This shoe is incredibly comfortable! However, I'm returning because it just doesn't look great. The previous review describing it as a 'founding fathers' look is spot on and I don't even have big feet. I planned to wear these w/skinny jeans, so the shoe would be fully visible. Maybe it would look nicer with wide slacks. I give 5 stars for comfort and roomy width!

Excellent booties. Perfect heel height and classy black suede. They are extremely comfortable. The only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is after 6 months of wear the heel is crumbling a bit. Otherwise excellent bootie.

I bought these, on impulse, with some upcoming business travel. They're comfortable for jogging through airports, and all-day wear, with excellent quality leather. There's some slight padding in the heel and arch. I'm a bike commuter, and I'll even wear them while riding. I'm also clumsy and have rolled my ankle a few times, but this might not happen with others who are used to a slight heel and all-leather uppers. After years of buying cheaper chelsea boots (for 25% of the price of these boots), I'm glad to have a pair that will hopefully last more than a season. They're in great shape so far. I don't like the leather tassel on the zipper, but otherwise, great boots. I bought a 7.5 and they felt true to size.

Love these boots! Very comfortable and sporty, dressing up with a skirt and tights, or dressing down with faded jeans. Warm too! Would definitely buy them again...and in another color too!

This boot was very comfortable with great arch support. I returned it due to the heel. Others had reviewed it and said that the outer covering of the heel was poor construction. I must agree. It appeared to be glued on and looked as if it would peel off easily if it got wet.

Bought for our long-planned trip to Paris, so ordered early in case I needed to return/exchange. They felt perfect the first time I put them on, so I didn't try to "break them in." Spent 10 days walking all over Paris in slightly damp weather and never once wished I had anything else on my feet. Love my new boots!

Not the light color gray as shown. They are medium to dark gray. The boots are comfortable. Unfortunately,they dont go up as high around ankle as I hoped. Still deciding.

I wasn't a fan of the leather finish and I need to go down a half size in the wide width. Other than that, very comfortable and cute.

Very comfortable, easy to wear first time on foot. The toe was a little more pointy than I normally like, so they look more like a cowboy-type boot, but I really wanted something for comfort and these fit the bill!

I have a very hard foot to fit . It is extra wide with bunions and I work on my feet a lot. After one wearing I am able to wear this boot all day long.It looks great with leggings and with jeans.

I have very strange feet with bunions. I am quite pleased with these and broke them in last week walking all around Paris!

I was looking for a bootie to wear for work, but that I would also be comfortable in if I needed to walk to work in them. I wear a 9 and have a wide foot, so in a sneaker, I order a 2E. I always have issues finding comfortable, supportive and stylish work shoes. I ordered a 9WW (E) in the black/croco leather. I did also see the little white paint on the heel, but it can easily be scraped off. The heel of the boot didn't seem to be as well made as other brands, but I did find them comfortable. I would have considered trying an 8.5 WW or 8.5W since my foot felt a little like it was swimming in the shoe (which is an unusual feeling for me!). I decided on the Naturalizer Zarie (similar style) instead since it fit my foot a bit better. I have found that the WW in Softwalk is sometimes too big for me. If I had more time, I would have tried other sizes since it seemed very comfortable, but for now I sent this one back. In the future I may try one of the tan/brown booties for a more casual look!

I am so sad to have to send these back. They looked so cool, I was worried they would look too "country/ cowboy" but they are super chic! My problem was that although they are WW /EE they fit too snug for my feet. The shaft was rubbing on my ankles as well. Thank you Zappos for letting me try these on , I need wider booties I guess.

I got the cognac color and in person, they are a beautiful dark honey color with a muted "wrinkle" effect. (No paint on mine, just soft leather and a beautiful wood-look heel.) The 6 wide was true to size on me. They didn't require any break-in time with ankle-length jeans and a no-show sock though I could see the front top irritating a bare leg or thicker ankle. I received many compliments and nobody could believe they were a wide-width comfort shoe when I told them. Very trendy right now but they also have a timeless look. I agree with another reviewer who said the rubber on the bottom sole immediately wears down a bit. I hope this does not continue because I love the look and comfort so much and for the price, I expect a quality shoe.

Since I have short, wide feet with a high instep, it's very rare for shoes to feel comfortable right out of the box, but I wore these for several hours with no discomfort the very first day, and had no break-in period since. They are cute; I liked the Sam Edelman Petty too but these were more comfortable. I wish the toe were not quite so rounded and the soles were not a different color.

My fussy feet liked this comfortable bootie. I didn't keep the shoes because I wanted booties to wear with a skirt or dress. I think these booties are best with pants. Also I have slim ankles and the ankle opening of these is waaaaay too wide for me.

Runs a bit large. I am normally a size 11 and this 10.5 fit perfectly. The boot was comfortable, but absolutely plain, so I returned.

So soft and so comfortable, the uppers are really lovely, both soft and thick, the insoles are well padded, the soles are flexible, and the heel is a perfect height. I feel like I could walk for miles in these things! Unfortunately the rounded toe makes what would otherwise be a 10/10 boot a little dowdy and unstylish. The leather is also a little crinkly and cheap looking.

Very comfortable and supportive. Also very cute! Didn't need to break them in. Back trim rubbed a bit above my ankle but obviously not a problem when written with long pants/socks. After a long day of waking the balls of my feet did seem a little sore the next day but otherwise one of the most comfortable pair of shoes!

Very comfortable boot. Nice color and style. Just a bit too conservative and not fashion forward enough for me. Had no issues with white on edges of heel.

These are super cute but they did not fit. The wide was not wide enough with thicker socks and with thin socks they were too loose around the heels and ankles (I have big ankles, too). The animal print has a real look to it and the black leather was nice. Try it - If it fits, it is a winner. I am bummed.

Lovely bootie, but not great for chunky ankles. Size 11N was true, although heel was very roomy. Would love to love 'em, but sending back.
