Okay - I am the ultimate nerd. I admit it. I wear these puppies with white socks. The most comfortable shoe ever if you don't mind being laughed at by more stylish friends who don't have rheumatoid arthritis. I have also had bunion and other foot surgeries. These shoes are the best if you are recovering from foot surgery. I find they are the most comfortable when worn with socks. When I go barefoot in the summer, Naots are my ride.

This is my third pair of these sandals in 35 years. I have had the old ones resoled, reconditioned, and kept alive through occasional saddle-soaping and leather care...but nothing special. I love these shoes. there is really nothing else like them and they just make your feet feel good while providing good foot (sole) support.

My husband wore these shoes for six years, daily during the summer months, before I put my foot down and bought him a replacement pair. I found the exact same shoe on Zappos, and he's thrilled. You can't beat these sandals for comfort, and they stand up to a lot of abuse (I'm still wearing mine). Now if I can get him to throw the old ones away....

I've been wearing this shoe for over 10 years (have had several different pairs in different leathers), and it's been the best in terms of serviceability and support for my feet. They've helped me climb the Yellow Mountains in China, as well as walked the streets of many countries with me.

My husband and I have both owned pairs of these - he wears his constantly and has gone through several pairs. They are very comfortable, can be used everywhere (hiking in Egypt - don't forget the sunscreen!) and look good. A classic sandal that won't go out of style.

This is my first purchase of a Birkenstock, ever. Note to first timers: they run a full size larger. I normally wear a 5.5 to 6. I ended up with a 4/4.5 sandal, which still fits a little too big, but going to a smaller size will be too small.

Very comfortable right away. These are excellent sandals for people with sensitive feet. A very good value overall. Not particularly stylish (sandals are quite chunky), but that's not the point of the Birkenstock brand.

If you like Birkenstock shoes then you will also enjoy these. It is nice to have the back strap to keep the shoe on your foot during a fast walk.

Great shoe! Love Birkenstocks! This is my third pair and you couldn't ask for a better shoe. You can walk all day and your foot won't hurt. Priceless!

These shoes were pretty uncomfortable until I broke them in. Now they are snug and comfortable and amazing. I will be sad when it starts to snow and I can't wear these every day anymore.

The sandals are great and met my expectations! This is my second pair of Birks. My first pair finally gave out after about 12 years.

I purchased my first pair 18 years ago and they were great. It was time for a replacement. These are just as comfortable as my old ones. The sizes run big. I am a 8.5 and I got 7.5. They arrived in 2 days. I will buy form Zappos again.

Felt stiff and mildly uncomfortable at first, but I expected that as friends who wear them said that there was a short break-in period while the footbed conforms to the shape of your foot. Now, however, they are simply the most comfortable sandals I've ever owned. Because I don't like flip-flops, I ordered the Milano because it has a heel strap. Also, because it hasn't a built up heel, your foot is absolutely flat, no forward tilt, I find my walking posture is more natural. Also, I like the fact that when they get worn to the point that most people would throw away their sandals, you can send Birkenstock back for renewal. Am I satisfied with my purchase? You bet.

These are my absolute favorite sandals. I've had them for over 10 years at this point, had them resoled twice and recorked once, and I pretty much live in them all summer. Since I live in New York, I have to walk around a lot, and nothing stops my plantar fasciitis from hurting like these sandals do. They're not cute, but they do their job.

Great sandals. I have been buying these for 10 years. Only comment is Zappos says the size 40 is a mens 7 1\/2 which is incorrect. I bought 40\'s and I wear a nine.

I\'m very pleased with the Milano style. The rear strap make these Birkenstocks work for me. I\'ve been having a persistent problem with my arch but the Birkenstocks are really giving me relief.

I really like these sandals. They are comfy, and the leather feels great on bare feet (my feet are sensitive). I travel to my clients homes everyday and the first thing I do is take off my shoes. I got sick of unstrapping these sandals every time, so I cut off the heel straps, now I really love them! I should have bought the strapless ones, but these are every bit as good now. The leather quality is superb as well.

My first pair of Birkenstocks, and I love them. They work well with socks and without. I don\'t even know they are on my feet, they are so comfortable, and I understand they will get better with time.

I bought my pair of Birkenstock Milanos in 1994. They are quite possibly the ugliest shoes I own, but they are amazingly comfortable. I can wear them all day long with no problems, and I like to wear them as a corrective measure after I've worn cute non supportive shoes or sandals. They put me all back into my proper alignment.They have lasted very well, and will probably need their rubber soles replaced soonish, but the rest of the sandal is still in great shape.

I\'m very pleased with my Birkenstock Milanos. It was clear in the information that Birkenstock narrow isn\'t as narrow as AA which I wear; however, the straps are adjustable. The sandals are very comfortable. I can wear them all day long.

I am not an easy customer because I have problem feet, but Zappos always accomodates my trial and error ordering, and always accepts returns and exchanges without argument. I highly recommend Zappos for online shopping.

Great arch support! My arches had been sore, and so I got a pair of these and just wearing them around my house (since its still snowy out) has made my feet happy!
