I have been searching for barefoot waterproof boots for years. These are fabulous and do very well. I got a pair of wool flat inserts to cushion and warm the rubber foot bed. They are as comfortable as rubber boots can get and very flexible for this kind of boot. That is perfection.

I finally found a pair of minimal rain boots. It has only been a few weeks, but I have been very happy. I am hoping they have a long long life. I can feel the ground's groves underneath my feet. No heel nor arch support. Just what I was looking for. This is the highest price that I have ever paid for rain boots. But all other rain boots have left my feet sore. So, it is worth it to be able to splash around comfortable with my daughters.

I've been looking for a pair of minimalist rain boots for awhile and was thrilled to finally have access to these! If you're looking for a completely flat sole, good flexibility and decent width toe box these fit the bill! Only thing to watch is your calf size. My calves measure 14.5" and I had about 1/2" to spare. These were also wide enough for me to wear my Correct Toes in them, a bit snug but workable.

I like these boots. Great addition to my "barefoot"shoes. Perfect for my NE Florida outdoor adventures weather. They also look good with jeans. I usually wear a size 40, ordered up to 41 as others suggested.

I love zero-drop shoes. I also have a short, wide foot. Most zero-drop shoes claim they have a wide toe-box, and that people who have needed "wide" shoes in the past may find that they fit in the average width shoes that have a foot-shaped toe box. Unfortunately, my feet do not agree. I ordered several pairs of shoes this month to try and find some outdoor winter shoes. These were the only ones that I considered keeping, because the material on top is soft enough that it sort of stretches a bit to accommodate your particular foot shape. My foot was hanging out over the top of the sole at the ball of the feet (width), and my toes were squished in, but the pressure was not *as bad* as it was in all the other shoes I had tried. Still, there was enough pressure within a few minutes, that I expect wearing them for several hours would result in very sore feet. I have a bunion that hurts very badly when I wear shoes that are too narrow, but gives me no pain when I wear my custom-sized, zero drop shoes that I have made for the shape of my foot. Vivobarefoot, if you see this, please offer your shoes in Wide and Extra-Wide!

I really, really wanted these to work for me. They are so freakin' cute and aren't bulky like most other rain boots. As other reviewers have mentioned, these were tight around my wide calves--they fit, but leave virtually no room to spare. There's no way I could wear these with anything other than leggings. I also found them a bit too tall for my short-legged self. I found these to be true to size. Wish I didn't have to return them.

The other day it rained, and I stepped in a puddle. It was then I realized I needed taller boots. These are a perfect height - knee height for 5'-nothing tall me. Having gotten used to wearing light weight shoes, I also didn't want a boot that would feel too heavy. Again perfect. The color and styling are also very nice. My hesitations are that I'm not sure the sole will offer enough traction when going over smooth pavement. The regular, not very deep pattern makes me worry that I'll slip. or that the texture will wear down quickly. The boots are also very stiff, so a little awkward for walking up and down steps - I'm hoping they'll soften up a bit with wear. My experience with the size is different from the other reviewers. I usually wear a 35, and these had a little extra space. If you have narrow feet, you might want to order down or plan to wear socks. The liner is thin but feels fine.

I have been looking for waterproof minimalist boots for a while and really wanted to like these, but I am on the fence. First, I have found that quality control with Vivobarefoot is hit or miss. I have one pair that has lasted for years, while others have fallen apart within a year. The left boot of the pair I received looks great, but the sole of the right boot is already peeling away in one spot (it is a small spot, but this is an issue that I have had with Vivobarefoot shoes). Also, for some reason there is a seam that runs down the footbed from heel to toe and there is no insole to cover it up. It is hardly noticeable in the left boot, but is quite prominent and annoying in the right boot, and I could not imagine wearing it without a thick sock to cover it up. As far as sizing goes, I ordered my regular size and they are about an inch too long, but also just barely wide enough for my wide feet. I am going to try a half size down and keep my fingers crossed that they are not too narrow. Also, my calf circumference is 15½" and these boots are definitely snug at the top. They are comfortable but I will not be wearing them over pants (thin tights, maybe). If Vivobarefoot made these boots available in different widths and calf circumferences I would give them four stars instead of three (one star still missing for lack of quality control).

Waterloo wellies are my fifth pair of vivobarefoot shoes. As the rest of the pairs, I found them very comfortable but If you want to buy waterproof shoes - which I guess you do when you buying Wellies - do not bother with these! I am really sorry to say that but they are not waterproof at all! Maybe if you are running to near by shop in light drizzle, but definitely not for walking in parks, or muddy terrain. My feet were absolutely soaked wet after walking in park. That is very disappointing.
