Finally found a size that fits! Thank you

I have worn Brooks for quite a while now and mostly like the Ghost. I haven't tried the Ghost Max before so thought I would give it a try. They are super comfortable and a great walking shoe. They have a bit of a "rocker" style sole which feels different than regular Brooks Ghost. Only took a few minutes to get used to that difference. I have been walking in them every day for about a month and they are still very comfortable. I would say they are true to size and width. I ordered the same size I typically order in a Brooks shoe.

TTS, not a ton od support so not for high arches unless you plan to use external inserts.

Good fit and the EE width is very wide, which is unusual in women's shoes. It's annoying that the EE width only comes in black. In other widths, there are 12 other colors. It's a popular shoe, so surely they could give us more than one choice.

It is nice to have a few shoes that have maximum cushioning and are extra wide but it would be nice to have them in at least a few more color combinations. They appear to sell out so why not offer more alternatives? I have multiple pairs of the predecessor of this shoe and they are very comfortable but require swapping out the lightweight insole with a harder, more rigid insole, reinforcement underneath the mesh upper and longer laces. Those add about $50 to the cost of these shoes. They are expensive and last, in rotation with multiple similar pairs, about a year. They do keep my feet and joints in good shape over 50 miles or more a week.

I should have taken the advice and ordered a half size bigger. 8D was touching my big toe, width was good.

Unusually for a women's shoe, it has plenty of toe room but still fits snug around the heel. I downgraded it because the tongue does not stay in place, a defect with all my Brooks shoes. I've knotted the laces around the two loops on the tongue but it still slides off center. Other than that, it is very comfortable.

I usually take a narrow but they're hard to find so I ordered a regular. Too wide.

I'm still debating whether to keep these. The fit is decent, but I’d definitely recommend following the advice to size up by half a size. I ordered a 6 wide (my usual size is 5.5, though my width varies by brand). Initially, I was worried about the tongue being too big and causing irritation while walking, but thankfully, that wasn’t an issue. My main concern is that the shoes feel a smidge too small when worn with my usual socks (Bombas Originals, medium cushioning). The sock seams press into my feet, making them slightly uncomfortable. However, they work well with lightweight socks. I want these to work, but still undecided on whether to keep them!
