Great styling and comfort! Have loved these shoes since I got them out of the box. In response to all of the comments about the sole cracking, I called Cole Haan and the very courteous representative told me that it was an issue with a batch of shoes and should be resolved now but that if I have that issue then they would make it right. Hopefully that is no longer an issue. These shoes are exactly what I was looking for, casual yet slightly dressy, great for work or for jeans.

Follow-Up from my 1/31 review. Come on Cole Haan, this is completely and utterly incomprehensible. I did not heed other reviewers and just as they predicted I now have full depth cracks laterally under the balls of the feet on both shoes after 4 months of wear. This is much more of a testament when you consider I am seated for 95% of the day and I do not wear these walking to and from work. Only in the office and its carpeted! Unacceptable. Whomever developed this sole for this shoe did not do any testing whatsoever. Its a shame that the sole ruins what would otherwise be a comfortable, good looking shoe. Do not buy this shoe.

These are very comfortable shoes. Once you get past the new shoe feeling they are perfect. They are relaxing to walk in. I am not required to stand at work and these feel great to walk and stand in for long periods of time.

I have had the same pair of these shoes for over a decade. They go great with khakis or jeans. I have worn these shoes on industrial job sites and then wiped them down for church. For me they are my go to shoe - understated and quality.

These shoes are an attractive, comfortable, and well constructed shoe for my husband's hard-to-fit feet (11 1/2 wide). He is an orthopedic surgeon so he is on his feet during surgery or seeing patients all day. These are terrific for in the office and at social events. The window in the heel design is a bit odd but fortunately not too eye catching. We would recommend this shoe! (I am the designated shoe purchaser because we live in a rural community on California's "Lost Coast" with few shopping options and he simply won't buy shoes for himself. He was delighted with this purchase and has become a vicarious Zappos fan and now tells patients about your shopping site).
I'd also recommend: Dansko (for on-you-feet-all-day fit, comfort, arch support, and quality construction).
