I ordered this Euro hiker to update my hiking boots in 11.5 wide. I have long been a big fan of the Timberland Pro series and those boots fit my feet perfectly in 11.5 sizing. (I wear an 11 in street shoes) Prior to ordering I chatted with a Timberland advisor who told me that all timberlands are not alike in sizing and that i should order multiple boots in different sizes to be safe. Not what I expect out of an advisor. When these 11.5 wides arrived I found that they were far too small for my foot and not particularly wide. I would have needed a full size larger and possibly more for them to fit correctly . These boots are clearly not made on the same last as the T Pros. Too short and too narrow!

I do like these boots...I think. I had the bad luck of buying a pair that developed a defect in the toe of the boot, I submitted them for warranty, and that is when the problems started. I have been trying to complete a warranty claim for the last 2 months. I contacted the warranty dept on July 20, a week after the boot had been received at the warranty facility, as I hadn't received any communications from Timberland. I received an email stating it could take up to 15 business days for processing. 15 business days came and went and I emailed the warranty dept again asking for an update. It took over a week to get a response, at which time I was told I had been called on July 13 (before I had emailed them about not hearing anything) and I had not responded to their message. Turns out they had the wrong number. Then they couldn't replace my boots and couldn't provide any of the other styles I requested. I was finally offered a gift card en lieu of replacement at a specific value, which I accepted. I was issued a gift card that was rescinded literally 1 min later, and I received an email stating I would be issued gift card that was $30 lower than what was proposed. When I replied that that was not what we had agreed upon, I was basically told to shove off. I understand human error, but two months of back and forth and being jerked around by customer service over a product that is covered by warranty is unbelievable to me. I used to think Timberland was a solid, reputable company, but this has left a bad taste in my mouth.

This goes beyond a monitor issue. The different components of the shoe all look to be a slightly different color than pictured. For example the laces look dark red as depicted but they are not. They are brown. The tongue of the shoe is a drabber olive green, and the leather body is darker--these are minor. The most obvious difference is the foam at the bottom of the shoe just above the black sole; it is some weird beige color not at all red like in the picture. Altogether the shoe I'm holding looks as though it is a different color combination than the shoe pictured. It has a very different look, less aesthetically pleasing to me. I'm happy with the shoe in many other regards, but I spent a lot of time picking out a look I liked, and this is not it, so I will probably be returning it.

My feet hurt when walking short distances - the back of my foot and the sole of my foot. They don't look as cool as I thought they would.

These boots are O.K, if you were to wear them once a week. Even though the boots were used mostly on sand and turf, the soles wore down quickly. I was under the impression that the "Timberland" Company sold a quality product. Guess I should have done more research. Hats off to their marketing department.

Bad experience, where the metal loop is you can feel it in the boot, not rocking at all! #SWEEPSTAKES

After only 2 seasons these boots are falling apart. My treks are only on paddocks with occasional mud and dew. Yet the soles have separated from the uppers while grabs for laces have snapped away.

I was so excited to get another pair of timberlands - I've had many trail runner shoes from you and this was my first boot purchase. After walking only a little bit I noticed my toes started to hurt. I put my hand inside the shoe and noticed that the ridges of the seems that hold the hardware on the inside were sticking out and rubbing against my toes causing a kind of rug-burn and blisters to form on the top of my toes. I have mailed the shoes for a return and they were delivered to your KC location on 12/11 and I am still waiting for a refund of the money.

I bought this boot taking in consideration timberland's brand for boots/hiking shoe quality, reliability and reputation for the first time. I decided to take my new boots on my weekend hiking. The boot felt nice and comfortable and fitted to my foot. It was a big surprise when few yards into the trail, the boot was skidding on small rocks and not to mention when stepping on tree roots, they were super slippery. They do not have that grip that you expect from a hiking shoe, and that already made me feel unsafe. I had to be extra cautious beacuse i didn't want to have an accident. I took a step on a rock going up a hill in the trail and the boot slips. There is no grip at all on the dirt or anything causing me to fall and slide down the hill hurting and bruising my knees, hips and back. Disgusting hiking shoe. DO NOT BUY.

I wore theses boots to go to dinner with friends and at the end of the night my feet hurt , they seem to not be padded well and not durable. I wear boots all day at work and never had problems.

Comfortable and a great look. Unfortunately the heels are soft and wear in a few months of three mile per day walks. I don't think they can be rebottomed.
I'd also recommend:
I believe Merrill has a sturdy sole/heel on their hikers.

I have never seen a boot fall apart so fast. If you get them wet they will fall apart. I guarantee that. I have purchased 3 pair. Only because they are so comfortable and we're on sale. but as soon as they get wet bam apart they come. I do a lot of camping year round So it's a give me my feet will get a little wet from walking though mud or crossing a creek Or just going to the store in the rain. So if you own these boots you better invest in a bottle of gorilla glue. Timberland should not be allowed to sell shoes in the USA.
