Ecco SeaWalker Tie -
This is a comfortable and long lasting shoe. Dull, conservative styling.

I bought here before, and had good service. Not this time!
I waited on the phone forever. I can buy it somewhere else, without the aggrivation.
I'd also recommend:
I like the shoe, not the service.

Great dressing shoes, not comfortable!
This shoes is really very good looking and dressy.
It's ok comfortable. It definitely is not the comparable to SAS or the old Rockport walking shoes in terms of comfort.
If you want a dress shoes and still be comfort (compare to otehr dress shoes), this is it. If you are looking for a real comfort walking shoes, look for SAS and Rpckport.
My normal size is US 10 2W. This shoes just fit.
Recommended.

Great Shoe all around -
I like the fit, and the look. However, the price is a bit too high.

I recently went to replace my Ecco Trak 11 Lows. The first pair’s toe kind of collapsed after a couple months and they were replaced. The second’s sole sort of disintegrated after 2 years. Other than that, these were by far the best shoes I've ever owned! I purchased these Sea Walker as I wanted something not quite so heavy duty looking. These are definitely not as robust in construction, feel, etc. They fit as ordered and are very comfortable. My only concern is if the stitching on the top of the shoe will begin to wear out, although it does appear to be well recessed. I do intend to get another pair of Trak 2's this fall for winter use. I hope they have solved the problem with the sole material.

Daryl from Nashville -
I have 2 pair of Cross shoes that have lasted 4 years. I'm a retail manager, and am on my feet 10 hours per day. No shoe has lasted more than 8 months to a year. I thought I would try something different, so I chose the Seawalker. It does feel different from the Cross, I think the difference is in the sole design, but it's still quite comfortable. I have a very narrow heel, and these shoes fit more snuggly than I expected. (This is good for me) I wear a 40, it fits like a 40. I would highly recommend the Cross if you're on your feet a lot, and the Seawalker would be next. I'm still getting used to them, so I'll give another review in a few months.

ECCO Forever.
I currently have 6 pair of ECCO shoes and this pair, while a good looking comfortable shoe, is probably my least favorite. The build quality is not as good as ECCO's dress shoes. That said, this ECCO model is still a far better shoe than 90+% of the casual shoes made today.
If you are going to do a lot of walking, I suggest that you consider Mephisto.

Very dissapointed that the fit was so off on this shoe when another Ecco show, the same exact size and width, was perfect. Hello? Sizes should be, gee, I don't know, standardized right? I mean even within the same brand? Is that too much to ask? Get your act together Ecco. Had you gotten this right you would have sold TWO pairs of shoes. Duh.

Beautiful shoes but for some reason the size 12-12.5 was more like an 11-11.5. My husband usually wears a size 11.5 or 12 and these were too small. This was my first experience shopping with Zappos and I will stick with Amazon from now on. Why? Because they credit my bank account as soon as UPS gets the return package, literally, that same day, NOT "7 - days it takes for your package to get to the fulfillment center" plus "48 - hours it takes to process back into our inventory once it arrives" plus "2-10 - business days it takes for your financial institution to credit your card back. " Total balogna. If Amazon can do that why not Zappos? The whole reason for online shopping is to save time, but this turned out to be a waste of time.

Very comfortable. However the stitching starts to separate in short order and the name is odd for a shoe that soaks your foot walking across wet grass. But as I said, very comfortable.

Only pair of Eccos I haven't loved -
This is my 5th pair of Eccos, and the only pair I haven't loved. These are pretty comfortable when walking, but not comfortable at all to me for doing a lot of standing still. It feels like the arch may be slightly forward in the shoe for my foot.

Comfortable but Disappointing -
This is an exceptionally comfortable shoe. However, the durability is very poor especially considering the price. I've owned two pairs and on both the stitching has come apart in less than a year of moderate wear.

I ordered these as a replacement for a seemingly identical pair I bought several years ago at a local shop that no longer carries them. My original pair were the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned, but they were getting kind of shabby. From the moment I examined the new shoes, I knew they were a lot different. First, my originals were made in Belgium. The ones from Zappos were made in Slovakia. My originals had a compass-like trademark on the outward side of each shoe, which was absent from the new ones. The new Sea Walkers were shaped differently--the toe box being narrower than the originals. And, most importantly, they are nowhere near as comfortable as my originals were, even on the first day. These hurt my feet, even though they are the same model and size...

Bugs on Soles!!
If you live in a humid climate, watch out, we have small, almost microscopic bugs eating the soles of the shoes, causing them to get gummy, and they literally stick to any hard surface and disintegrate!! Only Eccos, no other shoes/materials in closet affected by these bugs.

Comfortable but does not last-
The shoe is incredibly comfortable but the lacings holding the leather pieces together in the front of the shoe are coming apart after having the shoe for only about a year.
I'd also recommend:

might not fit every foot -
I bought these three weeks ago in anticipation of a job that required nicer shoes, and lots of walking and standing in place. When first trying them on, I noticed a bit of pressure on the top of my foot from the leather, but I hoped that this would go away with time, considering the shining reputation that the shoe has. Unfortunately, the problem only worsened; walking in these has been a painful experience! Even stretching the shoe at a repair shop couldn't fix the problem. Nor did footbeds of varying thickness help.
Just be sure to try these on upon receipt, and be critical; don't assume that your foot will have the same experience as the other reviewers.
The Ecco Track II Low fit my foot much better; I'm planning on ordering this soon instead.

This is the first pair of Eccos that I have purchased and did not like. The sole material seems harder than what I have generally expected from Ecco, and I found it difficult to wear these with any moderately thick socks. The construction seems fine, I just did not find them comfortable, or particulary fashionable, either.

I bought a pair of these shoes from The Walking Company as I was headed to Paris where you walk constantly. I have plantar fasciitis in my left foot and the clerk brought these out in response. I tried them on and walked around a little. They were very comfortable. He also brought out the Walking Company insert which I swapped out for the Ecco liner. The shoes were even more comfortable. I had asked for a size 42 because the next size would have been 9½, which is ordinarily too big for my size 8½ feet. I wore these shoes for the next couple of days but almost immediately they were pressing against the top-most part of my left foot (not the instep, above the big toe) and causing pain. I took the shoes off and when I went back to them, putting back the original liners, the pressure was less. But it caused pain now in a different area. Clearly these would not do for long walks in a city! I took them to Paris but after wearing them once, I had to wear different shoes (semi-dress Dockers with Pro-Tech semi-elastic arch supports) for the rest of my seven day vacation. I will update this review as I break the shoes in more. But I suspect the shoes are too small, even though, like I said, they were extremely comfortable in the store. They are very disappointing overall considering their considerable cost.

Overall I'm not very satisfied with the shoe. I wouldn't buy again if I had to do over. It's very wide in the lace area and needs to be tied up very tightly. This causes an odd fit and isn't very comfortable. I've worn for about 4 weeks now and I don't think it's going to hold up all that well.

Not Your Father's ECCO -
I've had 5 pairs of ECCO and am getting ready to replace the pair that I purchased last year. Alas, I'll be getting another brand. The first three pairs that I purchased were made in Europe and wore like iron. The last two pairs have ripped at the toe and lasted less than one year. I suspected that something was up, so I contacted ECCO and they confirmed that the shoes are now made elsewhere. They are also not made to ECCO's previous standards. It's true that they are comfortable, and I wish that I could recommend them. My last two pairs, however, just haven't lasted. Too bad...

Not like they were-
I bought a pair of these shoes (in brown) about 10 years ago and still wear them. They're about the most comfortable shoe I've ever owned. I wanted a pair in black and spoke with the Zappos sales guy. He indicated that Ecco shoes run wide and the "medium" should fit my wide foot (7-1/2 EEEE). I got them right away (thanks to Zappos' fine shipping organization) and tried them but they are entirely too narrow for my foot. I think Ecco "medium" means medium. Too bad because the shoe sure looks good.

Not happy with this shoes -
I always bought ecco cross shoes for me and my husband to use at work. I would always buy them and dillards, this time I bought the Ecco Seawalkers for my husband to use at work and now he says they are the most uncomfortable pair of shoes he has ever worn, and he will not be using them again because he works 14 hour days and he simply cannot afford to have uncomfortable shoes while working.

Poorly constructed. After a few months of normal wear (not daily), the stitching on the toes began to unravel and the seams loosened, ultimately separating and exposing my sock/toe.

My husband had these shoes for just a little under six months and they have been worn only occasionally-I would guess less than 15 times and as another reviewer mentioned, the sole is pulling apart. Obviously a design flaw or inferior material being used. This is unacceptable for an expensive shoelike the Ecco SeaWalker.
