Great saddles!! I had a pair of Bass that didn’t come close to the quality of these shoes. Very well made. A little stiff at first but most leather shoes are. I am very pleased!!

My daughter loved the shoes and she wore them for 2 years am here to biy her one more pair as she grew bigger

I wore these in school. They take a bit to break in because they're made well. I bought them again 20 years later because they go well w/ jeans and sweaters?? feeling nostalgic. I wear them to work alot and always get compliments.

I have had so many folks come up to me and tell me they used to wear these in high school. My reply is that school is in session so buy yourself these shoes! We all are in our seventies!!!

Solid shoe to last the school year! My daughter insists on these shoes versus the other brands which I can get much cheaper. However, year after year they hold up very well and last the entire school year so I don’t mind spending the money.

I love them and will wear with jeans!!! I bought them for a 50's themed party and they were perfect. I wear an 8.5 but bought a size 9 so I can wear different thicknesses of socks. I wore thin socks and can wear a little thicker socks with them too.

I wear a 8.5 and get a 9 for running shoes and I felt like I might wear different weight socks with this shoe so I got a size 9. It fit comfortably. I wore thinner socks the first time and have room to wear a little bit thicker sock. Bought for a 50's themed night out. I will wear them again they will be great with jeans...I love them!!!

I am very happy with this shoe. I was anxious about buying shoes online - fit/etc. These shoes rub me just the slightest bit on the heel, nothing I'm not able to take - I just can't wear them 2x in a row. They are solid, quality, comfortable shoes.

These are darling, but I have a very high instep. To compensate for that, the toe looked too bulbous in the 9W. The instep didn't work in the 8.5M, and I think the 8.5 wide may look too bulbous. Not sure it's worth a try in the 8.5W. I really don't have wide feet.

I absolutely love the shoes but the toe is so hard and the leather seems tough. My feet were not very "Happy Feet", pardon the pun. I will search and order something similar, just not the school issue ones. Thanks Zappo's and I love the North Star Jacket. Sincerely, Susan

I received my shoes 01/04/17 and I opened the package and I was like OMG BEAUTIFUL I couldn't wait to try them on I normally wear a 7.5 and they fit but my toes are at tip of shoes ?? I reached ZAPPOS by phone and the customer service helped me with an exchange no charge and sent me a size 8 I was so happy I'm sending the 7.5 back today. For persons who wears a true 7.5 I recommend you 1/2 size up to an 8 and shoe should fit Perfectly. I will keep checking for other colors. These shoes are timeless vintage conversation piece. Bought these for my daughter to wear with her costume in a theater production. They are perfect. Run true to size and felt comfortable when she first put them on. Just a classic saddle shoe, and perfect for her performance.

Darn it - these seemed heavier than they did in college. Had to return them and see if I can find a lighter pair.

Love these shoes. Wore them in high school and always loved them. Just wanted to get a pair to wear again. They fit true to size and are very comfortable. Nice soft insole but no arch support. Not a problem to remove insoles if you have orthotics as I do. Nice thick rubber outer sole and very durable. Upper is leather. These will last a LONG time, I'm thinking. Reasonable shipping time. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this purchase.

Love the shoes! Comfortable and well built. Reminds me of the shoes I wore in grade school. Looks great with a pair of cuffed Skinny Jeans!

The fit is true to size and so comfortable. They arrived the next day - I don't know how Zappos does it but they are awesome.

I love these shoes! I got them for work to wear with jeans, dresses and pants. They go with everything! I normally wear a size 8 but after reading reviews I got them in a 7 1/2 m and they are perfect! The toe area is wide and leaves plenty of wiggle room. I wore them with low profile socks till they got broken-in because on me they were rubbing in the heel. After wearing them twice they are perfect!

We had a 1950's sock hop for the oldies at my club and I needed inexpensive saddle shoes. These were great and extremely well made for the price. And they were comfortable. Great buy and not just for a costume!

I missed my saddle shoes from High School and was glad to have found these. It really takes me back to the "good ole days". These shoes were the 3rd pair that I had ordered. Wish I had ordered these first! I also remembered the blisters I got on my heels from "breaking them in", so this time I put band aids on my heels for the first few times. Guess I will have to give them 4 stars for comfort as they do need "breaking in".

At first I was a little hesitant on purchasing these shoes even with the good rating. Once I received them I couldn't wait to put them on! At first they felt stiff but I'm sure after a few days they will be just fine. I'm normally a size 7 in which I ordered the correct size. They feel a bit tight around the heel but the foot bed has ample room. After the first two hours I received many compliments! I'm wearing them with socks and they're a bit snug. They are also prone to scuffing so use the correct protectant and they should be fine. Super fast shipping on these bad boys and customer service is amazing! Will be ordering from Zappos again for sure!

I love this shoe! The only issue I am having is the left shoe fits perfect and the right shoe is way too tight. It could be an issue with my right foot maybe, so I will wait and hope that I will be able to wear them soon.
