I love these shoes. They are very comfortable. I have a wide foot and there is plenty of room in the shoe along with an orthotic. However, I have had them for about 10 months and the elastic at the buckle has broken. I am returning them for a new pair.

This is the first Aravon shoe I've returned. The strap was too thin for the weight of the shoe, which makes it cut into the top of your foot. Super cute so I'm very bummed.

Although a bit heavy, this is an attractive shoe. However, if you have a narrow heel as I do it will not work for you. I tightened the strap as much as possible and my foot still slipped down and the heel was quite loose. Too bad... if they fit better I would not have returned them.

Really cute shoe, but the size runs large. I ordered a 12W for me and practically fell out of it. The toe box is quite roomy! Going to try a 12M

I love these shoes. They are very comfortable for standing and walking. However, I had hoped they would be a little more "dressy." They actually are clunky and casual looking, and do better with slacks. I thought they would look nice for dresses, but they are not very dress-up looking. But I love them anyway and wear them a lot.

I ordered these shoes to wear with dresses, or dress pants for work. I'll start by saying that they are incredibly comfortable. The wide width was really wide enough and more than expected. I usually wear a 10.5 and if I can get shoes in a wide then all the better. This 10.5 felt more like an 11 on me, and I had to tighten the buckle all the way just to get them to stay on. I ended up having to return these, because the style was way too matronly for me. These are kind of clunky, and while I liked the T-strap, the front of the shoe goes so far up my foot that I almost felt like I was wearing clogs. I thought they looked okay in the video above but they are clunkier in person, in my opinion. I tried them with a dress, with jeans, and with dress pants for me, they didn't look good with any of them. If you like clunkier shoes though, these are very comfortable. I could definitely have danced all night in them if I were willing to wear the style to a salsa club! Which... I'm not. :)

I have a pair of Kendall sandals from Aravon in 8.5EE, and they fit markedly better than Maura. Granted, the last is flat and Maura's is a heel, but the 8.5EE Maura fits quite a lot tighter across the toes, with very thick, stiff leather which will need to be treated a softener whilst being manually stretched. I wasn't anticipating a painfully tight fit since my previous Aravon shoes fit pretty well right out of the box. I would have swapped them for a 9EE but I'm afraid they'd be too long and the heels would be too loose. The instep is not very high, which contributes to the tightness in the toe. The ankle straps fit fine, and overall the shoe is well-made. There's no room for special insoles, however, so if you have insoles thicker than the ones which ship with it, or need a metatarsal pad, you'll want to skip this one.

Super comfortable material inside, and just overall a nice feel. the heel is sturdy and toe box wide enough not to restrict your movement. The reviewer who mentioned tailor's bunions was right though - the top part where it cuts off is right in the worst area for that and can cause discomfort. I'm considering returning them just for that, although it's a shame because they're otherwise really comfortable and kind of stylish in a clunky 90s kind of way. If you don't have the same problem that I do, then I recommend them!

I was disappointed in these shoes. First off, I have to admit that they are pretty comfortable. But it was their look that bothered me - the leather looked fake and cheap, they were very lightweight, and their T-strap was off-center. The shoes did not look to be of the quality that you would expect for the price.

Comfortable shoe and very cute but the t-strap is too long and gaps above my foot. I have a wide foot but the rest of my body is fairly trim. If you have a larger build or swollen feet/ankles the shoe might work for you. On a positive note, my orthotic inserts fit perfectly and the shoe was extremely comfortable.

I have had hammertoe and other foot surgeries so comfort is my number one priority in purchasing shoes. I have Aravon walking oxfords that fit well and are extremely comfortable. For that reason I expected that these shoes would fit my narrow feet. I ordered my normal size, 6N, and was very disappointed in the overall fit. These shoes run extremely wide. The heel is very wide and gaps. The T-strap did not lay flat. Maura are very poor fitting shoes for narrow feet. On the positive side for those with wider feet seeking a comfortable walking shoe, the padded insole is comfortable. I also liked the looks of the slightly higher heel to wear with jeans and slacks. I will be returning Aravon Maura.

Great shoe - incredibly comfortable, great with and toebox room. May be a bit too much for people used to snug fitting shoes, but I'm barefoot whenver possible so my feet are somewhat wide and this is the only heel I can wear all day. Outer leather is very nice, looks fine with a skirt, if slightly clunky. But I'm not pleased with the build. I have had this shoe for about a year and wear it 2-3 times a week. The elastic wore out very quickly and had to be replaced. The footbed, oddly enough, has shrunk away from the sides of the shoe leaving a 1/8-1/4" crack around the footbed. Great for storing all that dirt you've been wanting to carry around. Also, the leather on the footbed has curled up at the heel and leaves an uncomfortable lump under my heel. I also have the Maya, and I've had the same footbed issues on that as well (it has no elastic to fail). I wear these with bare feet, and I can't use the insole due to it making the shoe just a bit too tight for me. You may be able to make them last longer with stockings and the insole. I'll be replacing these with another pair of the same, but for the price I'd like more than a year's wear out of them. My husband has shoes in nice condition that are 10+ years old. Where are the womens shoes of that quality?

I ordered these in my standard 7.5W and they were huge. They're pretty cute (business casual, but not business professional), so I'm going to try and order them in a half a size smaller. Here's hoping. Bottom line - if you have wide/large feet and want cute, comfy shoes - these would be a great option.

Although these shoes are pretty cute, (and in an EE!) I ended up returning them. And while an interesting style decision, the heel is narrow and set so far back that most of your weight is centered not over the heel post, but over the arch. And since the arch is made of polyurethane and not something stronger, it sort of bends and you lose support. It just felt unstable and weird on my feet. The color is closer to dark brown than red, but it's a nice leather. Also the back of the heel comes up pretty high, so if you are worried about it cutting into the back of your heel, maybe pass these by. However the width was awesome, the footbeds are really comfortable and overall I really wish these would have worked out because I loved the t-strap.

The t bar is too long for my foot and has a large gap so it does not fit properly.

This shoe is huge! I ordered 7.5 AA as I always do, and it feels like a 9 XW. I wonder if the size marked on it is a mistake.
