Color is completely different. A lot darker and the light parts are a lot lighter. Looks nothing like the picture.

These are for leisure, Nice and comfortable, have worn them once. Only thing I dont like, is the trim around one of the boots don't connect together, which makes one of them look fake

This is a nice looking , comfortable boot , but you get what you pay for :
This is not waterproof , the lining is poor quality cloth which soon wears through to expose a rather cheap looking cardboard type heel structure . The soles are fine for walking and light use , but they do wear out and are expensive to repair .
However , with a short term horizon (18 months `ish ) this is a good buy , but , look out for discounts as this item is not worth more than $100 . imho .

Boot was not the size I ordered. The box had the correct size on it but the boot inside didn't match. It was a size too small. Don't know how I actually like it since I just returned it and have not gotten the correct one yet. I have owned this boot before and liked it very much. Have high hopes for the newer version.

They seemed great for hiking, sturdy without much break in time. If they had gussets I might use them for hiking, but the floppy tongue is awkward and doesn't keep much out.

Regarding this boot design, excellent materials and workmanship. My real objections are design flaws. First the over-padded tongue design. I like a boot that supports well and ties snug. The boot is impossible to tie snug because of the extra thick tongue padding. The tie gets even more loose as one walks. Removed the padding from the tongue, but then the top, inside lace hook rests right on the ankle bone.
Secondly the narrow heal design offers less stability. No serious walking boot has a heal this narrow anymore.
A loser if you are a serious walker.

Boots look great and fir right. However, they are unsafe. I bought them in Jan 2024 and these boots do not have grip. They slip on wet sidewalk so be very careful when purchasing this item.

The original design of this boot had a gusseted tongue. This modern version does NOT. I called Timberland to see if there were other current versions of the Euro Hiker that had a gusseted tongue and the representative told me no. I use boots for working and hiking and prefer the fit and protection a gusseted tongue offers. I had several pairs over Euro Hikers over the years from the 90's through the twenty teens. They were always comfortable and performed well for me, so I was excited to go back to them when my last pair of other work boots finally wore out. However I am now returning the boots without even trying them on. I am disappointed in the design change. Please give the boot a gusseted tongue as it had in the original design and I would be happy to purchase again.

I ordered this Euro hiker to update my hiking boots in 11.5 wide. I have long been a big fan of the Timberland Pro series and those boots fit my feet perfectly in 11.5 sizing. (I wear an 11 in street shoes) Prior to ordering I chatted with a Timberland advisor who told me that all timberlands are not alike in sizing and that i should order multiple boots in different sizes to be safe. Not what I expect out of an advisor. When these 11.5 wides arrived I found that they were far too small for my foot and not particularly wide. I would have needed a full size larger and possibly more for them to fit correctly . These boots are clearly not made on the same last as the T Pros. Too short and too narrow!

I do like these boots...I think. I had the bad luck of buying a pair that developed a defect in the toe of the boot, I submitted them for warranty, and that is when the problems started. I have been trying to complete a warranty claim for the last 2 months. I contacted the warranty dept on July 20, a week after the boot had been received at the warranty facility, as I hadn't received any communications from Timberland. I received an email stating it could take up to 15 business days for processing. 15 business days came and went and I emailed the warranty dept again asking for an update. It took over a week to get a response, at which time I was told I had been called on July 13 (before I had emailed them about not hearing anything) and I had not responded to their message. Turns out they had the wrong number. Then they couldn't replace my boots and couldn't provide any of the other styles I requested. I was finally offered a gift card en lieu of replacement at a specific value, which I accepted. I was issued a gift card that was rescinded literally 1 min later, and I received an email stating I would be issued gift card that was $30 lower than what was proposed. When I replied that that was not what we had agreed upon, I was basically told to shove off. I understand human error, but two months of back and forth and being jerked around by customer service over a product that is covered by warranty is unbelievable to me. I used to think Timberland was a solid, reputable company, but this has left a bad taste in my mouth.

This goes beyond a monitor issue. The different components of the shoe all look to be a slightly different color than pictured. For example the laces look dark red as depicted but they are not. They are brown. The tongue of the shoe is a drabber olive green, and the leather body is darker--these are minor. The most obvious difference is the foam at the bottom of the shoe just above the black sole; it is some weird beige color not at all red like in the picture. Altogether the shoe I'm holding looks as though it is a different color combination than the shoe pictured. It has a very different look, less aesthetically pleasing to me. I'm happy with the shoe in many other regards, but I spent a lot of time picking out a look I liked, and this is not it, so I will probably be returning it.
