dig in a bit. It may be the way my foot is. Overall I like the shoe. I have a pair of Bostonian wingtips that I've re-soled many times over the years and there is no comparison. The soles on these shoes are excellent. Very comfortable. They look great and hold a shine. Expect a break in period and then you are good to go.

Great shoe, great service - I bought these in a wide size for my husband who has a wide foot. He says these shoes are very comfortable and perfect width for his foot. Only complaint was that they rub a little on the top part (up around the ankle area). After some breaking in, they'll be fine. I couldn't believe the service from Zappos...ordered on Saturday, received on Tuesday. Unbelievable! Thanks!

This shoe feels very comfortable. I work 6 to 8 hours on my feet and my feet feel good at the end of the day. The only draw back is the interior cloth. After about 2 months of wear, the cloth on the interior started to come apart and seperate from the shoe. This in turn caused blisters on my heels. I will not recommend this shoe for long everyday wear.

A heavy hitter - The shoe is very comfortable, but it is heavy. It didn't need any break-in time and I covered most of Atlanta's airport in them and they were great. Zappos is a awesome shoe company and they have the best selection of shoes for the big man, size 15. Thanks Zappos.

Good looking shoes, just not very durable. I usually will have to buy a pair once every year. They always seem to break right where heel meets the sole underneath. Oh well, it's been about a year now so I'll probably be looking for another pair.

I don't know why the description says "leather", these are plastic shoes. The look cheap, and they feel cheap.

Shoe is comfortable for the price. Only complaint would be that heel is hollow, thus continuous wear (full work week 40 hours) wears out shoe in a short time. My first suggestion would be to give this shoe a solid heel.

I bought a pair of Tribunes to replace a previous pair that lasted more that three years of pretty good wear, but the new pair only lasted a few months, both the soles became separated, and upper sole is discolored! I am not sure if the quality went down, or what is going on. I will try again - one more pair - but that is it.

Very comfortable shoe - My husband loved this shoe, unfortunately we had to return it because of the lace tearing at the eye of the right shoe. Otherwise he loved the comfort.

Good shoe - I like the feel and look of the shoes, but have found since I started wearing them that they are causing discomfort with my big toe. Additionally they seem to make my feet sweat more than my other shoes.

Great service, bad fit - Zappos' service was unbelievable, from the web and by phone, shoes arrived less than 48 hours after I ordered them! unfortunately, the Deer Stags were wierdly sized. I usually wear a 15 or 16 D, so I ordered a 15 since the reviews said they ran big. These shoes were so long and so wide that I knew they'd never fit and returned them (free shipping!) right away. The shoes looked like 16 or 17 EEE. I've ordered a different shoe and hope it fits better. Thanks!

Neat, balanced design. Versatile, light, comfortable shoes. The heel insert it awesome! My feet used to hurt from stiff office shoes, but the Tribunes fixed it. Quality...atrocious. After a couple of months of fairly light wearing and good care, one shoe tore in the back. I took it to two repair shops, and was told it was thin leather (cutting corners?) which lacked strength which is why it had a plastic coating. Yet, the leather/plastic combo still lacks strength and is difficult to repair.

I bought this same shoe at a national name shoe store in my town. They lasted me for 3 years while I was commuting on foot to work. I just got a one year anniversary email from Zappos for the pair I thought was identical I purchased from Zappos.com to replace that pair. Very timely! This pair is falling apart; obviously much lower quality. The sole is separating on both pairs and I am scared to try and polish them again because the leather upper is trying to peel off. My assumption is that the economy has affected the quality of Deer Stags product line. I only put one year of much lighter use on this pair. Buy a higher quality shoe.

low end - This is a prime example of you get what you pay for. I hope I'm wrong but I don't think this shoe will hold it's shape very long. And at this price maybe it should not have to. So if I answer below yes it felt like the right size and width and that the arch support felt proper. I don't think it would last very long.

All bark...no bite... Realizing I may be creating a conundrum in writing this, I'll proceed cautiously. I purchased these shoes based on both the look and after reading a few reviews (hint). The fit is very vague and after wearing them a couple of times, they no longer support my arches - I would attribute that to 'over break in', if there is such a thing. The more embarrassing problem with these shoes is the absolute disaster they leave in their wake in the office. I can no longer wear these shoes to work because of the scuff marks they leave behind. You must walk as if you are literally walking on egg shells. I guess I’ll have to do even more research before making a purchase as these reviews did not mention this minor little issue at all. But then again, if we don’t acknowledge the reviews why I am I typing this…

This shoe is poorly made. I received them in mid August and the sole started falling off the bottom of the shoe by late September. I have had to use glue to hold them together just long enough to buy new shoes. Now the sides are ripping and coming out of the sole of the shoe as well. I've never seen shoes fall apart like this.

In the past I would have rated this shoe 4 stars. Today I would rate it 1/2 star. The company making this shoe has cut corners and you should not expect this shoe to last more than two months at best. I purchased this shoe from Zappos two months ago and after one month of light wear the sole separated from the uppers. In addition, the leather has become increasingly thinner -- currently only a thin veneer of leather over a thin cloth backing. My recommendation -- save your money and buy a better shoe. However it is also possible that some of Zappos stock is counterfeit and you are purchasing a very cheap copy-cat shoe.

This was a replacement for a pair I had purchased 18 months prior. However in construction the shoe was very different. After the first couple outings, the shoe separated from the heel. As others noted, it's only glued in. I had them reglued locally, assuming it was a bad batch. No luck. Gave out after a few more outings. And the rubber where the sole meets the heel cracked too. This happened on my original pair. After 18 months. Not after a few weeks in service. Very disappointed with this shoe. Do not buy.

Simply put these shoes are cheap and will only last a short time. There are NO STITCHES holding the sole to the insole or "leather" upper. Only glue which allows the sole to come loose giving you that awesome "duck bill" foot. Waste of time & money if they are meant for daily or even weekly wear.

The stitching on the side between the sole and upper came apart within 30 days. Looking closely the stitching barely went through the uppers, leaving mostly glue to hold it together.
