This is a fantastic boot! I first purchased the Jillian but wanted a tighter fit on the leg. I hated to return it because it also fit well! The Solana fits perfectly, just what I wanted!

Love these boots. I wear them with a padded orthotic, so they fit like a sneaker and I’m comfortable all day. I did have to go up a size because my usual size wasn’t available, so they’re a little long on me even with orthotics and thicker socks, but somehow that still works (and better a little long than short!) They feel like a suede, supportive sock that hugs your foot with a comfortable, cushioned sole. They work well with both jeans and a dress. They’re waterproof (rain tested!). Because they’re waterproof, they can get a little hot during the day indoors. They’re beautifully made and worth the money.

I tried 3 short boots from LaCanadienne. The Solana is a beautiful boot. It looks and feels like a dress boot. It goes above the ankle, which I really liked. However, it was too narrow for me. Plus, it did not have a lot of cushioning. I am a hard walker and was looking for a boot that looked stylish but I can really walk a lot in. I'm still looking.

This is a great little boot, just the right height up the leg, and super comfortable. I love the grey suede. It is lined for warmth. Sadly, I need a narrow and this runs normal, so my foot slips in the heel.

Good quality. A bit snug in the ankle area.

Even though I have a somewhat wide foot, I am usually able to fit into 10 M in La Canadienne. I own two pairs that I love. Unfortunately, the Solana was too narrow for my foot. Too bad because it is quite an elegant little boot. Oh well.

I loved this boot, but it just was not what i was looking for in style comfort or color. La Canadienne has great stuff and you really get what you pay for. This style is on the narrower side at the ankle and a bit too tall for my shorter legs. I also felt the ankle area was a bit loose. That along with the lighter arch support in their flatter shoes made this style the wrong one for me. I also really wanted something in a richer brown, this is more a dark chocolate and I wanted not suede. But it's still a lovely boot for the right person. It's going back, but no worries - I got another style: Camilla.

I loved these boots! Lately size 11 seem small in stores, but these boots were a true 11! Elegant, low heel, waterproof and perfect in every way!

These are fantastically comfortable! I love everything LaCanadienne makes and own 4 pairs of boots. They keep your feet warm and dry but never feel stuffy. They use the finest materials too. Even though this is a block heel (wood) the shoe is very comfortable and has some memory foam under the ball of the foot. These fit true to size so order your normal size with confidence!

Beautiful boot! I hesitated for a long time because these are pretty pricey, but I need a winter boot for Europe in March. I ordered three different pairs, the others 1/3 the price of these. But I guess it’s true that you get what you pay for. These I’ll keep, the others will go back. I usually wear a 9 or 9 1/2 and the 9 1/2 M fits perfectly, with plenty of room for a mid-weight sock. Attractive sleek appearance and obviously a quality boot. This will be my only shoe for two weeks in Munich in March.

This boot is cute and really comfortable. It's not super sleek, but fits snug around the ankle with rounded toe box, so no pinching of toes. Great neutral color too!

At this price point, I expected way more arch support. The heels aren’t cushioned either. I’m a size 10 and they fit me perfectly, not too long or short, and they weren’t too narrow either (for me). I like that they come above the ankle so you’re not slipping around in them when you walk. I’m going to keep them but maybe try an otc orthotic.

These are comfortable as far as they go, but the arch support is minimal. Wish it were better. They are basically ballet flats in boot disguise. :( Waterproofedness is nice. My biggest beef is that after owning them for about a month, and wearing a couple of times a week, I had to take them to shoe repair for new heel taps. I asked cobbler why virtually brand new shoes would require a shoe repair visit and she said, "cheap plastic heels." I expect more from a pricey shoe. Shame on you, La Canadienne.

It is challenging to find stylish boots in larger sizes (i.e. size 12). I wanted something a little more stylish than an Ugg. The mid-calf boot height didn’t work for me and the shaft was narrow so I had trouble zipping it to the top. It didn’t seem to be a comfort fit on the inside, more bare bones and blockish. I expected more for the price. Overall, I much prefer the Blondo booties. These were a miss for me. They’ve been returned.
