Superbly comfortable shoe
You can wear this shoe all day long without discomfort. It wears very well and feels great! Be careful about the sizing as European sizes may be off relative to US sizes. I found their 44 (supposed to be a US 10 which is what I wear) was too big but the 43 fit just fine.

Am buying a currently produced Seawalker with the touted "TPU" marking on the sole. TPU is supposed to indicate that the sole is of a better composition than the ones that shred. They're a great looking shoe with metal eyelets, instead of the stupid little ribbon lace holders of many shoes. The inside where it meets the heel is decently sewn leather, instead of cheap cloth. I will wear them everywhere before our European trip and give them every chance to fall apart. The experiences I am reading of perhaps 10% of owners will have me walking on eggshells (hence the four stars). Am keeping a pair of beat-up European-made shoes as a backup.

Very comfortable shoe. These are my go-to shoes for travel and to dress up my jeans. Back in 2007 a pair of these were the only shoes I took on a 2 week trip to Europe. They were comfortable, even after spending all day on my feet walking around Paris. That pair has held up well, and I still have them. I wasn't sure that Ecco still made this style as they are not available in my local stores. Very happy to find them on Zappos, so now I have them in 2 colors.

Shoe seems to fit well and comfortably, according to specified size. Color of shoe is not the same as the photo--it is less rust, more brown.

These seem really nice to me. I bought them for my husband and back they must go. He wouldn't even try them on. Something about the way they look deters him. He likes his shoes to be a bit more rugged. He only has one pair of shoes at a time. These seem very well made and are likely to be comfortable. I recommend ordering them.

Very comfortable right out of the box, no break in required. Light in weight and with a slim, clean style, not at all chunky. Nice clean lines. But quality control could be better. It took me three tries to get a pair where both insoles lay flat. And every pair had a seam at the front and back of the sole. Zappos handled the problems quite professionally.

This is a great shoe, no doubt. I had the same shoe for about 7 years before it looked so tattered that it was time for them to go.
These are very comfortable, great for all-day walking, and durable.
My only quibble is that this new pair does fit a little more snug than my previous pair, even though the size is the same. Maybe my feet have gotten a little chubbier, I'm not sure. Mostly, they feel a little tighter on top than expected. But they are awesome anyway. No regrets.

Nice looking shoe. Seem to be true to size. Purchased for my 97 year old father, and they are kind to his feet. As usual, Zappos makes purchasing a breeze!

The SeaWalker is a very good item. Walked many miles in Petra Jordan last week. The sizing info on your web site stated that size 43 was for 9 to 9 and one half; previous buys of Ecco shoes stated that 42 size was for size 9. So the size 43 was a little loose, but still comfortable enough to make me a happy traveler.

Very Good Shoes, Overall -
These are very comfortable shoes, but make sure you get the right size. They come in European sizes. For example, my European size 43 approximately matches my U.S. size of 9 1/2 (but U.S. size 9 1/2 seems to between European sizes 43 and 44). ECCOs are very high quality and last a long time (makes it easier to justify paying the relatively high prices).
I'd also recommend:
Other ECCOs. Their heavier shoes, with more of a cleat style sole (rather than quite flat), are great for winter.

Not quite as comfortable as hoped.
Hoping that these would be my ONE pair of shoes for my ever so hard to please bunions. Fairly comfortable out of the box. Felt a little more narrow than I had hoped. Hoping that with a little more break in time, they will be good to go. Shoes came quickly and returning alt. size a breeze.

I like the shoe, but I would like the back and sides of the shoe a little higher.

Third pair of Eccos -
This shoe was worn by my husband for two years now. He has got his money's worth. I just wanted to report that the black dye of the leather has worn off so much that it looks quite worn out. He never had this problem with the brown Track model pairs he had previously. He is telling me to order the fourth pair of Eccos now. It happens every two - four years it seems. For a guy who is always on his feet in manufacturing plants and walking much...they are worth every penny!

This is a very comfortable shoe--one of the best I've ever had. The size is off a little but it's not enough to be a problem.

Not good value -
Heel area too narrow. I have owned Rockports for many years but decided to try the much touted ECCO. Did not feel comfortable out of the box, the heel area is too narrow and the front section felt "raised up". Just received a new pair of Rockport’s from ZAPPOS and the shoes feel great out of the box. Wonderful, I just saved $60 and now have the piece of mind that I don't need to spend more for a great shoe.

Comfortable Casual shoe -
Very comfortable shoe with moderate arch support. Arch support was adequate. Very light. Very good for all day wear. More comfortable than stylish in Nubuck leather. High quality leather in and out. Laces look old school. Wide toe box narrow heel. Be careful with European sizing since it does not translate into our known US sizing. I wear US 12 and Ecco size choices are either 11-11 1/2 or 12-12 1/2. This style looks best in Nubuck.

Ecco SeaWalker-
Most comfortable shoe I have ever worn! I started wearing them after my knee operation and now I can't put anything else on my feet. I recommend this shoe for anyone who spends time on their feet. Zappos is great to I ordered them on a Monday and received them before the week was over.

New Style Ecco For Me -
Excellent looks, excellent quality. I have worn the City Walker for several years. When that model was no longer available, I looked at other styles and settled on the Sea Walker Tie.
The only problem I experience was at first, the right foot seemed to pinch at the widest point on the outside (behind little toe). I first thought that I would have to return the shoes although the next size larger was too loose on the left foot. I wore the shoes around the house on carpet for two or three days and the discomfort slowly began to lessen. I believe the problem is in the seam between the top part and the edge part of the upper. I now find that I can wear the shoe all day without problems. The looks and feel of the shoe is certainly up to Ecco standards and I would recommend the shoe to anyone.

My only regret is the lacing on the shoe has broken away (that's in the front of shoe) I love this shoe, thinking in buying another pair.

Very comfortable shoes -
I've owned 3 pairs of the Cross model, and have 2 pairs (Black & coffee) right now of the SeaWalker Tie. I'm in these shoes for 12-16 hours a day and used to go through a pair of "value priced" shoes every 4-6 months. Each of the Cross models lasted in the neighborhood of 3 years apiece and since switching to Eccos, have never again experienced tired, sore feet! The Cross models required NO breaking time, while the SeaWalker's took about one week, but since have been fabulous.
My only concern is that with the Coffee SeaWalkers, I just had the leather separate from the sole on the outside part of the shoe. I've had them for almost a year now and can't find a receipt from the local store where I purchased them. Quite honestly, I never though I would ever need it for shoes of this quality. They had me contact Ecco directly and Ecco is now allowed me to send them in so they can evaluate them. Time will tell what happens with happens with this one pair, but regardless of what Ecco may or may not be able to do for me, I will still continue purchasing Eccos. I can't afford not to treat my feet to them.
