Cool look, but not comfortable enough for me. As you see in the picture there are 2 elastic stretch points on the upper. They're there to help the upper fit to the top of you foot. What they did for me was create spots for irritation and chaffing.

Bought them put them away until my Ecco sandals could no longer be of use. Finally got them out to walk them about. These sandals feel like I have two wooden blocks strapped to my feet.

Unlike older Merrells, like the Mantra Slides from 2006, these are garbage! Do not buy any Merrell shoes unless you like flimsy soles with no support! Worse yet, these particular sandals, the top of the sole is not leather anymore. It is a cloth that works loose. In 6 months to a year, it will wrinkle up and you will stop wearing these. Do not buy Merrell shoes shoes ever again! They are not the quality they were until 2008 or so. They obviously switched to cheaper materials and cheaper manufacturing. Go buy Keen or Salomon, or Patagonia...Merrell should go out of business for selling this trash and ripping off previously loyal customers.
