I am 5' 9", weigh 135 lbs. and need a 33" inseam to wear with sneakers. I consider myself a true size 8, but these pants fit me in a size 6. The inseam is 33" (perfect with my sneakers) and the waist fits without pulling the drawstring. The fit through the legs is relaxed and the seams are nice and flat (no puckering). I bought these for travel, as I want pants that will wash easily and dry quickly. I think they'll work nicely!

Very disappointed with these pants. I swear after one wash and no drying, they shrunk in length by an inch. This fabric shouldn't shrink. I know I wouldn't have kept them if they would have had their current length out of the box. Such a bummer. They are really comfy.

Not sure why Zappos is charging this much when the tag on the pants has a SRP of less. Identical pair in different color were the correct length in a regular but in this color I need a short.

True to size. Great fit! I am 5'3" 135 lbs and a true size 8 (size 6 in curvy or relaxed fit pants). These pants fit better than any hiking style pants I have ever tried. The drawstring is a nice addition but the waist is not over large (with a small waist I sometimes have an issue with pants fitting me in the hips but being too big in the waist - not the case with these). I highly recommend these hiking pants.

I'm 5ft and these pants, even the short length, are still a little too long, but I'm going to make them work. Overall, comfy and lightweight. I wish the legs were a little less baggy. Lots of pocket space to work with and the roll up legs are a nice feature.

I live in jeans, but for travel to tropical places, they aren't exactly the most practical option. These are ideal, so I now have 5 pairs. They fit nicely, are light weight and wash in the sink/dry over night like a dream (even in very humid conditions). The packability, versatility of wearing rolled up and available short inseam makes these a huge winner in my book. The belt/loop detail makes them a little more feminine and the roll-up system is brilliant (no button to catch on things when at full length!). My only suggestion for improvement would be to make the zip pocket a tiny bit bigger to fit a phone. It's in no way a big problem because the regular hand pockets work for that, I just like the security of being able to use a zip pocket when traveling. Otherwise, please stock them in black!

Just what I was looking for - a trim fitting hiking pant in long length. Live and work in a tropical climate and will wear these often.

Loved these so much I got them in a second color. I wear them around the house, hiking, running, camping, and took them on a mission trip to Honduras. Extremely comfortable and they look nice for a hiking pant.

I love these pants! I had them in size 4 and loved them so much, I had to order another pair in a smaller size after losing some weight. They are lightweight and comfortable. As convertibles, it's nice that they roll up (rather than zip off) so there is no zipper to mar the pants the rest of the time.

These pants are the best. They're true to size, comfortable, and perfect for hiking or anything else outdoors. I'm 5"10" and the long size 10 was the perfect length. No hemming needed.

I love these pants. They are lightweight and fit perfectly. It is wonderful to find pants that come in short so I don't need to alter. I use them for travel and around town. They dry quickly. If the weather is warm, I use the rollup feature. I like these so much I purchased more in other colors in the pants and also purchased the same style in shorts.

I just received these and returned the Horizon Tempest pants. The Horizon Tempest are a little more restricting in the thigh and seemed like they might be uncomfortable hiking up hills, though fine for city walking. The Horizon II are a little roomier and possibly a little more giving. My usual size (8) fit perfectly in a 30" inseam. In case it helps anyone, I'm 5'5" with a smaller waist and bigger hips and thighs. Most of the hiking pants I tried on were too big in the waist, and had too short a rise, but these seem perfect.

Ordered a size 10 long and they fit perfect. They are soft and comfortable. I am ordering a second pair for a mission trip. Love the draw sting, no need to pack a belt. I like the roll up feature better than zipper short options, because it is easier to roll up while on the go and/or with hiking boots on.

Great for outdoor activity. Dries fast. I have a small waist and larger thighs and these still for well. Tight right after the dryer, but become relaxed and comfy soon. I hiked the redwoods in these for three days and I was glad I bought them.

The pants fit great, although the legs are a bit baggier than I like. However, they will fit nicely over hiking shoes. The color is really cool looking and I received compliments on the pants. I have this same style in shorts and in every color offered I west them all the time.

These are great hiking/field pants! I wore these every day for almost two weeks during my biology field work. They are durable yet light weight and breathable. I could wash them in the evening if needed and they would be dry and ready for another wear a the next morning. I ordered the long inseam in my usual size and returned them for the next size up.

I got this in brown and black in 0S. I'm 5'2" and the short inseam is perfect to wear with sneakers. Comfortable and seems to be durable. Love it!

I'm 5'4, weigh 130lb. I ordered 8 Short. They are a good fit. Just right on the length. I usually wear a size 6 but I wanted them a little baggy. They fit just like a size 6. Lucky I didn't order my regular size 6 or they would be a little too tight around the waist. These pants roll up but the inside fabric is a little too shiny for my style, So I will not be wearing them as capri pants. They are pretty thin so I'll take them on trips with me! Its a good buy. Zappos is great on returning items if you have a problem with the fit! Thank you Zappos!

Really like the look of these pants, but I needed a larger size. I read reviews about them fitting large, so I tried a 6 and 8. Turns out I needed a 10. I'm 5'7" and very pear shaped. The 8 fit my smaller waist, but I needed the 10 for my larger thighs and behind. I didn't exchange for the 10 because these pants had no stretch and were a little too plastic feeling. I was shopping for a comfortable, lightweight hiking pant for Costa Rica and beyond and decided the stretch was a necessary feature. I ended up keeping the Columbia Anytime Outdoor Full Leg Pant.

Great cut and flattering, rugged, light and maneuverable- but see through. Boo! That's a deal breaker. I'm returning.

I purchased these in a local store in the same size, regular length. I found out they came in Long & was excited when I found the long on your Site. However, upon opening, trying on & measuring today, it's evident the pant I received is mismatched, as they are actually an inch shorter than the Regular length I already purchased. Very disappointed!

I'm 5'6" waist 27 hip 36 and I ordered these in a zero long, but they are anything but. They are labeled as relaxed fit, but I was swimming in them. Furthermore the inseam on the long is 29". Who decided that was considered long? These pants are on the way back. They look good, but they just don't fit the way they should.

If you are petite, these pants are not for you! I wanted light-weight yet durable pants for hiking and climbing. I ordered these because they were one of the few styles available in a size 0 and 29" inseam. Usually, I have found The North Face clothing to run true to size, but these pants are huge! They are extremely baggy everywhere: waist, crotch, butt, legs. Also, the front pockets are horribly awkward, positioned too high and too front-facing. You cannot comfortably put your hands inside the pockets. I am returning these because the size 0 fits like a size 4.

I liked the old style of this pant. It provided a much better fit than the updated version, which I am returning.
