OH MY GOODNESS! I love these boots! I received them today, quickly put them on, and ran to the computer to write this review. I had previously ordered another set of boots that were in fact more expensive. But those didn't do them for me. I then bought these (after having wanted them for months!). Best. Purchase. Ever. They are exactly as depicted on the site. I was at first hesitant to buy them considering some of the negative reviews. Then more people reviewed the boot and it gave me some confidence. So if I can do that for you with these boots, rest assured. Although they are not orthotic boots, they are waterproof, soft, and incredibly good looking. They make my feet look small (instead of large and chunky like some other boots). I was also worried about the toe bed being narrow. That's not necessarily the case. The toe bed is somewhat narrow, but not enough to hinder movement or become uncomfortable. The upper is indeed leather, not suede (at least in the black pair) as one other may have indicated. It is just THAT soft! I usually wear a 7.5/8 and I went with an 8 to give me some room with socks. It fits great! So if you're on the fence about this book, go for it! It's awesome.

I was entirely pleased with these boots. While they may not be as warm as I prefer, they are waterproof and so comfortable I never want to take them off! Seeing as I am 9 mos pregnant this is of the utmost importance. They are also easy to get on and off which is another huge perk. I normally wear a 7 1/2 or 8. In these I wear an 8 with room for thick socks.

Love the boots! Comfy, weatherproof, but not chunky. Get lots of compliments! Found last year's version in taupe at an outlet and grabbed them. I wear them almost every day. Highly recommend!

I really like these boots. I have muscular calves and it's often hard to find boots that I can wear with jeans or cord leggings. These are perfect. They aren't a dressy riding boot, but are a little rugged, slouchy, more casual boot, which can be worn as well with jeans, skirt or sweater dress. The black is a muted black suede.

These boots looks and feel great! The hidden stretch feature on the calf part of the boot allows for easy fit over the calf, so that those with different calf sizes could wear this boot. The boot zips up easily. For the sake of warmth I would like to be able to wear a heavier sock, but would have had to go 1/2 size up to do that, and I had already gone a half size up to allow for a more comfortable fit. (My foot does not tolerate a narrow shoe over the "toe box" area.) It didn't feel long before these boots had a "broken in" feeling. Love the sleek styling on this boot which allows me to wear at the office on messy wet days.

This are very nice boots for the winter and they also provide an accurate measurement but they tempt to hurt on the top part of the ankle at the zipper side after one hour of wearing them. It's almost impossible to handle the uncomfortable feeling. And thinking about how much I paid for them, this is very disappointing!

I wanted to love these boots and waited three months after purchasing to write a review. I choose them for several reasons, the expandable panel for larger calf sizes, waterproof, and they weren't a chunky boot. Calf-size: while the expandable panel does make it so these boots fit over my calves wearing jeans, there is no way I can zip them up wearing just light weight tights. The zipper on both boots did not easily zip up - even when I wasn't wearing them. So I opted to pull on the boots instead. The expandable panel fit my calves, but there was no way I could zip them on. Not a big deal, but annoying when trying to tuck jeans in. I should have returned them then, but was headed out of town to visit and I really wanted them for the trip. The first time I wore them in the rain, they kept my feet dry and warm, but the soles don't track well on slippery surfaces and I found myself slipping and falling while crossing a street. I find certain side walks to be more treacherous than others. Then today I had an annoying rubbing on my ankle - something sharp. I took off the boot to find it had worn a hole in my expensive new smart wool knee high socks and that the plastic around the top of the foot bed had poked through the padding. I've had these boots less than three months & while I wear them often they are not my everyday shoe. For the price I strongly feel they should have held up longer! I also wish they offered a bit more arch support. But I can overlook that in light if the other issues. Very disappointed in the overall quality!

I had high hopes for this boot, in part because of the North Face brand, but also on account of the price tag. I have to say, I hate these boots after wearing them for a full day. Just around the house was fine, so I wore them out intending to keep them, and unfortunately, I am now stuck with them. My feet hurt so bad by the end of the night that I doubt I will ever wear them again. Although the 8.5 size I ordered feels true to size (I am usually an 8 or an 8.5), the toe is so narrow that it pinches and the ankle is so tight and stiff that it feels like I'm wearing casts. Additionally, there is absolutely no arch support and they do not even keep your feet warm. I expected more from North Face. These are seriously the shoe worst purchase of my life. I feel like I just threw money away. In my opinion, the only thing these boots have going for them is that they are waterproof. I would not recommend them, and I will never consider purchasing North Face shoes ever again. Don't waste your money. For what it's worth, this is also the only negative shoe review I've ever written
