I have used this bag twice now on month long trips over to Europe and, wow, is it awesome. It might not look very spacious but it will fit everything, and then some! Really durable, great maneuverability. The separate compartments are really good and overall it's an amazing bag!

This bag is great for anybody, but if you like organization, it's a must have. There are so many pockets and mesh zippers to separate the different areas that you can keep everything nice and orderly. The styling is great as well, and comes in many different designs. The only thing I wasn't sure about before I bought the bag was whether I should get the large or the small of the split roller bags. The large roller is the second largest of the three split roller bags, but it is a pretty big bag. I bought the split roller small, as well, after I bought this one, because a three or four day trip - it is actually a little too big. I always overpack anyway, and it still felt a little big. If it came down to getting one or the other, I would suggest the small, because it's probably a better size for average length trips. Overall, I love the bag and it's pretty fantastic. I would recommend it to anyone - but make sure you know what size you want before you get it.

My wife and I bought matching DaKine bags for our 3 week trip to Europe. The functionality, durability and compartment design made our trip so much easier. We loved the locking zipper loops and put mini pad locks on all our zippers while using the Euro rail. Last minute items were stowed in the exterior bags. The durable wheels made the 60 pounds that I was carrying more bearable. The straps were made right because I was lugging both bags up and down stairs on a regular basis (no elevators in the metro). Our bags will now be used for snowboarding trips because they can hold our clothes and ski wear.
Brands I'd also recommend: Burton, Lost, GoPro, Mares, Ikelite, Loaded boards

This suitcase is awesome. We travel all over the world and it is the best layout I've ever seen. All of the handles make it easy to move around. It needs a few more trips to see how well it holds up but so far it is the best suitcase I've ever purchased.

I bought one of the earlier split rollers in 2006. After 5 years of heavy use the main zipper broke. It took one email to Dakine and they replaced it with a brand new bag. This one is even better than the one I had. Great customer service. When they say lifetime warranty they mean it. Thanks.

Much bigger than we anticipated, but has great storage compartments on the inside of the bag. Perfect for traveling if you tend to overpack. Overall, we love the bag.

Got this bag as a gift for my boyfriend for his birthday. He loved it. It has many great compartments and seems to be very sturdy. Fabric is much more durable than expected. Very satisfied with this bag. He liked it so much he had me order other matching bags to go with it. Great service from Zappos too!

This is the best suitcase I have ever owned! I live in a rural area, and travel frequently with work to larger cities, where I do most of my clothes shopping. I can pack so much in this bag without it becoming a strain on my muscles. I highly recommend it!
