The design on these Docs is awesome and quite an eye catcher. They fit the same as my other boots and are very comfortable.

My second pair of docs! They are great, fit true to size, comfortable to wear even though the insoles are flat (I have flat feet though). I bought the sea blue ones and the colour is the best! It's a really cool teal that fades to black at the toe. The leather is soft and comfortable right out of the box. I look forward to wearing these for a long time!

Poor quality. These should be sold at Walmart for $45. Returned.

Still my favorite stompy boots! I did put my own insoles in for arch support, which there was plenty of room for and their insoles are removable, yay. These seem like the same Docs as last time I bought them, so I have to disagree with some of the other reviewers on that.

The sole started to detach after 5 months. I have been using Dr. Martens for the past 25 years and never saw anything like that. Zappos customer care is replacing the shoes for free. The big problem is that this is the second time this happens for the same shoes! I had them already replaced for the same problem, so this is the third pair I am getting. I hope the issue is one specific factory/country: both defective pairs of shoes came from Vietnam. I have another pair made in Thailand that is still good, so I hope they do not break as well. If Dr. Martens is reading, I hope they will improve quality control on ALL their factories as these shoes are still very expensive.

I really like the classic styling of Doc Marten's boots. For a boot they are pretty comfortable. I have had many pairs in the past but i have one major complaint. The English sizing chart is just the worst, the shoes go directly from a 10.5 U.S. to a 11.5 U.S. where is the 11? this seems to be the only size they skip. So the boots are always for me too tight or too loose. You would think they would have enough demand for a size 11 but no such luck.

These are no longer made in England; you need to look for the Vintage line for that. These took quite a bit of breaking in but are still going 10+ years later.

I'm not one to typically leave a review; If I like something, I'll likely buy that something again. If I don't, I'll look elsewhere. However, these boots have been so miserable throughout my year and a half of owning them that if I can convince one person to look for another product I will be happy. I do not want any consolation from Doc's, I have worn these daily for a year and a half so I at least feel that I got my use from them. Nor do I want any from Zappos, I will be buying a new pair of boots from here, that aren't made by Doc Martens, because Zappos customer service always keeps me coming back. That said, these boots took about 3 weeks to break in which is normal to me but it was only about after 6 months that the leather between the laces and the toe began to crack and split open. Mind you, I work in an office and the most strenuous activity I will do in a day is walk up two flights of stairs, yet after 6 months these boots looked like toe was going to outright fall off. Not long after that a large section of the heel ripped, not where a seam was just right in the middle of the leather. The quality of the leather is so poor, I feel that it more closely resembles wet cardboard. The insides of the boots were reduced to shreds after only a year, I routinely found myself pulling out pieces of fabric from the inside of the shoe, especially where the heel is. Even pieces of plastic were coming loose and I had to tear them out because it constantly felt like there was a giant rock in my shoe. As for the soles, they supposedly are resistant to Oil, Fat, Petrol, Acid, and Alkali; I wouldn't know as I've never walked on any of those substances before in these boots. I do walk on snow a lot, and I can tell you, you're going to eat it wearing these. Absolutely no traction in snow or slush. I'm not talking ice here, I don't expect any boot that doesn't have metal spikes on the bottom to be ice resistant, but just walking on snow in these feels like walking on a slip-n-slide while barefoot. After a year and a half, the traction on the soles is just gone. I don't care anymore, my feet can't take this any longer. I'm just going to outright say it, these boots are Chinese garbage and knowing what I know now, I wouldn't wear these if they were free. Thank you for your time

Best looking color on the 1460s. Great boots.

The Dr. Martens 1460 is exactly what it is. These are the most comfortable boots, and I wear them daily. The only downside is the break in period. I recommend breaking them in slowly. I work 12 hour shifts in the medical field, and so I wait until I've worn them several times prior to wearing them to work. Take care of them and they will last a very long time. I have owned about 20 pairs of these, and I do recommend buying them here at zappos, mainly because of their customer service. Any time I've had a problem or a question, they are available immediately. Dr. Martens run a little big. advise would be try them on in a store first.

I purchased these for my husband because although he is 41, he wants his feet to look like they're still 17. He loves them but agrees with other reviews that the quality isn't the same as they once were when they were manufactured in the UK. He still rates them a "5" though

Great boot. Feels great, wears great. And great delivery, fast. I wear a size 8.5 vans shoe and the Doc size 9 fits good, while leaving just a bit of room for a bigger sock or an insert. Also I got the grenade green, they looked to me to be more brown on the site but they are indeed a darkish green.

Bought these for my husband, he loves them! I have 4 pair of Docs myself, love them all.

These are perfect. They fit perfectly and I got them right on time!

My first pair of Docs, these feel a bit too big and are a bit chunkier than I usually like in a boot. I haven't worn them much, but they seem comfortable enough. They'll work for winter and thick socks.

Excellent comfort for someone who otherwise wears only orthopedic sneakers. Heavy, but that's to be expected. Styles like an oxford under jeans.

I love my boots! They're stylish and I get compliments everytime I wear them.

This boot runs small and they're impossible to break. They're not comfortable at all and are overpriced. There are thousands of other boots to choose from! Don't waste your money on these!

Bought these as a gift for my husband. He was very happy and he is quite picky

These shoes look great and offer excellent support for my feet. I have plantar fasciitis and my feet feel wonderful in Docs. My only complaint is how quickly these shoes wear down. I'm trying to stretch them to a pair a year but realistically I'm about ready for a new pair every four months. The leather's pretty good if you take care of it, but I really wish Doc Martens sold replacement outsoles.

Another Amazing Zappos experience. I cant say enough about the customer service. While trying to purchase thes, the LAST pair in our needed size, my card wouldnt work> I attempted 2 diff cards. Neither working. I was sure it was an issue with zappos. Called and spoke with the most amazing CS guy. Worried that we wouldnt get the card deal fixed in time, he just sent the shoes! Shoes fit fantastically, soft, hardly a need to break in. Ive worn them many times since receiving. Great quality, as all Dr Martens are. Sizing is True.
