Like the boot. Gave a try in NYC walking the city in the rain. Comfortable and waterproof. They are a little roomy but I did not wear thick socks. When the temp drops I would wear heavier socks and the fit will be right.

I love these boots! I have worn them twice on chilly New England fall days and have gotten compliments every time. Someone even spotted them in my boot tray by my door and gushed over them - the grey and brown color combination is just what I wanted. I have athletic calves(OK, some might call them wide)and wear a size 6.5 which means that most boots are too snug in the calf area. These fit perfectly over both leggings and skinny jeans and are so comfortable. I had originally looked at the slimpack riding boot but liked the clean lines and functional nature of these better. I am generally a 6.5 and these fit perfectly with Smartwool socks underneath. I do need unzip them to get them on but can pull them off easily.

These boots really look great! have very smalls calves and found the calf area to be a bit too big. I bought my regular size and with a pair of winter socks- they will fit perfectly. Did I mention that they look great? And Zappos shipped them to me right away.

I got these boots a half size smaller after reading the reviews but I think getting my true size would've been better. Otherwise, I totally love these boots. They're both dressy and casual. I've gotten a lot of compliments on them. I just have to exchange for the right size.

These are beautiful boots. I purchased Nutmeg/Coffee. They are not heavily lined so they will not be great for extreme weather without socks I have larger calves. They do fit over my jeans but just barely. I purchased 1/2 size larger based on other recommendations and that seems to be great if I'm going to put socks underneath. I'm still debating on keeping them but am very sad about the fit over my calves.

Got these to be winter boots but it has not snowed yet this year. However, they do make an excellent more stylish rain boot. They seem warm, although not sure if warm enough for the harsh upstate NY winter. They are comfortable in general but they are slightly too big so when walking down large hills my toes get a little squished. I would recommend getting a half size smaller.

Love the quality and the way these boots look. But the name slimboot is misleading. The ankle and calf are way too wide for my average build. The top of the boot fit more like rainboots with over a two inch gap. Sadly I am returning these boots.

Boots look really great and seem to be good quality material. I bought these a whole size smaller and they are still way too big. I am 5 ft tall 100lb and normally wear a sz 7. A sz 6 was very wide in the calf (I could fit my fist in extra space) and still loose at the ankle. Maybe just not a good boot for short legged people. I would definitely recommend ordering a half or whole size down from normal size. Alpine tundra doesnt have as much grey as I thought they would, looks more dark brown. As far as the look goes I would highly recommend. I really wished these fit!

I love these boots but the sizing is a little funny. I usually wear an 8.5 or 9 depending on the shoe (I have wide feet). I ordered an 8.5. It is hard to get my foot inside the boot but once in there is a lot of extra room. If I ordered an 8 the boot would not fit on my calves. I put an insole inside the shoe and with thick socks its fine. For the cost I wanted these to fit perfectly, but they were exactly what I was looking for so I kept them. I have worn them twice in the rain and my feet have stayed dry. I am a little concerned about them lasting based on some other reviews, but overall I am happy. I have been thinking about buying these for a while now and am happy I did. I wanted a boot that would work in the fall/spring, but I think with some thick socks they will be ok in winter too.

The stratus/quarry colorway is a few shades lighter than the pictures show. At least my pair arrived much more "camel" that I was hoping for. Besides not being the perfect color, these boots are amazing! Very comfy, warm, good traction, and the shaft fits over a muscular calf. Fashion & function.. Sorel has done it again!

I absolutely LOVE these boots, I wore them ALL day straight out the box to work and I'm a teacher so I'm on my feet all day, and they were so comfortable and warm. My feet didn't hurt at all, I walked in the snow and water with them and they stayed dry and warm, they are waterproof, stylish, comfortable, and made extremely well. I listened to some of the reviews though and I ordered a half size up, and I wish I would have just ordered my regular size 8. If I wear wool socks with them they fit quite well though. I haven't slipped at all in these boots! They are pretty big and clunky though, so they are definitely not for tiptoeing around. Overall I highly recommend these boots, they are stylish and functional, I have found that most women's boots don't have both of those aspects!

I first ordered these in a 10 because others said they fit large and I range between a 10 and 11, depending who's manufacturing the shoe. The 10 fit fine standing but my foot slid to hit the toe box when I walked. They fit wide. I reordered them in a 10 1/2 and they are the right fit. Still wide in the foot but great for the dog park. Mud wipes right off!

I loved the boots unfortunately mine were damaged so I had to return them. The calf was wide. The color was great, and they are a fun style.

Because they are a boot, I sized up to an 8.5 (normally wear an 8 in Born, and New Balance). I got this and the slim riding boot to try. This was by far a better fit, and more comfortable. I love the look of this boot. It's functional and great looking, and with thick socks - does a great job to keep me out of the elements and keep my toes warm!

Let me preface by saying I'm a guy who can pull off lady boots. Men boots suck. Anyway, the photo of these really isn't so accurate. I purchased both the Sorel Slimboots and the Slimpack Riding boots and ultimately decided on the Slimpacks. The Slimboots actually aren't slim at all. They really flare out at the top quite a bit. I'm a triathlete with fairly muscular calves but I was absolutely swimming in these. Too bad! I love the duotone look of these boots, but they just didn't work. If you are looking for a boot that hugs your calves, maybe try the Slimpack Riders.

Normally a size 5, and I got this in 5.5 - it runs quite large - my calves are swimming in them, and it's really loose all over my foot by about half an inch that it would just flop around and probably would fall of if I'm not careful. I tried it on with thick winter socks, though, and it magically fit quite well. I kept it, with all the intention of using it as a winter boot. This will be a nice change from the current Eskimo boots I have that I mainly use for shoveling - I wanted something of similar heavy-duty, but one I could use plodding through my office parking lot with style.

Everyone on here says that they are snug. I bought a 7 and had to return for a 6½ which is my size and they are very loose. I love them and they are comfortable so I am keeping them. I do not like thick socks but I will definitely have to wear them with these boots.

Super cute, comfortable boot. I get tons of compliments. I found them to be a little big, but I wear thick boot socks with them, and they fit great! The best for hockey moms in Minnesota!

I received these as a replacement for my slimpack riding boots (which cracked). I love the look of these boots, but I wouldn't call them waterproof. I used them to commute in the Chicago winter and they often left me with wet feet. These boots have a zipper on the inside of the shoe by the arch of your foot that, in my experience, let in a lot of slush and water.

I loved these boots but they were huge. I am a perfect size 7 1/2 but these boots felt like an 8 1/2. I tried to exchange for a 7 but that was not an option. Very disappointed I have to send them back. Someone obviously mis-sized these boots. No way they were a 7 1/2.

I love the boots and have been wearing them nearly every day, but I was a little disappointed to realize this week that the shafts on one is about a 1/4-1/5 inch taller than the other. It might seem like a minor issue, but it's one of those things that I can't stop thinking about everytime I wear them now. For such expensive boots, it's kind of a bummer that this kind of defect passed inspection.

I love the way these boots look, but the heel was higher than I anticipated, and my foot slipped around, even when I wore different size socks. I returned them.

I was so very disappointed with this boot. I debated spending so much money and finally gave in. When they arrived, I was surprised at how small they looked in the box. I am a true size 8 and have fairly wide calves, but not so bad that I need wide width boots all of the time. These are advertised at 15.5 inch shaft. Not a chance! I couldn't even get them half way up. So disappointed, and frustrated. They went back.

I was really excited about these boots, but I think calling them a "Slimboot" is misleading. They were comfortable enough and appeared to be what I was looking for, but after trying them out, something just was not working for me. I realized that these are quite big and bulky boots and I was looking for something more fitted. I returned these and ended up spending more to get the Ariat Stantons and am so glad that I did. They are more fitted, but also more comfortable than the Sorels.

Well, I wanted to love these boots a lot, I even thought I experienced a defect so exchanged them for another pair but the same thing happened; around the toe box became delaminated and water was able to come in. I also experienced the stitching coming undone around the zipper. I love the way these look, and I love Zappos' customer service support (they will honor Sorel's warranty and give you a refund!) but these boots turned out not to meet my expectations. If I'm spending this much money I want a pair of boots that will last multiple seasons and be comfortable. These didn't do either.
