The leather is soft, the sole is thick which protects the foot, and the adjustable strap helps customize the fit to one's foot. The only downside was that the toe box wasn't nearly as roomy as the picture makes it look, so it's going to take some stretching and breaking in to make the shoe truly comfortable.

The wrong size was sent. I had asked for a wide size and they sent a narrow. Considering the size discrepancy they felt like they would be comfortable at the right size. We shall see. New ones on the way.

Purchased for my 95yo grandmother who has difficulty finding comfortable shoes due to poor circulation. These are awfully nice looking diabetic-approved shoes. She found they adjusted well enough to fit her feet and were easy to fasten, but they felt heavy and less comfortable to walk in than some of Propet's more sporty-looking offerings. If your priority is style and ease of fastening and you don't need a lightweight shoe, these would be a good option. They look very nice with a pair of slacks.

I exchanged an 11W (too long) for a 10 1/2W and though they're very comfortable overall, the width was too narrow. It turns out I truly should be wearing a double wide, which these come in fortunately. Summer's over though, so I'm waiting on getting them in a 10 1/2 WW. If you need firm support, these are excellent and cute. Run about 1/2 size too long though.

I wear 11W and need firm arch support. These were very comfortable in a firm way (not very cushioned, yet still very comfortable), but too long. The width was right on spot though. Exchanged for a 10 1/2 W.

For those like me who have extremely wide, relatively short feet with bunions, high insteps, and one foot a half-size different shoe size from the other, it's really a problem getting both feet comfortably fitted in any single pair of shoes. Although not quite as wide as advertised, these 4E Propet Mary Jane Walkers come closer than any closed toe shoes so far to a comfortable fit, and I will be able to wear them for short stretches of time when closed toe shoes are necessary attire.

I will never buy Propet shoes again because the sole ended up after a year or so (did not wear them much and have other shoes I have had for 20 years) the sole just crumbled. I took them to a repair shop and they said they could not be fixed.

I have a bunion and these shoes really are helpful. Besides that, Zappos is so easy to work with. This is the only way to buy shoes.

I received these shoes a few days ago - quick shipping! Length and width are true to size. They look good, too. However, I wear arch inserts and have high arches, so the hook and loop strap leaves a large gap on the side. Since I have carpet and cats, I'm going to have to figure out how to cut off the exposed hooks. The front cuts across the top of my feet, and they rub at the back. Wish they came in brown!

I really want to like these enough to keep them. They have a slight "poof" sound when I walk in them (without socks or knee high hosiery). I'll give them some time, walk around the house and see if it goes away. I have a WW foot and I need a very comfortable shoe that I can wear to work instead of my black walking sneakers. I am on my feet for a good portion of the day with this job and need something comfortable with a thick enough sole so I don't feel every single rock & pebble I walk on.

Too narrow - with most brands a regular Wide works well for me, but this was severely too tight. Looks nice, though, so I may try an extra wide.

Nice shoe for someone who needs orthopedic shoes. My inserts just fit. Wish they had just a bit more room and they would be perfect. As it is I can just get them to close. Am keeping them but will kee looking.

I have neuropathy in one foot and a pronated heel on the other and wear an orthotic. I ordered them to use as house shoes since I cannot wear slippers but I wear them every where because they are comfortable, good looking and give me great support. I love these shoes. today, I am ordering my second pair.

I love this shoe. So does my cat. She cuddles up with them. (Crazy huh?) Anyway I wish they came in more colors. Would love a pair in brown.

I have had my Propet Mary Jane Walkers for about 4 years! I am ordering a new pair. That should tell you it all! Other then the strap was not long enough for my High instep to come back across the top of my foot to reach the Velcro! I had to go to a shoe smith and had him add more strap. The first local shoe smith made a mess of things! So when I went to visit my daughter I had her take me to a shoe smith in her town! They were able to do a wonderful job, I have used the shoes for at least 4 years! I would Love more of a selection of shoes in my size, or even many more colors of the Mary Jane: Brown, Bronze, Pewter, Red, Brick, Navy, Bone, PURPLE, ETC.! Thanks for allowing me to express myself! I've bought this shoe before and it has lasted a long time. This time, the shoe was too big so I returned them. I ordered the same size as I did the first time, so I'm not sure why they were too big. They are a very comfortable and relatively cute walking shoe, and did I mention durable.

I've had knee and ankle problems lately and the doctor I saw helped me choose these shoes. They look good enough to wear with a suit and are so comfortable!

These shoes were oddly shaped and did not really fit my feet. The length and width were good and true to size. Orthofeet has similar shoes which are what I will buy.

This is a great shoe. I have recent feet problems and am having difficulty finding comfortable shoes. I never did in the past, just always shopped Zappos. Sending these back because the heel hurts. I will try again.

My verdict still isn't in on these shoes. No problem with them other than they're not the right fit for me. At first they seemed a good fit but after I wore them for an hour or two they started to cut into the top of my foot. I have a real problem with shoes so I won't fault the shoe itself.

A comfortable shoe with toe room and a good fit at the heel (for those of us with feet that are wide at the toes and narrow at the heel!). I got a 10 W as medium was too narrow. The strap, which has a velcro fastener, is a bit better designed than the older versions of this shoe; I think it'll stay "stuck" better longer. The shoe looks nice with slacks and could be worn with a casual skirt as well.

I was hesitant; would these shoes be comfortable and sturdy enough for the all-day standing and walking quickly through airports I sometimes have to do? Would my feet feel pain at the end of my work day? So far, so good. I am very pleased with these shoes. I don't have other shoes to compare them to nor have I worn them for very long, only a week, which is why I only give them 4 stars at this time. They aren't the most stylish shoes, but I'll take comfort over style any day.

Finally found a wide enough pair of dress casual shoes. Good fit all around, and can wear all the time. The shoes fit my fitted insole arch supports.
