David Tate Denver Review - I broke my foot in several places in a car accident 2 years ago, so finding shoes to fit my wide size 10.5 left foot and medium width size 10 foot has been challenging. Plus, I have 17-1/2" calves! This boot worked really well. I ordered the size 11, which was too wide. The regular "leather look" looked too cheap. I returned them for a size 10.5 in the black patent, and they look pretty nice, and are very comfortable. As always, Zappos is outstanding with returns and orders - I got both orders 1-2 days after ordering = Fantastic!

Comfort and Style - I did not have to sacrifice comfort for style. This boot feels like I'm wearing a comfortable pair of slippers.

Too Wide - Unfortunately, like many others, the calf was too wide, which is crazy surprising. The boot however is very sexy and I hate having to return them.

Finally fits my HUGE calves! Ok I'm 40 yrs old and I've searched all my life for a high boot to fit my 19 1/2 inch calves and finally I have. The boot is very roomy and although I haven't spent long hours walking in them they were comfortable the few hours I had them on. So kudos David Tate and Zappos for excellent customer service.

Great boot for large calves! My calves are huge, actually larger than the width that is specified and I was still able to put these boots on. I will not be able to wear pants inside them but that's ok since this is the first boot ever! To fit me. They feel pretty comfortable but I haven't really worn them outside of the house when I tried them on so I'm not 100% sure of the comfort level. I was planning on pairing them with party dresses so they work for me since you're not on your feet for longer than 4 to 6 hrs for a party. WooHoo!

David Tate's Denver fantastic! These boots are very comfortable and stylish. I have a hard time fitting my wide calves and these are perfect. If you have the same problem, these are the boots for you! Just make sure you order the wide size. If you don't have that problem, order the regular size and you won't be disappointed!

TOO WIDE IN THE CALF! These boots are so comfy in the foot area and very sleek, but they are quite thin and flimsy in the calf and also way too wide. I have a wide calf and I was swimming in them! Unfortunately, I will have to return them.

Finally, boots that fit - I have always had muscular calves and had trouble finding non-slouch boots that would fit. Others have complained about the shaft being too wide, for me they were a perfect fit. Having wide legs made me self conscious in skirts, now I can completely rock out the skirt and boot look and feel feminine, sexy while still being able to walk. I don’t like how the zippers dig in my ankle, but I’m sure that will just taking some getting used to. I highly recommend them.

Great boot for a wide calf women - I love this boot. It is comfortable and stylish. I am a size 18W and got a medium size width. I also added a comfy insole for more wearability.

David Tate Denver - Black Patent Stretch - These are the boots I've wanted to own for a very long time but could never find to fit my fuller calves. The boots looked fabulous straight out of the box. The fit is amazing. I've worn them for extended periods of time on a few occasions and my feet did not hurt or get tired. I've also received many compliments when wearing them. Absolutely worth the price.

Very comfortable and stylish - These actually fit around my big calves with no problem, they're stylish and comfortable to wear all day.

Look good with skirts or jeans...though a bit tight through the ball of the foot.

The boots are great, but I ordered the W and it was too wide for my leg. I will reorder the medium width and hope for the best!

These boots look nice... Not super sleek but nice enough. They are too big around the calves. I'm a size 12W and I have muscular calves and will have to return them.

Great Boots - I have a wider calf, it's usually almost impossible to find a pair of knee high boots that I can zip. These stretched enough that I could comfortably zip them with no muffinage over the top of the boot. The only thing I didn't really like is they sag a little at the ankles. But it's not bad enough that I won't keep the boots. I've worn them twice and have gotten compliments on the boots. Zappos had them to me the next day. Wow!

Fab looking boots - The boots look great with anything I wear, are very easy to put on and so comfy I can wear them all day shopping.

Good wide calf boots - These boots are very cute with pants and longer skirts. The fabric is comfortable. There are some faults though. They do not stay up all the time, the ankles are looser than I hoped, and they stretch out when you wear them. I have a wide calf (18") so I got the WW in an 8. I ended up returning them for a 7.5 W. I would suggest buying a width smaller than you regularly do.

Very wide at the calf - The boot is comfortable for a wide foot - surprising since it has a pointed toe. The top of the boot (calf) is VERY wide - and I have a wide calf. I think it makes the boot look less stylish when it is on.

Great for wide calves. The faux leather is somewhat thin and does stretch some. The boots were fairly comfortable after adding Dr. Scholl's insoles for more padding and arch support. Perfect for wearing over a pair of skinny jeans!

Calf too wide - I ordered a wide calf and returned it for regular size calf. Even that was too wide. However, the boot fit so well in every other way that I took it to a shoe man and had the calf taken in.

These boots are *great* if you have large calves. The boots look sleek even though they do not look like leather. I'm planning to buy a second pair. Also, I received the shipment earlier than promised -- Zappos is so convenient with a great selection.

The boot looks great everywhere (very sexy), is comfortable, except at shaft's end (below the knee) is too wide. A little too loose. I like it so much I've looked around to see if I could have it tailored but that is too expensive, so I will be returning them.

Great Boots! This boots are extremely comfortable and have lots of room, especially for larger calves. They are very generous in size for both the foot and the calf. They are a bit loose, but I still love them because they look and feel great!

I was looking for ankle boots but decided to keep these instead. They are so comfortable. But you wouldn't want to wear them with skirts; the upper part doesn't stay up at all. That's why they were a good substitute for ankle boots because they're perfect under pants.

These boots fit well in the foot but are ridiculously large in the calfs. I have to return them.
