I got these walking shoes because I would be doing a fair amount of walking. They lasted one month before the sole started to separate from the shoe. I no longer use these shoes because of this and just ended up buying a different pair of shoes. Looking at the pictures it's hard to believe these shoes were only used for a month but it is indeed the case. I figured a pair of world tour walking shoes would last a little longer.

Too narrow and tight

Narrow and uncomfortable. The archform is too high mid arch,which makes walking difficult.

Not comfortable at all. Ordered wide but wasn’t wide enough. Have three pairs of rockports and liked them, but will have to change brands now.

Very cheaply made shoe. No padding or cushioning. Not up Rockport standards.

I bought Rockports for work for years, but it has been several years since my last purchase. (I retired and wear them out more slowly.) They always fit perfectly and had minimal break-in time (A day or two.) I attempted to buy the same shoe I always purchased, but needed a 1/2 size larger when they arrived this time and they were much stiffer, rubbing my ankle. Worse, one shoe in the replacement pair had an horrendously loud click when flexed. It felt like something in the interior of the sole was slipping back and forth (popping) in the clicking shoe. Seemed as if one interior layer in the sole was not securely glued. Really swore by Rockport in the past and was very dissappointed.

The material fell apart after a couple months of wear. I would not recommend to anyone that wants a quality pair of shoes that will last.

These shoes are nothing like the Rockports I have owned in the past. The material is so stiff that it hurts my feet and ankles. The steel shank in the sole creates a stiff step, too, and it makes it impossible to walk quietly. Rockport used to be known for comfort. I hope that this shoe is just a fluke!

I have had Rockport shoes in the past and they were great. The soles of these shoes are like walking on rocks. I can’t return them anymore, I will never wear them and I left them home on a world trip. I am so disappointed by them

I have bought this same shoe for years and now the same size is so narrow that I can't even put my foot in it.

Is this a joke? For $100, this is VERY cheaply made and not as pictured. Picture indicates real leather, yet product has very cheap, smooth, plastic bottoms and side, as well as obviously fake leather. The color is wrong as well. This is false advertising. Rockport is an unethical company should not be allowed to sell this product on the Zappos website.

Last year (2021) I bought a pair at a local store & the shoe was made in Vietnam. Apparently it had been in the storeroom for sometime. It fit perfectly, was comfortable and attractive. This year (2022) the store didn't have any more so I ordered from Zappos. Rockport moved manufacturing to India. This new model is worse in every way compared to the old one. The shoe doesn't fit the same ,is uncomfortable , not as attractive and has a short tongue. I'm not sure what I will buy to replace it but it won't be a Rockport model.

Rockport is definitely not the same shoe as they used to be. Previous Rockport shoes have been so comfortable upon wearing even the first time. This pair felt as if I was stepping into a shoe filled with hard concrete. No padding or cushion whatsoever. I will need to try different brand.

I am very disappointed in this shoe and am reaching out to Zappos' customer service to see if they can rectify the issue. The left shoe fit as expected and was very comfortable. However, the right shoe was defectively made and the tongue of the shoe dug into my ankle. That made the pair unwearable. The defective stitching was so egregious that a ten year old would have spotted it. I read some reviews before buying that commented on the poor workmanship and now I am one of those customers who have been affected by the shoddy work. I'm hopeful that Zappos can rectify the issue and can send me a pair that fit properly without any manufacturer's defects. If so, I will be writing an amendment to this review.
