Can't Get No Satisfaction - This product looks and smells just great. The problem I have with it is that I cannot get the darn things out of the shoe! For a 72 year old with tired hands, that's frustrating.

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)

I guess I thought I might save some money and go with these Woodlore spring-extended combination trees, as I normally buy the much costlier full-cut J&M trees. Unfortunately, my experiment did not work out to my liking. The width of these Woodlore shoe trees is absolutely correct. However, I see the length as a major issue. They are much too short and do not support the far end of the toe area. I fully expect that certain creases that may occur in the shoe toe from wearing will not be remedied by these trees. I guess you get what you pay for. I will be returning all of these trees as part of my order and will be placing an order for the full cut J&M shoe trees, which although a whopping 60% costlier, in my experience is the only option for "filling out" the shoe.

Thanks for the splinters. Aren't they supposed to smooth these downs so I don't get a splinter using it?

Quality not up to par - The shoe tree tension isn't adjustable. Also, the shoe tree's heel seems to have too much of a point and is presently stretching the heel of my shoes. I love Zappos, but the quality of this shoe tree leaves something to be desired.

Bad choice. I will no longer pretend that I like this product. It is too hard to extract from the shoe and I'm afraid it will, in time, damage the shoe. Zappos, this product carries your label on a metal tag. Shame and fie on your house.

I place the SM size in 8.5/42 EUR loafers, made by Bruno Magli, Italian and expensive. The shoes had fit excellently until these stretched them. I believe the spring tension is too high. I also believe that these ought to be adjustment-based rather than spring-based. In any case, they did great damage to my shoes.

The size chart calls for a XXL for my size 15EE. They do not come close to filling the forefront of the shoe. The shoe trees appear well made, and the cedar is beautifull and airomatic. I will be returning them and continue searching for a larger size.
