I have extra wide feet; when I buy running shoes, I buy WW/E width. But low rise, minimal shoes don't come with wide lasts. While I wait for manufacturers to offer better options, these have suited me very well. I wear them at least six days a week for my workouts, and they held up for seven months before they started to fray on the edges where my feet were too wide. The toe box and middle in wide with offer enough space that my feet don't feel constricted, and the low rise was perfect for Crossfit.

These shoes are wonderful! I can't speak to whether they'd be good for running as I'm not much of a runner...however, I can say that they are really lightweight and flexible, so they're great for walking on the treadmill or using the elliptical machine. They're sturdy enough to wear for stretching/yoga and the other exercises I do (planks, crunches, medicine ball, etc). I really like that they're lower profile than other sneakers I've had in terms of the chunkiness of the sole, so I can wear them out of the house without looking like a doofus. One note about the comfort - the first two weeks or so that I had these, they rubbed terribly at the back of my heel - not to the point of blistering or cutting, but enough to make it red and raw. However, after getting them broken in a bit, that problem has disappeared.

I have been running half marathons for a few years and was looking for a minimalist shoe since I was having a lot of problems with my arches. I hated that the only way I could feel relief was to use insoles in my sneakers that made them feel 3 times heavier. These shoes have been amazing. I have worn them for 2 halves, a bunch of 10Ks and all of my training runs. I love them so much, I am buying them again for this year's set of races. I definitely recommend them.

I went through several other training shoes before finding these and now I'm in love. They provide the perfect amount of support for my flat feet, even during high intensity workouts. The first night I had them, I wore them around the house like slippers because they're so comfortable. I also LOVE that I don't need to wear socks! I only wish that they came in more colors so I could start a collection! Also, a warning: they run about a half size big.

Love these bright and cheery shoes -- true to size and work great for my HIIT workouts that include treadmill walking, weight lifting, TRX, and rowing.

I have had difficulty buying sneakers in the past few years due to some nerve damage in my right leg that left me with stability issues. This meant any shoes with an elevated sole--which is most of the cross-training/running shoes were out because they allowed my ankle to roll out to the weak side causing me to fall. I've tried more flat-soled shoes (like Adidas) but they were too narrow for my a wide-width foot--although I've never had to order sneakers in a wider width. So I was looking for something with moderate support and a flat sole that wouldn't make my foot feel like it was in a vise, when I came across these. They are perfect! Good support but nothing that needs getting used to or breaking in, flat sole so I don't need to worry about lateral movement, generous width, and INCREDIBLY LIGHT!! They feel like almost nothing on--I've got flip flops that weigh more. I ordered these in the Poisonberry--which is very out of character for me, but I adore the color combination. If you're looking for support without bulk and weight, generous width, and a flat sole these are the shoes for you. If you do a lot of high-impact activity (especially if you're joints need a little more cushion against impact) or have a narrow foot, these may not work for as well. For me, they are the perfect sneaker!

This is the first flat athletic shoe I have purchased. I purchased it for the sole purpose of cross fit. It has worked to far. I can't wear it with my orthotics so very minimal running.

I love these shoes. Had them for over a week. I use them for cardio workout videos like P90X3 and Insanity. They are super light and perfect for these workouts.

These are excellent shoes! I just wanted to add that if you simply want all black shoes just order the men's version of these 1 1/2 sizes down. It's the same shoe and they look great in black :)

I love these shoes! I use them for crossfit. They can be worn with it without socks and I chose without. It feels like I am wearing nothing which is exactly what I wanted!

Very comfortable shoes. I use these for a variety of gym classes (cross-training) and they are very comfortable. I have a wider foot near the front/ball of my feet and the 7.5 D fits great. I originally bought the regular, but they were too tight with socks on. They have a nice, breathable material on the side of the shoes which helps them air out. I plan to wear these for a while.

These shoes are wonderful! Admittedly I just got them, but I wore them for several hours right out of the box and they are so comfortable! I got them for the gym and for some minor running, so the relatively thin cushioning is fine. They are definitely low shoes with minimal cushion, but even after several hours of putzing around them my feet feel great. My feet are almost flat, so the slight arch support is just right. As for size, I normally hover between 8-8½ in all shoes, and got the 8½ based on the other reviews and the fit is perfect. Also, they did have more mesh than I thought from the photos, which I am actually fine with since it makes it good for warm weather, or feet!

I just started weight training so I really do not know much about weight training shoes. However, your feet do not slip around on the floor while working out compared to the other shoes that I had been wearing. I have high arches and these shoes still seem to feel comfortable while training and even afterwards if I am running errands. I ordered the pink and love the color. I am even thinking of ordering another color in the same style because I like them that much. Regarding the fit, I wear the little ankle socks with them and the size is still perfect.

This shoe (in the hot pink) says Wow when you open the box. It's a beautiful shoe. The most striking thing about it is that it weighs next to nothing! I found that the shoe ran a little small. However, it may just be the pair I got was cut funny because the front seemed cut very tight in the toe. Be aware that the information in the shoe very specifically says that "...this is a minimalist product with reduced cushioning and support when compared to New Balance's more traditional running shoes...". If you're expecting a soft shoe with cushion galore, this isn't it. Having said all that, I ordered the next larger 1/2 size and am anxiously waiting for them to arrive. Did I mention the color is Wow!

My favorite shoes for any occasion! Ligjtweight and made to allow your foot to move! Kinda like barefoot shoes but with more arch support.

Perfection! I do Barre Fusion (barre with a little kickboxing/yoga/Pilates) and TRX. This shoe eliminates the need for barre socks because the soles move with you. I can be all the way up on my toes at the barre with no problem & protect my feet better vs barre socks. I love that I don't need to wear socks with these. I have other NB shoes that are size 8, but this pair I was correct going with 7.5 (size I order with sandals). Most gym shoes/boots, I'm an 8. And I'm obsessed with the Poisonberry color -- makes me happy! I love the bright green laces, too. I have narrow feet (I don't order narrow shoes) and these fit like a glove.

Very light and surprisingly supportive. The arch support is excellent. I've had bouts of plantar fasciitis and achilles tendonitis in the past. I normally find very lightweight shoes are uncomfortable since I can't put my orthotics in them. Amazingly, I can wear these all day and my feet and legs feel great.

Highly recommend! I've purchased and returned several pair of training shoes. I have a high arch, these have a fairly good arch support. So far, I've only wore them cleaning house all day, etc. These New Balance were super comfortable right out of the box! Love the hot pink and black. I plan on wearing these for Insanity workouts, I'll update on their hold up!

I've been running and training in the NB minimus line (had the WT10V2 before these) for about a year and a half now after switching from the Brooks Pure Connect line, so I'm used to & prefer shoes with very low drop. That being said, I love these just as much as the other minimalist running shoes I've purchased over the last few years. The toe box is wide and flexible, but there's enough shoe to provide stability while cross-training (I also do quite a bit of plyometric training) or running. I haven't run more than 5 miles at a time in these yet, so no word on how they'll hold up on longer runs, but so far they're great! Highly recommend!

I love this show and wear it daily to walk. It is extremely light weight. I have wide feet and narrow heels and it is hard to find shoes that fit right.

I have been wearing five fingers for 3 years...this is my first attempt at other minimalist shoes. They are comfortable and provide more protection from street carnage. I am not sure I am able to continue true barefoot style technique without consciously thinking about my toes...but they are much better for double unders and box jumps. Soles are kind of "clicky." Great color...I will buy again!
