They do the job - These shoes were uncomfortable at first and caused a couple of blisters, but after about a week of breaking in, they are comfortable to walk in.

Just what I needed - I have found the Birkenstock Milano to be a very comfortable sandal. It hits the bottom of my foot in different places than most of my other shoes so that has taken a little getting used to. I have a variety of foot problems due to severe varicose veins so the structure, support, and breathing room of this shoe are very helpful to me. I think they also help my posture.

Good - I like the style and bought these with doctors order. However, the toe area is quite painful. I'm hoping after more use it will become softer and less painful.

Pricey but seem worth it - I have only had these sandals a few weeks and the break-in period is still on going. I had to wear socks for a while to help the break in. I hope they lossen up soon!!

Birkenstock Milano - The first shipment received was the wrong size. They were promptly replace with the correct one. I have an very narrow foot with little or no arch. Therefore while the length is fine, the sandal is not quite as narrow as I had hoped. And the fact that I have no arch, it felt a little uncomfortable when initially tried on. Still doesn't feel as comfortable as I would like, but hopefully as I break them in, added comfort will ensue. I like the style and color.

Birkenstock Milano - This is the first pair of Birkenstocks I have worn. It took me a few days to break them in, but I wear them everywhere now. I'm looking forward to trying some of the other styles. Based on your reviews, I ordered a size smaller, and they fit just right.

After breaking in was comfortable. The two over foot straps seemed to long and I had to make extra holes in them.

They take some getting used to! I bought these shoes for my backpacking trip to Europe this summer, so I'm trying to break them in. The first couple times I wore them on long walking trips I got blisters on my arch, but the more I wear them the more comfortable they become.

Nice sandal once you get the right size. I bought my normal size, but when I received the sandals, they felt very small and uncomfortable. I got a half size larger and the sandal is now in the break in period and it feels pretty good. I have worn it for several days around the house and I like the feel of it.

For the cost of these shoes, I expected better quality. Where the leather is glued to the cork layer, I noticed that the leather is not neatly glued and tucked between the cork and rubber sole leaving a smooth, flush side to the shoe. Instead, it is flush in some areas and jagged rough leather edges in others. It's as if someone just glued the leather to the side of the shoe without a care in the world as to how it looked. There are leather edges sticking out and it looks sloppy. The rough edges of the leather should not be sticking out. It should be glued and tucked between the cork and rubber sole and be flush with the shoe instead of irregular edges sticking out along the sides of the shoe.
