I love these Hunter boots. I wear a size 7.5 and ordered the 39/UK 6 (US Women's 8/US Men's 7) in Chocolate. They are a little larger than I would like, but I just ordered the Welly fleece sock (from a UK store because I couldn't find the yellow I wanted anywhere else), and they should fit perfectly with those added, which is ideal. I've loved the look of the Hunter boots for a long time. These days I see them modeled in catalogs with skirts and I think it's such a sexy look. I bought the Hunters with that in mind, along with the fact that they are a great asset when the weather here gets wet and muddy. I read reviews about the issue with height and where the boot hits on the leg, and they were right. I'm 5'4" and the boot comes right up to my knee, but not over. I don't have trouble walking, but tucking my jeans in and stepping in is an art! Either way, I love them. I got them the day before Thanksgiving (I can't say enough about Zappos), and I wore them in our back yard playing football, so if you're not that ambitious when wearing rain boots, you'll love them. Great buy for the money, and I can't wait to wear them with a cord skirt I ordered. I'm also considering getting another pair in one of the bright colors.

These are pretty critical if you live in a city with almost no drainage and a ton of doggy poo on the streets. I like them; the only reason that they aren't perfect is that they run pretty wide. I have size 10 feet, but my feet are narrow so that even with thick socks they are not totally fitting, but that is generally the price I have to pay for all my footwear. Oh, the other disappointing thing is that although Hunter are a proud British brand these guys are, you guessed it, made in China.

These boots are great! The Hunter brand is definitely the way to go if you\'re looking for stylish and functional rain boots. These boots do their job. I had always wanted to get the Hunter boots and actually went and bought a pair of Juicy Couture rain boots. I quickly returned them. They felt extremely small and the material didn\'t seem as strong. My Hunter boots are now perfect. I think everyone should have a pair of these.

I am happy with my hunter boot purchase. They are a bit loose on the foot, but a size smaller is too small lengthwise. The times I've worn them, I used thick socks or the fleece boot sock. Unfortunately, they will be a bit loose in the summer.

I've been wanting a pair of these boots forever. Great for rainy day dog walks and giving the dog a bath in less than warm weather. Also wear them when I go to my son's (all too often) muddy cross country meets. I found them true to size. Not for lengthy walking though, no support.

LOVE THEM! These boots fit great, feel great, and now I look forward to rainy days. I am a 9 (though 9.5 in Nike), and these fit fine. They are much more comfortable than I thought they'd be as I wore them all day outlet shopping and my feet never hurt. I recommend them highly.

Got these boots last week. The foot is quite roomy, so I can wear a warm pair of socks while out mucking about. The calf is quite tight, to the point of creating a vacuum lock; I had to have help getting these boots off. This is unfortunate, as I won't be able to tuck my jeans inside to keep from getting wet. Overall, I'm happy with them and I'm just waiting for it to rain so I can properly try them out.

I love the style and my color choice. With the welly socks inside the boots, they are not easy to pull off. In terms of comfort, they are a little bit stiff in the footbed. In terms of keeping my feet dry in the pouring rain and walking through puddles, they are awesome!

I bought these boots because I just wanted a basic black pair of rainboots. The description says that the shaft is 16" but that really depends on where you measure it from. If you measure from the bottom of the boot heel, it is 16". If you measure from where the bottom of your heel starts, then it is a 14.5" shaft. I am 5'2" and it hits me right at the bottom of the knee cap, too long for someone as short as me. Other than that, it's a beautiful boot if you have legs long enough for it!

These boots are awesome if you enjoy sloshing through puddles and muck. However, if you have average sized calves, they may cut off your circulation because apparently Hunter does not cater to the average female's calves that are not fat, just normal.

These are the cutest boots! I bought fleece liners in red, blue and green, which completes the look. I would recommend the boots and the liners wholeheartedly.

Love them. They are very cute and do their job. They are quite tight on the calf, but on the other hand are more flattering. I am a half size and so I went down and I recommend that. No complaints!

The boots are really nice and comfortable, but they don't have half sizes so get a round up to closest size. The only other thing is that you have to wear pants inside the boots, otherwise, your legs get sweaty, eww. They are also a bit long for someone who has short legs. If they had same boot but shorter, would recommend for shorter/petite people.

These boots are what I expected from the brand. I ordered 9 and wear a 9. Even though some said they're roomy, I don't take chances on too snug shoes. I could have worn an 8 1/2, but these are fine. I have skinny legs, so they're very generous with shorts, skirts, but with my jeans tucked in, they're oh so cool. Lots of compliments. I'd buy them again.

It's not easy for me to go out shopping with 3 kids so I've been doing most of my shopping online these past 5 years. I'm pretty selective about where I order online as I hate the hassle of returning merchandise and the expense that goes with it. I've ordered a couple items from Zappos and I have to say that I'm comfortable with their quality; meaning, I don't get run down items, and the customer service is superb. They are so good about accepting returns without any hassles, as I've had to for sizing reasons, even if a few months later. I would recommend Zappos to all my friends as they do inquire because they like what I dress in as well as what I dress my kids in. As for this particular purchase, I love the boots, but they're really wide by the legs. I returned and ordered a size down but still, the calf part is really wide even having adjusted it. I read the reviews before buying and most stated that the calf part was really tight; I don't know how that could be possible. It makes me wonder what size Angelina Jolie had on since she's quite slim. And I'm not that skinny. Maybe she had them custom fitted? So I'm undecided on whether to return and just get another brand or not. But I do like the quality Hunter boots offer and Zappos' customer service.

I love these boots and I love the way they look, but because they don't come in half sizes, they are not the most comfortable. So if you're one of the lucky few to be an exact size as opposed to something and a half, then go for it. They run large, so keep that in mind.

I love my new boots. They are attractive and functional. The boots run large. Order one full size down. I usually wear a 7 and I ordered the six and they are perfect.

Love the boots. I bought an 8 because I am a 7.5 and I should have bought a 7. But I love them and they will work with thicker shocks.

Ditto on all the good reviews. Note: when the boots arrive, the waxy coating requires quite a bit of elbow grease to get off if you want the boots to be shiny/new. Be prepared for a major scrubbing session; I used old terry washcloths and plain dish soap, and really had to use some muscle to scrub the wax off. It will not just 'wipe off' with a damp cloth like the instructions say. Enlist a friend to help, but once it's all done, they will sparkle. Just hope I don't have to do this too often.

These are great looking boots; the chocolate color is a great choice for the fall. The fit is tough; I wear a size 8 US, but the equivalent was too large. I ordered the next size down and they fit great, but a little tight through the ankle so it takes some effort to get them off. For me, worth it.

I purchased the Hunter original in black. It fits fine, just disappointed because they had a bunch of white/grey scuff marks on the inner outsides of the boots, but absolutely no sign that they had been worn from looking at the bottoms - pretty weird. I\'m going to exchange them for the same and hope the next pair is free of markings.

Great boots for braving the city’s treacherous puddles and rivers. Very comfortable and cute. Annoying to scrape off the wax, but guess that’s what helps keeps your feet so dry and toasty! A bit expensive, but will last so much longer than trendy boots.

You can buy cheaper waterproof boots than these, but not the quality. If you are really short (below 5'2") these boots will definitely be too high and will cut into the back of your knees! Otherwise, these are great and run true to size. Just remember to wear thicker socks with them.

I've gotten in the habit of ordering multiple sizes at once from Zappos (I'm sure I'm not the only one!) & in this case, am glad I did. The sizing is a bit wonky; I generally wear anywhere from a size 9 to a 10. I ended up going with the size 8 Hunters. They're a tad too short in length this way, but the 8 1/2s were too floppy. I imagine a little floppiness would be fine if you only want these for walking around in the garden or short trips to and from work, but I like to lunge around in the rain, so the 8s worked better. These boots are apparently all the rage, too, since I got myself into them, stepped outside, and found that 1 out of every 10 women in Chicago has a pair!

Love my Hunter boots. I am a serious gardener and did not purchase this boot to be stylish so I was not upset when they arrived looking less than perfect. A whitish film was left on them and I guess this is normal. However, I know some girls may not appreciate the appearance. I like a lived in looking boot. ABSOLUTELY love shopping Zappos. EXTREME good service.
