I needed to get a pair of comfortable, yet stylish looking sandals, for an upcoming trip to help with my plantar fasciitis. Well, I received my sandals today and I immediately tried them on and went for a long walk to break them in. They felt absolutely comfortable and the arch support is excellent! I read some of the comments and I ordered them one size smaller, I am an 8, but I went with the 38 and the fit was perfect! I am glad that I listened. I have thin ankles, but they do not feel loose around them at all. I have a feeling that these will become my go to shoes from now on, and I am ready for my trip. I cannot wait to order more. Oh, and Zappos' fast delivery saved my hide, so kudos to you all at Zappos land!

This is my second pair of these. They are fabulous in every way, especially if you have cranky feet - I'm a runner, so comfort is most important to me. Big shout out to the Titanium colored ones - I have a pair of the silver Gizeh sandals, and thought the Titanium would be too similar. It is not, and these shoes have turned out to be incredibly versatile. It's basically a neutral, and looks good with almost everything. It's my go-to shoe these days and I highly recommend them, and that color, in particular.

I've been wearing these to work almost every day. I am a librarian and on my feet a lot. The excellent arch support and overall cushioning of Birkenstocks have made the brand my new favorite!

The color is a bit more khaki/olive than silver. Lovely neutral metallic. This shoe has saved my back and knees from the daily wear and tear of scooting around the classroom. Even my doctor said, "you're wearing the right shoes." Thanks Zappos for making them affordable!

I love these sandals. Very comfortable! I can't stand to wear cheap flip flops anymore because they hurt my feet. They also look great with just about everything. Great buy!

So glad I bought these! Helping me recover after foot surgery. I had my big toe joint fused, and I can drive and walk with these. Leather strap is very comfortable, strap is not bothering my incision, arch support is wonderful and they are wide enough for a puffy post-surgery foot. Would be lost without them! Worth every penny!

I have gotten a lot of compliments on the look of this shoe. I recently had foot surgery and can only tolerate Birkenstocks and tennis shoes. I did buy one size up after reading reviews about the toe piece being uncomfortable. This seemed to do the trick though I do often end up with a bruise between my first two toes from it but only because is exactly at the surgical site. The footbeds are very comfortable and provide lots of support. Birks are one of the few shoes my podiatrist recommends and with good reason. I have not had any issues with the upper material being synthetic as some reviewers have complained about. There is so little material there that I don't see how breathability could really be an issue.

FYI. Graceful Licorice is NOT LEATHER. It doesn't specifically list one way or the other, but it is the same fabric as all the others. Fantastic looking shoe, but I need leather for the wear and tear.

These sandals are fantastic! I have a variety of foot issues - fallen arches, bursitis, tailor's bunions - which means I should really wear my orthotic inserts as much as possible, however, I just can't wear shoes in the summer - gotta have sandals! These are so comfortable, right out of the box. I was worried the straps would rub on the edges or some other nonsense - no way! These were comfortable for all day wear, right away. Also, a few weeks ago, I was at the orthopedist for tendinitis, and he put me in a walking boot on my left foot. I was of course worried about what to wear on my other foot. And he said these sandals were just perfect! Yep, Birkenstocks got the thumbs up from my foot/ankle doctor. I can't wait to buy another pair - just have to figure out what color I want!

These shoes are both stylish and comfortable. I have several other Birks but these are my new favorite. They are perfect for summer!

I absolutely love these sandals. I can wear them all day they are just that comfortable. I plan on buying them in other colors. Do not sleep on these sandals, they are sure to please!

I went with the consensus and ordered a half size down. I'm typically a 8.0 but I run a little below in some brands. So glad I went with the 7-7.5 and they fit perfectly. My arch lines up with the arch support and my toes meet the edge just right. These are ridiculously comfortable! Embrace the slightly dorky orthopedic look- they feel like walking on a well supported cloud.

Love these sandals! They were a bit stiff the first time on, but after that, they have conformed perfectly to my foot and are my go to sandal. They are super cute dressed up or down and I am looking forward to wearing them for many summers to come! Best part of Birkenstocks is there are Birkenstock repair shops that will replace the cork for you for around $50 - you will basically get a new shoe for just $50! Zappos recommended I get a larger European size than I actually wear, so I recommend sizing down one from what they recommend to ensure a proper fit.

Not as silvery in color (more gold) as the picture looks (and as the name Titanium implies?), at least on my monitor. I don't like gold especially so I'm returning them. But they are very comfortable. I have an old pair of closed-toe Birks that are still going strong and I can even wear them barefoot. Love them.

The Kairo is a great variation on the Gizeh. This one has the strap to firmly hold your foot in place. The thing some people don't realize about birkenstocks is that their width N (narrow) is actually a medium in the usa for women. The regular is more like a wide width for women. This can definitely make a difference in how the shoe fits on your foot.

Love these shoes. It took one day for my feet to get used to them and now I wear them for 8 hours straight at work, on my feet the whole time.

I bought a pair of Birkenstocks in Germany and they are the most amazing, comfortable sandals! When I saw these I had to get them. They are everything I hope for and more. The only thing is that they seem to run big. I should wear a 39, but a 38 or 37 feels a lot better to me.

I am a Birkenstock believer! They are comfy and stylish and one cannot wear them out! Well worth the money. I always had trouble with heel pain after wearing flat shoes for several weeks, but not with the Birenstock footbed! It allows the foot to have proper arch support so I can wear these great sandals for all type of walking activities and am still comfy--with no foot aches!! I have several pairs of Birkenstocks and love each one! I am a woman's size 81/2 to 9 and a Euro size 39 is always a true fit. They rock!

I love these sandals. I enjoy the firm footbed. The thong is not a problem for me. They are very stylish. I have high arches, so, the prominent arch support is perfect for me. They may take a little time to get used to, but they are totally worth it. I love Birkenstocks because they are comfortable and good for your feet.

I love my new Birkemstocks! I get compliments on them all the time. They fit great and feel good on my feet. As usual Zappos service was top knotch! The fit was true to size for Birkenstocks.

My Kairo Birkenstocks feels so good on. I wore them most of the time in the Bahamas. They look great on my feet. The first time I put them on, I felt the thong between my toes but after about the third day wearing them, I couldn't even tell it was there. I want a pair in black patent leather now. Amazing! Comfortable, cute, stylish, and just what anyone with arch support issues needs! Take a couple days to get used to but to find a sandal that is actually supportive and cute is well worth a couple days of breaking in!
