I bought my first pair back in 2006. They were by far the best pair of Sperrys I've ever owned. I bought another pair in 2016, and they were of horrible quality. Returned them. Bought another pair after a year went by to see if the model improved. Nope...both shoes are torn across the sole where my foot bends at the toes. Now every time I walk in the rain, my feet get soaked. Never ever will I buy another pair of Sperry Top Ciders. Cole Haan is my new brand. That's what happens when you go cheap on materials to make profit. You just lost a customer.

I bought these shoes for my wedding. After the ceremony and pictures I took them off, probably 45 minutes of wear time in total. The amaretto colour had transferred to my socks. I no longer want to wear these shoes and ruin other garments. I would not recommend this product.

If they only last a few months then it doesn't matter how they fit!

This shoe was the most comfortable and best fitting shoe I had ever worn. I got so many compliments on my oyster/taupe colored Mako Sperrys. What happened to the oyster/taupe color? It was the best! If y'all have any more available please let me know! I have been looking everywhere!

The left shoe side was cut 1/4 inch higher than the right. The shoe cut into the bottom of my left ankle. I'm not interested in the hassle of making a "free" return so I donated them to charity and bought another brand at the local mall. Really liked the style and quality of the leather.

The shoe is falling apart on the back. It ripped and a bunch of foam is now sticking out in less than 1 year I would stay away from the shoe and Zappos wants nothing to do with helping so I would also look to buy elsewhere!

I bought my first pair of maCos about 10 years ago and loved theM! So, i needed a new Pair and was excited to find they still made them. I opened the box and they look nothing like the paIr i owned before. They loOk and feel cheap. There are already wrinkles alOng the side of the shoe after wearing them one Time. It appears they are made From a cheaper material compareD to my first Pair. The toe box is wider and i orDered the same wiDth. I was excited to use these as a casual dress shoe. Now they have become designAted as a work shoe. I will never buy another pair.

I own three pair of the Stingray boat shoe. Absolutely love the style, comfort, and quality. It appears that the Mako line is designed to replace the Stingray. Looks are spot on. However, comfort is not. This is definitely a cheapened version. Way to go Sperry -- you've found the winning formula for alienating your customers while pleasing your stockholders. Good luck with that in the future.

Purchased in October 2013. Shoes (9 1/2 M) fit correctly but there was no padding in the front of the shoe. The shoe was uncomfortable to wear. I returned shoe for a refund. Will never buy online again.

Liked the shoe, but rubber sole split after 8 months of light infrequent wear.

Initially, the shoe is stiff and gave my heel blisters which it not a big deal and was expected. However, by the time I had worn the shoes around enough to break them in the insole had come unglued and the rubber soles were literally peeling off from the leather upper. What good is a shoe that doesn't last long enough to even become wearable?

I bought 2 pair amaretto and oak. Different boxes and slightly different details. Obviously two different factories. The back of the amaretto hooked into my foot just above the heel. VERY uncomfortable. The other pair fit beautifully.

The sole on the right shoe was uneven. The left front would not touch the ground when the right heal was on the ground. The left shoe had a dimple in the right front side that made it look weird. I can only say that these shoes were the product of poor quality control and I sent them back. Also, I ordered size ten and a half and they sent tens. I don't know if they fit because the sole was so uneven I couldn't stand to wear them long enough to find out.

I've worn Sperry's boat shoes for quite a long time, and I've never been so dissatisfied with a pair of shoes. My last two pairs have been at the same price point but were of considerably higher quality. In comparison to my last two pairs (which span nearly 5 years of ownership), the leather on these shoes is stiff, unyielding and of poor quality. The sole is too firm, and even the laces feel cheap. I miss the days when Sperry made boat shoes out of soft, comfortable leather for this price or less. It seems their recent popularity has caused a decrease in material quality and comfort. Needless to say I'm severely disappointed. My last couple pairs have been incredibly comfortable right out of the box. This is what made me fall in love with Sperry boat shoes. However, after three days of wearing this new pair, I have blisters on both of my heels and shin splints after normal walking. No pair of shoes should be this uncomfortable from the first wear. In conclusion, I don't think I'll ever buy another pair of Sperry's. Their quality has reached a new low, while their prices continue to inflate. I'm doubtful this review will stay up as it's so negative, but this is my honest opinion, and I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

Purchased last month. Arrived on time with no hassels. Comfortable from the first day. The fit was perfect and the quality is what I expected from Sperry. Haven't worn them around the water yet . Hopefully the shoes will perform on wet surfaces as well as they do on dry land. Good looking enough for a casual dress shoe and hopefully will last many years.

I purchased an 8W and when I received the product, the shoes were too long. I then shipped back/returned and re-ordered a 7.5W. When the second set of shoes were received, they were too short. This was my first experience with Sperry and will most likely be my last. It was also expensive with two round trip shipping charges from the factory and back.

I have worn 10 wide for the past 40+ years. These 10 wide shoes are to wide and to long. they are uncomfortabel to wear. I added an insole that helped but they are still not right. I won't purchase Sperry shoes again. Unfortunately these have been worn enough that they cannot be returned.
