These are my favorite pants and I have three colors now. I like the drawstring waist as it will cinch or expand depending on the day. The one issue I have with this brand (I own other styles too) is on some pairs the stitches break - the thread I think has no stretch when the fabric does. This design flaw is minor but means that they don't have longevity over many years.

These would be a solid 5 Stars IF the rise was much higher. These sit on me like low rise pants and for that reason, they're uncomfortable. Cute style and long enough though.

These are my absolute favorite pair of pants of all time. I've owned them for YEARS and I keep buying them in new colors. The only thing I'm disappointed in is that they never came out with white, and have discontinued the Sand color. But other than that, they are my 'go to' travel pants, every day out and about pants, and even my "walk the dog" pants b/c they have so many pockets (for treats, bags, cell phone, etc). The stitching DOES come out after awhile on the back pockets, but I just take them to my local tailor and for $5 they restitch them. Good as new.

Fit and style are fantastic. But the seam in the back pocket was not stitched. Got another pair whose front pocket was defective. I Returned that pair but I'm gonna keep these and just stitch the seam myself cuz I really love the pants but the construction sucks.

Fit and style are fantastic. But the seam in the front pocket was not stitched and my keys ended up at my feet. Returned. :(

Loved the style, fit, and comfort but the quality is very below average. This is the second pair I am returning. This time it was a poor sewing issue.

5'6, 120 lbs; size SM good. Like the look (even though I am not a ruching type of girl). Have no opinion yet as to how they hold up. 2 negatives to note: on mine, the drawstring was MUCH shorter than it looks on the model; and the cordovan color is MUCH less bright than pictured. I still like it but I was disappointed that it was more dark rust.

I loved these pants that when my first pair ripped in all four pockets (the seams just fell out) I decided it must have been a faulty pair and since they were so cute and comfy I bought another pair. Don't you know that after ONE wash, one pocket already has a hole in it. The front left pocket seam ripped and you can see it from the front of the pants, not to mention that there is now a hole in the pocket so you couldn't put anything in there without it sliding down your leg and out next to your foot. Such a disappointment. And they aren't cheap pants! : ( I'm crazy enough to buy them once more if they tell me they have reinforced the pocket seams!

I love these pants. They are comfortable with a light weight fabric....especially good for traveling. They fit so well and look great. I bought them in three colors.

I ordered 2 pairs, XS and Small. The Small fit me best as the hip was smaller than the XS. Cons - The sizing is not dependable. Unfortunately the XS pants arrived with white markings on one pocket and what appears as oil spots on back of pants also. I am returning XS and keeping size Small. Pro - The pants are so very stylish and comfortable. I hope they hold up well. If they do I will definitely purchase more colors!

I ordered XS and S. Small fit the best. The hip was actually smaller in size small. Overall, the sizing is not accurate. The pants are very stylish and comfortable.

I LOVE the look and I LOVE the feel, but these pants are so poorly sewn that the seams in the pockets come undone after one or two washes. When the seams on the pockets come out, it shows (since it's part of the cute design) and you have a HOLE in your pocket and can no longer put anything in it. The first time it happened, I was bummed but it became a joke with all my friends that I could put my phone in any of my pockets and it would fall out through the bottom of my pant leg. Then I spent another $100 to replace them and within a few washes, it was the same. I'm so disappointed because if the pocket seams were stronger, I would buy a bunch and wear them everyday of my life.

I’ve given up on XCVI. The quality of the garments has deteriorated considerably since I discovered the brand. (And the quality wasn’t terrific to begin with.) It’s a pity because I really do like the designs, but absolutely not worth the prices.

I'm a fairly average Medium and the pants were too low-waisted and uncomfortable. Disappointed. Returned them.

These pants are essential for deep-south summers: light, cool, easy to move in, perfect for travel. This is an XCVI style that is actually long enough (just barely) for tall women. Letting out the hem.(ribbon tape required for backing when re-hemming them) makes them long enough for somebody in the 5-9 or 5-10 range. It's worth the cost of the alteration because they are such perfect casual pants. Dark colors can be dressed up enough for work. They will stretch out somewhat when wearing, but washing and hang-drying returns them to size. The actual colors have been different from what is pictured recently, i.e. "Mink" is shown as a light khaki but the pants received are dark brown. XCVI needs to check their colors, and start adding some new ones. Definitely one of XCVI's best-ever styles.

I ordered the Eventide Pigment and the color is gorgeous, almost like a dark periwinkle blue. The fabric is very soft and lightweight, perfect for summer. As some reviewers have noted, the pants are a bit long. I'm 5'5" at 160 lbs and curvy, so I ordered up at an XL, and it fits very well, but the pants go past my ankles. If the manufacturer would add a tab for adjusting the pant length, it would be perfect, especially at this price. I would have given the pants 5 stars if they had a higher waist for those of us who like or need a higher rise.

These are great pants!!! I have several pairs. I wear them with wedge sandals and still have to get them hemmed because I am 5'2 but I do not mind. They are perfect for traveling!

Love the look. Unfortunately these did not fit at all. It was like I was in a parallel universe, where someone gave me Barbie clothes and said, "No really. These LOOK like you won't be able to get your foot into the first pant leg hole, but you will, and then you WILL be able to pull them up, and you will be amazed at how awesome they fit!" So I said, "OK, I will try sticking my foot in that first pant-leg hole. Ah! So far so good! Maybe you're right. Maybe these ARE deceptively sized. I have other pants in this brand that fit perfectly. What was I thinking?" I got them pulled up, and on, and up at my waist I could "sort of" close them. That wasn't the real problem though. It was like the factory got confused and made the back of the waist band a low cut bikini bottom. You know what I mean. Like you have it pulled up and it isn't ... pulled up. It's lingering in the south end and will go no further north. The front of the waist area was fine. Up where it should be. I then made the mistake of standing back and looking at the overall spectacle in a full length mirror in the bedroom. Let's just say -- in figure-skating terms, because why not? -- the judges' scores were as follows: 3.4. 3.5, 3.2, 3.0, 3.1, 3.5, and some judge who turned out to be an imposter tried to give me a "negative 3.2." I lost badly, is my point, and I had to stand there looking in the full length mirror wondering, "Do I have these pants on backwards? Is this an elaborate practical joke? Why am I thinking about figure skating judges when I don't even figure skate?" I hope you don't think things like this when you try on pants that seem to be upside down or inside out or maybe they were supposed to be a baby blanket or something and there was a mix up at the factory. That can happen, you know. One time I bought a record (back when "vinyl" was still around) and it was supposed to be Bruce Springsteen and I got it hope and opened it and it was Barbra Streisand. Whoopsie, right? So my point is, maybe things can go wrong at clothing factories too. Or maybe these pants just don't fit me though all the other ones in this brand do. You have to admit that is a little weird and disconcerting. No way am I uploading a photo of myself standing in the Barbie pants in front of the full length mirror being humiliated by figure skating judges. You can just use your imaginations. By the way, I wasn't going to write a "review" (if that's what this is?) about this item because I returned it. I RETURNED IT. I could not get these Barbie backwards "I'm so confused" pants back in the Zappos sack fast enough. I think I raced to the UPS store and the girl at the counter saw my face and said, "Barbie backwards?" "YES! Please help!" And she talked me down and I'm OK now. I know, I should have said that I returned these pants up at the top, to save you all from reading all this other stuff. Like I know you aren't interested in my scores from the judges and the fact that I don't figure skate might have seemed a little like I veered off topic here. But in my defense, let me just says that the nice folks at Zappos sent ME an email begging me, PLEASE REVIEW these pants and help others. How could I not take on this humanitarian mission? So as much as it pained me, I went ahead and "re-lived" the entire try-on-at-home trauma event a bit too vividly and tried to explain what my experience was with these pants. Because it might help someone else. I feel sure that this review helped many many people. I bet these pants fit everyone else perfectly. Just not me. Everyone else probably got high scores from the skating judges too. I salute you. I am more a luge gal.

I love the idea of these pants. They also fit great, BUT the white (Lychee) is pretty see through. Another color would be fine. I ordered the medium> 5ft 5 145 lbs. Also pretty long!

They fit great and so comfortable. I ordered 4 pair. I have long legs so ordered up one size to get more length and they were fine; they are a bit baggy but I like that with tight, fitted tops. I’m 5’11”, 150 and I would love them longer, but they work with very flat sandals. I’ve had no problem with seams coming apart. I’d also like a longer drawstring. I love the colors too.

I loved these pants and ordered a second pair in another color. I had the same experience as other reviewers though - the seams in the pockets ripped out within a few wears. Overpriced for the quality, despite great fit and style.

I love these, they look so cool. But they are for slimmer thighs. That's where they are a bit snug on me. Because of the cut though, they still look really good. Material is a bit thin, not sure how long they'll hold up. Maybe wish I would have waited for a sale. But still love them.
