I first saw this watch on another website and I ordered it. They took forever to get it packed and it wasn't going to make it here on time. I checked on Zappos and fortunately they had it. I always know I can count on Zappos to get it here fast! It made it in plenty of time.

This is a great basic heart rate monitor. The belt is super comfortable and does not feel like it is on. The watch is pretty easy to set up and use. I have no complaints about this HRM and would recommend it to others. The face of the watch is sort of big for my wrist, but the wrist belt does fit. It's awesome to see the burned calories add up!

Good watch if you\'re looking for basic heartrate monitor functionality. The monitor and the watch are lightweight and comfortable. However, the documentation and instructions on how to use the watch were insufficient. Although I finally figured out how to use all the features, it took a few tries and around two weeks for some of the more advanced functions.

This is a great addition to your Suunto heart rate monitor. It is very easy to set up and easier to use. It stays in contact with your monitor at all times. The provided handlebar mount works well. I would imagine it could flex to fit almost any handlebar.

This watch does it all. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the watch band looks cheap and the barometer takes the temp of my body heat vs the surrounding temp. It is noted in the instructions of the temp correction. I believe I might retire my Luminox, and I love my Luminox because of the features the Core has.

Great watch! Does everything that it claims - one of the better heart rate monitors that also can be worn daily due to its nice appearance. Learning curve to get used to the complexity was a little longer than I thought it would be (read the user guide!) but after a few days/training sessions it becomes second nature.

Less is more. The T3c is replacing my old T3 which had a critical failure of its water resistance... This newer model is preferred primarily because of the simpler watch face and option of having a dark display. Watch face is easily scratched. This is a very light watch and low-profile to your wrist. Be prepared to buy a second wristband. The feature set offered is impressive and after some tinkering you will learn to love this watch... if you are patient enough to read your manuals and the Suunto website message boards to help you with the quirks. I use the watch for running and cycling (I have a GPS pod) and love the calorie and "training effect" stats provided.

Suunto PC Pod

Tiny, expensive, but you need it - If you've invested any amount of money into a compatible Suunto watch + heart rate monitor/foot pod/gps pod/bike pod/etc... then you really have to get this item. Viewing your workout data on the watch is kind of futile, and the software and data analysis included with the PC pod are awesome for tracking and improving your workouts. My only gripe is that it's pricey and it's tiny!

Primarily for runners? I bought this for my husband for Christmas and he isn't that thrilled with it - maybe my fault but from all the reviews it sounded like something that one could use to gauge workouts at the gym. He isn't that thrilled with it - says it monitors the heart etc but seems to be primarily designed for runners - not fitness workouts.

T3C - This watch is a great training tool. It gives great info. It could use a pace setting for running. But it does give me a lot of information. The watch fits great. Light and slim. I can hardly notice it. A bit pricey on accessories i.e. pc pod. But viewing all training logs is simple and very informative.

Wonderful product! The Suunto T1 is the perfect heart rate monitor for use during any kind of workout activity. It is easy to use and tracks heart rate and calories burned. This is the first watch of this type that I have ever purchased. I have been able to monitor that I am efficiently working out since the watch will alert me when working out below my HR minimum and above HR maximum levels. The watch is very light in weight and overall nice in appearance. I use it when jogging, walking, spinning, or weight training. I recommend this product to anyone interested in tracking their heart rate and calories burned while working out. Finally, it is affordable and the user can change the battery (no need to return to the manufacturer for this service.

This is my first heart monitor watch, so consider that with this review. However, I run 5-6 days a week. I love this watch and all of its capabilities. There are two work-out modes that give you different information, depending on what you want to view while on the move. I have the foot pod, which is awesome, as you don't even feel it on your shoe. I wear this watch even when I'm not running. The "training effect" function is helpful in helping you form your workouts. The watch is user friendly, once you get past the initial learning curve. I'm not much of a manual reader, but had to read it for this, and it really is worth the read so you can get the most out of the watch. The comfort strap on the heart monitor is comfortable and doesn't move even once you start sweating. I couldn't recommend it any higher. In fact, I'm looking at purchasing another one for my wife.

Worth it - This is a fantastic asset to my workouts. It is hard to set up and figure out the different functions, but once done it is worth the trouble. It is easy to read and the heart rate band is very comfortable.

About Suunto

Suunto Suunto was founded in 1936 by outdoors man and a keen orienteering enthusiast Tuomas Vohlonen, who had long been bothered by a problem: the inaccuracy of traditional dry compasses and their lack of steady needle operation. Being an engineer with an inventive turn of mind, he discovered and patented the production method for a much steadier needle, better readings and a new level of accuracy. By 1950 the company was exporting compasses to over 50 countries around the world, including Canada and the United States. In 1952 Helsinki was hosting the Olympic Games, and the torches carried to light the Olympic flame were Suunto products.

Recent Suunto innovations include the world’s smallest and lightest GPS unit, the first dive computer with a digital compass, heart rate monitors with Training Effect, and the first wristop launch monitor for feeling and repeating the perfect golf swing.

Today, Suunto is a leading designer and manufacturer of sports instruments for training, diving, mountaineering, hiking, skiing, sailing and golf. True to its roots, Suunto is today the world's biggest compass manufacturer. Prized for their design, accuracy and dependability, Suunto sports instruments combine the aesthetics and functionality of watches with sport-specific computers that help athletes at all levels analyze and improve performance.
