Feed your inner hippie - Probably the most comfortable shoes in the world. Beware, though, the break-in period of two weeks can be exquisitely painful. Wear socks during the break-in.

The Absolute BEST - I've worn numerous pairs of Birks in the past, the Arizona and Milano are my favorites. I have to laugh at the review below that states they fell apart. Birks need their cork taken care of and it will last a long time. I have a pair of Arizonas that are 4 years old and my Milanos are about 3 yrs old. With some occasional care, they're in great shape, even after getting them wet more than once!! If you've never tried a pair of Birks, TRY THEM you WILL love them as much as I do!

Solid non-nonsense Sandal - I have two pairs of Birkies, one pair Lawrence and these Milano's. Only trouble is: either the Milano's sizes are overstated (actual size larger than stated), or the Lawrence's are understated. All that aside, I love these sandals! Old sandals would give me blisters and/or raw spots if worn too long, not so with these jewels!

Great investment for your feet. Don't be intimidated by the price...Birks are worth every penny. Super comfy and supportive. Bought my first pair on recommendation by my podiatrist after having foot surgery. They were about the only shoes that felt comfy after my operation. I now own a dozen pairs in all styles and colors. Even shoes and boots. They are the greatest shoes and the most comfy because they mold to your feet. They may feel stiff for a few days, but the cork breaks in quickly. Make sure you get your correct size, though. Their sizing chart isn't all that accurate. I wear a 5 1/2-6 and my Birk size is a 36. There chart says 37. So make sure the shoe fits, then wear it all the time!

I liked these. This is my second pair. I need long narrow shoes that don\'t bite. I have found several pairs on this site and bought them quick.

Leather finish - The edges of the leather are sharp actually rubbed a cut into my foot where the lower buckle is.

Good deal!!! I've been hearing good things about Birkenstock sandals, and how good they feel. So I bought some from this website and was pretty impressed, with the service, payment methods and shipping.

First Birkis - This is my first pair of Birkenstock's - they came to me highly recommended. Thus far, I've found them not only comfortable, but that they actually put energy into my walking step. I don't need my orthotics inserts when wearing these sandals. I'm happy, and so are my feet!

Good, standard Birkies - This is my third pair of Milanos, that probably says more than I could come up with. I've gotten a new pair every five years or so. I've always lived in warm climates, so I wear them often. They're comfortable and durable.

Finally.... I finally found a pair of Birkenstocks on sale that I liked, in my size. ( Having small feet is always a problem...) Oh yeah, I could have paid full price and gotten exactly what I wanted but where`s the fun in that? I`ve owned a pair of Arizona copies from the Pacific Rim for years now and I hardly ever wear them. They aren`t comfy and they are forever trying to fall off my feet. What a pain in the tookus. I just assumed the Birkenstocks were the same only more money. I got a deal as I said on the Milano’s two days ago. I put off buying sandals for years because I use an orthotic in my shoes. I never noticed what a nice arch support the Birkenstocks had in them before. It`s very similar to the "hump" in the arch of my orthotic. Usually if I try going anywhere without the orthotic in my shoe my feet and ankles and knees start to give me trouble with a capitol "T". Not with the Birkenstocks though. I put them on in the morning and never want to take them off. It feels good to have my dogs out in the fresh air for a change instead of being tucked away in a smelly old sneaker. Friends who have owned them for years tell me that the longer I wear them the more comfortable they will become. I don`t see how it could get better than this. I like them. I like them a lot! My only complaint is that I have trouble with the buckles. They are on the outside of the sandal and I think they would be easier to get at from the inside. It would look strange but if I can get to the buckles easier I wouldn`t really care. I can`t help but feel that pushing my foot into the sandal and pulling the backstrap over the heel will wear out the sandal much faster. I guess I want them to last forever. Nothing this good ever does but you can`t blame a guy for trying.

Casual comfort - Any Birkenstock, is very comfortable after it is work in. This usually takes anywhere from 1 month to 6 months based on how much you wear them, but after they start to form to your foot, you won't want to take them off.

My sandals - I like the comfort of these shoes, but I get embarrassed at the sound they make as my foot pulls away with each step. Is there something that can be done about that? Surely, not everyone has this problem, or the shoe wouldn't be quite so popular.

Comfort - These shoe are very comfortly,they only thing the right shoe rubs on my 4th toe were the buckle is. Otherwise I like them very attractive shoes and are good on my back.

Birkenstock Milano Sandal - Although Birkenstock states that their shoes are supposed to have a looser fit than other shoes, I find it difficult to adjust to that feel. I also find the extremely hard sole uncomfortable. I ordered the shoes at the suggestion of my podiatrist as an aid in dealing with the discomfort of plantar fascitis. I was warned by my son, who owns a pair of Birkenstocks, that I would have to break the shoes in, but would eventually find them to be the most comfortable shoes in the world. After four weeks of pretty much continuous wearing, I'm still waiting for that to happen. I'm sure they are of good quality and expect them to last a long time. (My son's Birkenstocks are still in good shape after six years of frequent wearing.) I just wish they provided a little more comfort.

Great look,terrible wear - I loved the way these sandals looked in black with a pair of jeans. So I bought them and wore them and ended up with 5 bloody blisters in 5 diff. spots, so figured I'd try them more than once and next 4 times went away bleeding...

Need another pair - I really enjoy this sandal! Unfortunately my wife has the same size foot as me and we have to fight over who gets to wear the sandals! I am on Zappos looking for a pair for her now! The best sandals I own, period.

Great Walking Sandal - I recently purchased this sandal at the request of my college age son. I had bought him a pair over a year ago, and even though he had other sandals, this was his favorite. He walks all over campus, and this was the most comfortable sandal he owned. So, when he headed back to school this August, he requested another pair. Now that's all he wears!

These great shoes lasted nearly 5 years of hard wear on college campuses, foreign countries,and the sands of the Arizona desert. Then, they needed a serious repair to the heels. The tops were in perfect condition! So, I got on line to Zappos and ordered new Milanos. They arrived in just one day after ordering and were just right! The leather tops were not as shiny as the originals were, but they were a perfect replacement. Thanks, Birkenstock! Thanks, Zappos! You have made a Notre Dame University Staff member very happy and ready to go for another 5 years in your great shoes!

Birkenstock Milano review - Great sandal - leather is of high quality. My previous Birks lasted 10 years - so I am expecting the same from these...

Milanos forever...! I love thes sandals. I have some difficulty walking, and find I need a stable base such as these sandals provide. I wear them all year round, with and without the colorful socks my daughter knits. They have perfect support and don't slip off. Not cheap, but totally worth it. My old pair finally wore out after years and many recorkings.
