At first the shoes felt disquietly unfamiliar. As the day went along I never wanted to take them off. I am a person who generally is barefoot. The Zappos I bought made my feet, legs, and back quite comfortable.

I have suffered from Plantar Faciaiitis for over two years and these shoes are a life saver. They look like something Grandma Olive would wear, but she is a really smart lady - comfort and less painful feat over fashion. They have a great arch and are comfortable for office wear. I wore them for a bit longer today outdoors and had a slightly sore back heel from rubbing, but had not properly broken them in for longer distance walking. I don't care if I am a fashion felon. These shoes are going to be a go to pair for the support.

I purchased these shoes for my 94 year old mother who "was" suffering from pain in her foot caused by her sciatic nerve. This was a last resort before surgery. Call it a miracle but the foot pain resolved after 3 days of continuous wear. She now has slippers as well. The back pain caused by her sciatic nerve has improved immensely as well. These shoes are amazing --I purchased a pair of mary janes for myself and love them. Mom remains pain free in her foot 4 months later and her back continues to improve.

Achilles tendonitis is my issue, plus a flat left foot! These shoes are so comfortable I just wish they were more stylish - I'd buy a pair in every color if that were the case!

2nd Pair I've owned. I lost the first pair in a recent move. Very comfotable and great support. They do gap a little at the sides when you walk which is their only problem. I've gotten compliments and my feet are happy.

I typically am an 8.5 and I found this shoe to fit true to size. This has to be the most comfortable shoe! I pronate my feet and have back problems due to car accidents. I am 25, fashionable, and work in an office. I wear these in the red everyday with dress pants and could not be happier!

I love my casual flats! It is so comfortable to wear at work plus dressy enough for a dress shoe at work. I know this is a popular shoe I had to get emailed twice because this shoe was out of stock twice before I was able to purchase it!

Love this Maddie Orthaheel shoe. I wear a size 8. The fit is perfect and the shoes have helped my back not to hurt as much.

Great shoes, very comfortable. Definitely for casual wear. Sized up to wear heavier socks. These shoes run a little smaller than other Orthaheel shoes I have owned.

I LOVE these shoes. They arrived today and the top of the shoe doesn't touch my high instep! Yay!! Although I need (and love) the arch support from Orthaheel shoes, on most of the shoes the strap cuts right across my instep and hurts when I walk. (I have two pairs of the Melissa Mule and that strap hits me just in the wrong spot.) This one is perfect! I usually wear an 8, but they felt a little loose, so before I wear them I'm going to order a 7 1/2 just to see. I think I will probably wear these both with and without socks, so I don't want my heel to slip. I ordered the brown originally, will order the black in a smaller size, and then exchange whichever one isn't right. I know I want to have at least two pair of these shoes!

I am amazed at how the footbed in the Orthoheel shoes help. The color is a little darker than appears on my monitor - more of a medium than a light silver. It is a lovely, versatile color. But this model is a little too narrow at the metatarsal arch for me.

I have numerous other Orthaheel shoes and love them. I have plantar fasciitis, and this brand has been great for my feet. However, I was so excited to be getting a pair of loafers, but so disappointed when the arch support seemed too far back. I wore them around the house to give them a good try, but they didn't seem right from the beginning. I am saddened to read from other reviewers that they have had the same difficulty with other of the newer styles, too, and am afraid to order another Orthaheel shoe until they get this worked out. Unfortunately, these will go back.

Like the way the shoe looks, but the arch is farther back (and therefor unwearable for me), than the other orthaheels I am wearing and love.

I was recently diagnosed with plantar fasciitis and Orthaheel shoes are recommended on many websites. It is surprising the relief when I put on this shoe. I have fairly narrow feet and must wear thick socks with them. In the spring I will order some sandals of this make.

Having used Orthaheel athletic shoes and sandals for several years to help with my plantar fasciitis, I was thrilled to see them come out with a casual shoe. I am very pleased with the shoe. It was comfortable from the first wear and it provides the great arch support that my foot needs. I would agree with others that the support is maybe not *quite* as good as the athletic shoes, but it still does a great job and looks like a "normal," casual shoe. Overall, I'm very happy with the shoe. I do agree that I wish they make half sizes in the larger sizes.

I got fooled by the term "synthetic leather". They're not leather. The material used does not feel like it would conform to the foot nicely over time, rather it feels like it would get stretched out, and it is not breathable. Otherwise I liked the looks and the fit. Less arch support than the "Tide" flip flop...but I think the Tide has the best arch out there.

Shoes are short for the size but any bigger and they would be too wide for my foot. I love the sandals from Orthaheel and I'm trying to find other shoes for fall that will be equally as good. These are the best so far but not perfect.

I am a huge fan of Orthaheel, and have been very excited that they are coming out with more work appropriate styles. I have not been excited, however, to discover they do not carry 10.5 in any of these. Anyone with foot problems knows it has to fit correctly, and only whole sizes for us tall girls just does not cut it. Several reviews said they run large, so I gave it a try, but 10 is just too short. I wanted to keep these so badly. When Orthaheel comes out with a 10.5, I'll buy again.

These are only Orthaheel shoes that I find uncomfortable. That is disappointing, because I practically live in my Tide flip-flops (except for rainy days). My feet are killing me after a few, short hours. It is too late for me to return them, so I will wear them if it is only for an hour or two.

This is my second review because I couldn't add on to the first. These shoes went back. The tops are not real leather and they hurt. I tried to wear them a few times but the tops of my feet couldn't take it. If they were leather, I could have worked them in. Sad.

I ordered these because I thought they would be perfect for traveling, but they feel a little short in length, especially in my right foot. The leather makes creaking noises, and the sole feels thin, not cushioney. Wanted to love them so much but they must go back.

I was so excited to get these, but they were a let-down. I am really disappointed that orthaheel makes shoes for problem feet, but doesn't offer any other width than med! I can tell the shoes were made nicely, and would have been comfortable if that had been wider, but they were just painfully narrow. I returned them and am still on the hunt for some comfortable casual black shoes.

A great looking shoe, but for me the toe box was a little too narrow. Also, it is not a true chocolate color, which is what I was looking for.

Unfortunately I have to send these back. I did not like the color (light grey) and I listened to the reviews that said they ran small and went for a 9.5 rather than my usual size 9B. They were way too big and wide even with socks. I will re-order in size 9 and choose a different color.

Way too wide. I normally wear a 6 1/2, and I was walking out of the 6, doesn't come in a 5 1/2. Why, oh why is the heel so wide?
