I am really enjoying this pair of boots. They look really good with a straight/skinny leg jeans. Unlike the other reviews I read, I have had no issues with slipping on wet surfaces; heavy & light rain. I did find they do run a half-size large, so be aware to purchase a size/half-size smaller. My only compliant is that there is little to no arch support. I plan on buying some inserts.

Great looking boots. As many others have already mentioned, I had to go a full size down from what I normally wear. They also tend to run narrow, which doesn't work as well for my wider, flat feet. I'm waiting to see if they stretch a bit. Other than that, they're that good balance between casual and dress footwear.

Good shoe so far. The only complaint/more of a warning is that they run a little big. I had heard they were large so instead of ordering a size 11 like I normally wear, I ordered the 10.5. They were still a little large. I'm not sure if they were a full size too large as a neutral insert makes them comfortable. Just a heads up.

A very comfortable boot that had a great leather smell on arrival. I will likely buy another pair in a different color in the near future, but have some words of warning. The sole on the Beeswax color picks up colors and dirt like no one's business, and the material is prone to shedding but has been resilient so far. Also, the laces that shipped with the boot were pretty flimsy and broke only 3 months in to ownership. Re-laced, the boots remain near the top of my shoe rotation.

I always wanted a pair of Clarks Desert Boots, ever since I was a kid, and I saw a picture of Steve McQueen wearing them. Yes, I am in my 50s. I decided to get a pair in the beeswax, because I liked the color. I did not realize how much I was going to love these shoes! They look amazing. The distressed brown you get (the beeswax makes the shoe lighter where it bends, so you get these interesting patterns in the leather) looks really great with jeans or khakis. And once they are broken in, they are like putting gloves on your feet. Yes, you have to break them in; they are a classic shoe in all senses of the word. They remind me of when I was a kid, and got my first pair of Buster Browns. It took two weeks to get them properly broken in (like a baseball glove, the better it is broken in the better it feels) but when they did, they were like butter. Do I recommend them? Yes. But do not expect the shoes to be like suede shoes are, the beeswax stiffened leather takes a while to be just right. And with the gum sole, it just gets better.

Love how this boot looks, especially when it gets broken in and beat up. It does take a bit to break in, but once it does it's very comfortable. My main issue with this boot is the crepe sole does not hold up well at all. If you're like me and wear this most of the time, the sole will wear out in 3 to 4 months and will become quite uncomfortable. There's a version, the Trooper, which has a lug sole and looks like it'll last a lot longer and be more comfortable in the long run. Also, I've noticed the Beeswax Leather...which is one color, will be different shades of brown...sometimes darker...sometimes lighter. Otherwise, this does run a bit big (I'm a 10 and 9.5 fits well). It's a pretty boot, you just have to be ready to replace it a little sooner than you'd like to.

Bought these on a whim and grew to love them. I wear a size 10 and they've always been a bit loose; half a size smaller seems to be the way to go. My one real complaint about them is the sole wears out quite fast and once it's gone you have absolutely no traction. I've worked in them a few times and they're pretty bad in terms of slipping and grip...and don't even think about wearing them in the rain. Overall, I love how they look (especially when they get beat up) and they're very comfortable once your foot gets used to it (2 weeks or so). I just think they have a short life span and might not be worth their expensive price.

So far so good. These do need a bit of breaking in and I'm still working on that. But the uppers feel well-made and promise to last a very long time.

I like my Clark Desert Trek chukkas and was hoping for similar comfort. Nope. These are a narrower fit. My Desert Treks are a size 12, I wear an 11.5 wide, and they fit great. These are a bit narrow even in a size 12 and a 12.5 would be too long.

I bought these boots for my boyfriend. He usually wears a size 10 and I ended up having to return them for a 9.5. They run big which seems to be the common theme. Also worth noting they are not that warm. So if you wear them in the winter (in a cold climate) ensure you are wearing thick socks or not walking around a lot outside! They do look great with jeans though and they are really smart looking. You can dress them up or down!

Nice looking shoe, well made but not very comfortable. I've owned less expensive desert shoes that were far more comfortable. A little disappointed but I won't wear these every day.

I received my first pair of Clarks today. They were a bit stiff, but I guess it takes time to break them in. Fit is definitely medium, neither too narrow nor wide. Went ahead and order half size down from you're regular size. lets keep things simple about sizing. If you have a regular medium feet, order half size down. If you have a wide feet, stick with your REGULAR SIZE. Cause ordering half size down for a wide feet might not be a good idea width wise, although the shoe is half size longer.

Nice shoes, but be aware, as soon as 1 wear, they look like you've had them forever. My dark blue jeans stained them, and the stains are never coming off.

The jury is still out on these boots for me - I've been wearing these in my office with jeans. I've gotten a few compliments from women, which tells me the style is good. However, they feel different from other shoes and boots I've owned. With only a 2 hole lace pattern they feel very loose, but they seem to stay on and move the way that they should when I walk. The other part that feels odd is the uppers, the leather above the ankle is stiff and feels weird. I know this might not be very helpful, but out of the box and having worn them about 10 times they feel odd. I'll update or re-review, once they have been broken in, with any changes.

Style is amazing, and for the price of the boot you really can't beat it. The quality of the suede (the style I got) is also great and lasts for a long time with very little care/maintenance. Fit is very true after a little bit of breaking in, and they are surprisingly comfortable (maybe not at first, but after they are broken in a bit they feel good). My one real problem with the boot - The weird crepe sole. Seriously Clarks? For this particular company of their name and legacy of their products, I'm pretty surprised with the use of the crepe sole. Ditch the weird gummy crepe and put a real sole on, Clarks - the crepe wears away too fast and becomes totally treadless in less than a year of regular use. Now I have to be careful if there is a wet floor, and forget about if there is ice... might as well just take them off so you don't slip.

I've been wanting this style for a long time and came across this one on Zappos. It was definitely affordable compared to others I had come across. The color was a little lighter than pictured but I was not disappointed. It fit really well but it took me a while to get used to how high and loose it felt around my ankle. Great shoe.

Overall great boot. Perfect for casual attire or dressing it up a bit. Clarks do run a little big so be sure to order at least a half size down. Was concerned about the support, but I haven't been disappointed thus far. Overall-great purchase.

These are my first pair of Clarks and I really love wearing them. They have a great feel, but I'm not sure if I should have gone a full size down instead of a half-size down. They fit nicely, but every once in a while I'll kick the ground like I'm not picking my feet up enough. I've never had this problem with any other shoes and I have a plethora of shoes/boots. Still a great shoe. Might've picked a darker color as well.

I love the way these boots look and they would be very comfortable, had I purchased the correct size. Note that the leather WILL loosen with just a couple wears, and even stiff, they run a half size big, so if they don't feel snug on the day of delivery, return them for a half-size smaller. I normally wear a 10 tennis shoe, but also have some 10.5s, so I ordered a 10. Unfortunately, what started as just a slightly loose boot quickly became much too large as the leather became more flexible. By that time, though, I had already warn them out and couldn't return them. Since then, I looked around and have seen some people ordering a whole size smaller than their normal size, but I would try the half-size first. I still wear these CDBs around to look stylish (very sharp style!), but not normally for whole days at a time to avoid blisters.

Really a classic. I did have to go 1/2 a size down. Zappos was great with the exchange. The shoe really molds to your feet after a few wears. It isn't as comfortable as my Alden or Allen-Edmond shoes but it isn't $300+ either. It can go with chinos and jeans but not with dressier pants.

Great looking boot. Great service from Zappos. I usually wear a 10.5 in shoes, but can occasionally squeeze into a 10. These boots, at a 9.5, fit perfect -- so do go at least a half-size down from your normal size when ordering.

The boot looks good with just about anything you wear including shorts. The sole is spongy and has a comfortable foot bed. The boot however is hot and does not give much breathability for your feet. I think the boots would be better suited for fall or winter weather. You also need to go down about a half size since these boots run large.

So stylish. But - and this the thing - totally unwearable, at least for me - without an insole. Maybe this is typical for boots? Or really nice things - like they are kind of unfinished and you get to pick your own way to finish it - maybe that is how it works. With the insole, much better for walking around. They look amazing.

I usually wear a size mens 9 in any other shoes but I went ahead and ordered a size 8 mens after seeing reviews saying that these boots run a full size larger. I'm glad I did because the size 8 fits perfect. The only problem I have with these boots is that they chewed the back on my heels up today while walking in them. They gave me blisters on both my back heels and pinky toes. I'll be putting on thicker socks next time when i wear these boots. Overall I'm happy with the boots and would recommend. A+ for Zappos fast shipping time and excellent customer service. I ordered on Sunday and received them today Tuesday the 10th of May.
