I bought these as a replacement to a pair of Johnston and Murphy XC4s. Like other reviews, they run about a size larger but I believe that's primarily due to width. I feel like they are wider than other comparable shoes but not too wide. Length is about right for the size for me. Overall, they are great shoes. They are comfortable right out of the box and look great. I walk a lot and my feet haven't hurt once since buying them. If you're looking for a versatile shoe for work that can handle the elements, look no further.

These work great for me. Comfortable, sharp-looking, and I really feel safe walking around on icy sidewalks with the treaded rubber soles. I was initially turned off by the imitation sculpture of sewing to make it look like a real leather sole sewed on, but now I just have a sense of humor about it - kind of like a fake Xmas tree, I will happily accept the advantages. Safety is important and this traction is great.

Wowee, my husband loves his new Ecco wingtips. He says no break-in necessary and they are the most comfortable dress shoes he's ever worn. He described the moment when he needed to walk faster and the shoes were even more comfortable, rather than making his feet pay for the increased speed. Thanks, Zappos.

I wore this pair of shoes for 12 hours the first day I received them. They were comfortable from this moment I put them on and at the end of the first long day I had no sore spots from getting broken in or rubbing me the wrong way. This has been my previous experience with Ecco as well. It's the only brand of dress or casual shoes I buy.
