A note on the description of the Uggs: the laces are for looks only. I received the boots yesterday and was disappointed to find that I cannot tighten the boots to keep the snow/slush out. Granted, these aren't my bad weather boots (those have serious treads and come up to my knees), but I think this could be a reason to consider the UGG Adirondack over the Newberry, even though the Newberry is so cute! On the sizing, I'm an 8.5 in dress shoes/9 in pointy shoes and sport-style shoes/9.5 in running shoes. I ordered the 9 in these (which is my usual UGG size). I'm glad I did because, as the description notes, there isn't any fur below the ankle. If you're going to wear these in legitimately cold weather, you might consider getting these large enough to wear warm socks without feeling like your toes are jammed in the end of the toe box. Also, and I know this is picky considering the typical Ugg fit, I wish there were arch support. If I do keep these (I'm still debating about the laces problem), I will put Aetrex shearling insoles in them.

Love these boots, but they do seem to run a half size small. Uggs always start out snug, but these don't have the shearling in the toe box that would compress and make some room. I'm exchanging for a half size larger than I usually wear.

I have had these boots since November and I am so happy I invested in them! I tried less expensive boots but they were heavy, stiff, and uncomfortable. These boots are lightweight, flexible, so comfortable and they keep my feet warm and dry. The tread is great and keeps me from slip sliding around on icy walks and parking lots. Do yourself a favor if you deal with a damp, cold, wet and/or snowy climate and get these boots!

These boots are the best! Wore them in our first snow here on the East Coast this year, and loved them. They are warm, cozy, comfy, they have great traction, and they are just adorable. They fit true to size, and easy on and off, with the side zipper. Also Zappos is the absolute best website on the net! Love them!

Extremely cute and comfortable wet-weather boot, nice color (Stout) and enough room inside for my wide-ish feet. Not sure they're for the coldest weather, but I got them more for rain and slush than for heavy snow. A nice addition to the Ugg line.
