I loved these boots the minute I saw them. But the foot of the boot felt larger than my normal size, and be warned, the shaft is very narrow. I had to send them back. I never had any problems with Ariats before, but they missed the mark on these. Even if they are beautiful and I sure hated to send them back. Problem is, they are only beautiful if they can actually be used. For me, they could not.

These boots are amazingly beautiful, well made, and comfortable. The leather is so fine that they will not require a painful break-in period. I absolutely love them! I believe most people, especially those with narrow or average width feet, would do well to order a half size smaller. I have slightly high arches which makes my foot a little wider at the toes, but these boots do not put any pressure on my toes and offer reasonable arch support. The shaft is taller and a little more narrow than a usual western boot and looks very feminine, but ladies should pay attention to the circumference measurement to be sure they will fit their calves. Also, the distressing technique used on this leather means that you cannot use typical boot treatments, and the embroidery makes it impossible to apply anything anyway. Be careful if you have dogs that might scratch up the leather. And keep in mind that these have a leather sole and can be resoled by a cobbler, but are pretty slippery on carpet when you first try them on. :)
